I love your channel! I thought i as the only one who loved bar soap this much...until i found your channel... Now when i want to try new soap i just come here to see your reviews first if you dont like it im not buying it lol
Simple hack: Use a crown cork with a little hole in the middle or even better a metal ring (copper or stainless steel) and press it into the soap to use as a stand. Press it in after you showered with the soap for the first time when it's warm and soft. If you don't like the ring while lathering just pull it out again and use the ring as a stand. This way the soap can dry fast.
Thanks for this! I'm with you I like to switch up my soaps and body washes. Hubby does not get why I'm buying more soap when the closet shelf,,,bathroom drawers are full..He is the use the bar of soap until its microscopic and then open a new one lol. Love your channel! Thanks for the great reviews!
well done....ive seen some soapers recommend leaving them out opened so they dry out hard and will last longer....but they will lose aroma and get dry and crumbly so whats the use of lasting longer if the quality is diminished? i always seal unfinished soaps in a ziplock ..and the small nubs left when l use a bar up go in my shaving mug.
I needed to know this before I knew I needed to know this because I want to use a different bar of soap but I thought it would be wasting the bar I already have being used
Please tell me how aren't you afraid of your soap's expire date? I mean you have too many products that you can't finish them all in one year or two, what are you going to do when you find out that your collection has beeN out of date? That's why I don't buy another soap or product until I finish the one that I'm using.
I've never had a problem with old bar soaps , body washes on the other hand sometimes do have problems like the separation of the ingredients in the bottle ( I just give it a good shake ) .
I always store mine unwrapped. I find that it lets the bars fully air out and this process makes them last longer in the shower. Of course, you'll probably never have to worry about running out of soap!
I use a simple Dr Squatch wood soap holder. It's good to keep bar soap 🧼 dry when not in use. I spray the wood holder with Ballistol too but that's not mandated. 😉
I just use a Cheap Soap that I keep in/on a Soap Dish, I put flushable Wet Wipes under them and initially that makes them and the Wipes Soggier/Gooier but after I wring the Wet Wipe out of all the Soap and its own Moisture and Replace it under the Soap then it Dries out and soaks all the unwanted Moisture out of the Soap!.
@BarSoap Guy what soap do you suggest if i want a soup that cleans very well but smells good and the scent last all day or for a few hours... Can you give tips on how to make the soup scent last longer on you?
There's really not much you can do to make it last longer as most soaps have a mild fragrance to them ..One of the best smelling soaps I've used yet though is from the Somerset toiletry company , it's their strawberry and papaya bar.
Hey barsoapguy thank you for the information it was extremely helpful😊 How often should I change my barsoap. I glad I found your channel as I wanted to buy 4 bath products -2 showergels Elemis nourishing shower cream Castile tree tea liquid soap 2 barsoaps Fresh cocoa ( that's how I found the channel) Black clay bath soap But felt extremely guilty ( why do i I need so many) I need to change my hygiene routine as I am starting to smell and its an awful feeling.
I would suggest at least a week of use per product before swapping to something new . ( it can be fun to try lots of everything in quick succession but it takes a toll on most people's skin ).
The tea-tree and black clay can help someone with an open-pore issue (like yourself) a lot. If you're having a body odor issue, lay off of the moisturizer as much as possible and make sure you're using a fresh moisturizer or preferably one with tea tree like Paul Mitchell's TEA TREE HAIR AND BODY MOISTURIZER. You should also switch to a bar of sulphuric soap. Sulphur (a.k.a. sulfur) will kill the bacterial build up that's on your skin. I would recommend using the entire bar. You could even invest in some pharmaceutical grade sulphur and use that mixed (10% sulfer or 1 pt sulfur 9 parts cornstarch) with corn starch for about 2 or 3 days a week (Friday after work, sat and Sunday after church, because sulfur has a stronger smell) for 4 to 6 weeks. Make sure youre bleach cleaning your shower and kitchen. Purchase, borrow, or rent a steamer to treat the matriss on your bed, all bed toppers you have then put them out in the sun for about 4 hours on each side, and steam/wash then sun, or have your pillows dry cleaned or just replace them. Consider adding at least a cup of cleaning Vinegar (10% vs. cooking vinegar at 5%) your clothes while on wash along with heavy enzimatic laundry detergent (like tide ultra or pursil), invest in some Lysol Laundry Sanitizer to use as directed, then machine wash and dry (high heat temperatures kill microbes) as well as sun the dry clothes for about 2 hours if you can (UVA & UVB rays kill microbes). My father was military and these are little tricks I learned to eliminate the bacterial build up on his uniform. It's hard# to get it gone, because what you have is an over growth of normal microbes on you and you serve as an incubator for these microbes to thrive everything you touch (lay/sit on), but once the over growth is gone it's easy to maintain with the right materials. Consider getting a essential oil mister and use tea-tree oil ($7 from walmart.com). If you buy premade sulfer body soap, it isn't rancid with sulfur smell and actually smells quite pleasant. There's sulfur soap with activated charcoal that both kills the microbial build up in your skin while the charcoal serves as a deodorizer. You can purchase sulfur bar soap online, while you're waiting for it to ship I suggest using sulfer7 shampoo or Tgel (both dandruff shampoos you can get from any pharmacy) from head to toe. While you're doing this, hit your hot-spots like pits, feet, neck & back and inner thighs (avoid crotch, face and never let it get in ears because if you have a hole in your ear drum it can cause deafness) with Hibiclense (purchase from any pharmacy including Walmart). Hibiclense is a medical antimicrobial soap that kills microbes including fungus and bacteria for about 24 hours if used as directed. Hospitals use it to bathe bed bound patients. The best way to use Hibiclense is to buy the foaming bottle because it's thin as water like castle soap. Mint, Lavender & Tea Tree Castle soap is great at nixing B.O. as well because of the protective layers of oil it leaves on your skin, but it's more of a daily maintenance situation for people with larger pores that tend to store microbes then what I have recommended. The suggestions I have made are treatments that can correct the odor that comes after microbes have formed a colony. I have to do this, not because I have odor, or the pores which tend to cause it, but because I've had MRSA since I was an infant from my time in Europe as a military dependent. Hope it works for you. It keeps my MRSA colonies under control and I haven't had any amputations, so I'm doing pretty good. My medical staff got me started on Hibiclense treatments in elementary school. When my diabetic grandmother lost both her feet to MRSA infection, my skin scrape-test revealed that I had high levels of MRSA, so they started me on hibiclense and tea tree shampoos, because I was covered in it literally from head to toe. Every scratch they took from me grew MRSA in the lab. The area of the medical lab my samples were grown in actually had to be shut down and sterilized because after they reach a specific colonial count of MRSA the lab is considered corrupted until it's cleaned properly due to contamination issues. My samples were not the only# contamination they had, but it was a part of it. Hope this helps you. My dad was only rationed a single set of physical training sweats from the military and let's not even address his boots... BTW, ozium works well for your shoes and lay a bit of antifungal powder in your shoes, give them a good shake to distribute the powder, and wear them. When u wash them, remember to re-powder and a touch more Ozium. Ozium is an Over The Counter spray that's a better grade spray sanatizer then lysol. It's what the bowling alley uses to sanitize shoes only they have the good stuff due to their business license. Another handy trick for shoes, gymbag, or workout wear is to soak them in barbisol (barbers blue sanitizing agent) let them completely dry, then give them a good washing in the warmest possible water the material can handle. God bless. ♡
You're actually seeing most of my stock, on the lower level of shelving I've got large tubs with my previously tested soaps .. might do a bathroom tour someday. .
Love ur channel but what about the good body wash like Victoria secret pure seduction or love spell as well as bath and body works a thousand wishes or something that sweet, fruity or a awesome sell from there
i started getting into bar soaps since so many people are making such interesting ones nowadays but theyre hard for me to use because they always get slimy and nasty after using them and its gross to me..
I'm curious as to what you do with the horrible soaps that you purchase...the infamous demon goat soap from Canada Caprina Fresh Goats milk soap comes to mind....lol
I store everything now in case I need to compare a soap against something else ( I get comparative questions from time to time ) . I should also have a few other different bars from Caprina that I never got around to reviewing. I actually did attempt to look for the unopened packages a month ago but I must have hid them too well .
I so thought we were going to see you pull out a foodsaver and vacuum pack the soaps. Informative thanks for sharing.
LOL....gotta get all the air out like a NASA ready to eat meal ..

If I only had a handful of soaps I suppose I'd let mine air dry as well but with the number I've got my house would be WAY too fragrant..
Im glad you find them ok if letting them air dry. I kinda didnt want to put something in plastic when im trying not to use plastic
What do you do with the last bit of soap? When it’s so small that it keeps slipping lol
You should cover the wanderer bar soap by dollar shave club
Thanks!

It's won't work well here in Missouri. To humid! In a dry climate like Arizona it's very practical!!
sometimes i forget humidity exists lol ...
I collect bar soap i have 256 of them 🤓#love your Chanel
Dang!! what are some of your favorite soaps ?
I just use a Cheap Soap that I keep in/on a Soap Dish, I put flushable Wet Wipes under them and initially that makes them and the Wipes Soggier/Gooier but after I wring the Wet Wipe out of all the Soap and its own Moisture and Replace it under the Soap then it Dries out and soaks all the unwanted Moisture out of the Soap!.
Sir I need the Chandrika shops where do I can get and give me address
I love the word “soap.”
you have as much soap in your place as i do. look at that stash

I think the caress soap fragrance lasts quite awhile for a bar of soap.
if you don't use soap at all your scent will linger a long time
Hey BarSoap guy, like your videos. Very informative, did you check out "Cantu men's collection shea butter body wash". I think pretty good.
Never heard of them before but I do see they're sold at Walmart. .
Nice video. I’m actually in the process of upgrading my bathroom. Do you have a link to your Amazon list?
I don’t sorry.
Hey barsoapguy

You should get a wire rack in your shower to place the bar on when you’re done using it . Will be way less slimy that way .
@@BarSoapGuy thank you for taking the time to respond to a comment on a 3 year old video. I will definitely try using a wire rack :)
🙀
