    I have another tip to make a bar of soap last longer. Take the soap out of the packaging, and let it air dry for up to two months or more. The dryer the bar of soap is, the longer it will last.
    I love the scent of all types of Irish Spring soap, and I always have at least five bars of it unwrapped in my bedroom just for the scent. When I need a bar of it for the shower, I take a bar from my bedroom, and then open a new bar to put back in the bedroom.
    Back in 1972 when I first started using Irish Spring soap, it came in 5 oz bars. They have reduced the weight about five times in the past 50 years. I can't figure this out, but when I was using the 5 ounce bars, they lasted much longer than the current 3.7 ounce bars. LOL

      It would be nice to see a big chunky bar from irish spring. I too quite like the scent and sometimes keep it unboxed just for the odour. Appreciate the info. I actually tried this with some dove bars and it does work.

      I took your idea to the next level and put a few bars of soap in my oven on the broil setting.
      It didn't work out as I'd imagined and my wife is still livid about the situation.
      All of our chicken strips and pizzas taste a little weird....but I keep telling her that our soap is lasting at least 10% longer- admittedly I'm lying about the length of the soap....it really took a beating in the oven and barely lathers at all.
      And they are really rough now too.

      @ harrymonsoon739-- There are a lot of videos on RUclips about people putting a bar of soap in a microwave and heating it up. Ivory soap seems to work the best if you want a large amount of fluffy soap. However, the fluffy soap that comes out of the microwave seems unusable in the shower.
      I wouldn't recommend doing this, as I would think that your food could have a soap scent and taste for awhile.

    This actually helped me so much, I couldn’t figure out why my Dr Squatch soap was almost gone and it’s been only a week, turns out it’s a heavy grit bar, I’ll buy more zero grit ones from now on after watching this. This is a huge help man!

    I always loved bar soap but the internet made me get shower gels and all that and I don't use them at all I always reach my hand to the bar soap. And I just realize I don't like showers gel or stuff like when I was young I I also had a " collection " as everyone but mine was a " bar soap collection " and I understand why I can like and enjoy liquid body wash cause I always was a bar soap person. I can't understand I didn't realize earlier how obsessed I'm with them even when I had a colection of them .. Jesus love you man❤

    Thanks. I’ve switched back to bar soap and am trying to find one that works for my skin. I must shower “daily” because I work in a hospital boiler room.

      @@BarSoapManCanada where we, wife and I, were living before was a tiny mobile home. 14 feet by 48 feet and an even smaller bathroom. I bought it thinking I was going to live there alone for the rest of my life. Two years later met the wife. Switched to body wash for her and the lack of tub space. Now live in a home with double the square footage and a much larger bathroom. Have a nice place for the bar soap away from the shower spray. Have added an AC vent to the bathroom for better air exchange. Have started with Dove for Men bar. Was using too much by fully lathering up a washcloth to rub over the body. Now use the washcloth on the back without soap as a mild exfoliate. Have a new bar to try soon that I got from a local family owned drug store. It’s Yardley oatmeal and almond. Am a bit worried about the fragrance. Another I may try is the old fashion pine tar soap. The Dove for Men is a body and face soap. I lathered up my hands and rubbed my hands onto my face. The smell is ok, almost like Irish Spring. If I was having reactions I’d probably switch to old fashion Ivory soap for the body.

      @@sailordave1000 I’m glad to hear that things are good for you and your family in the new home. That’s a nice story thank you for sharing 😊. I am currently using and testing the Yardley Lavender. Not bad but not amazing lol. You should go through my videos on my channel maybe you will find a bar that meets your needs. Ivory is a good value, but i actually dont like it very much.

      @@BarSoapManCanada because of my work I have to shower before bed. Need a soap with a light fragrance or at least a fragrance that fades quickly. Having a strong type fragrance can make it more difficult to fall asleep. I even use a Lubriderm for Men unscented lotion for this reason. I don’t even have cologne nor fragrant aftershave.

    Can you make a bar of soap from all the small pieces of the same soap? It’s Yardley oatmeal and almond.

      @LivingSimple66 2 года назад +1

      Yes you can melt down your bars of soap to make another bar of soap or you can just put your soaps in soap bags and you never have to remove the tiny pieces just keep refilling them with a new bar soap that way no soap goes to waste

    I would never tell somebody to put their soap inside that pink soap dish especially after you've just used it and it's wet it will grow bacteria so fast from the mush that will grow on those grooves... If you're going to use a soap dish like that it should be with a dry bar of soap and a soap bag is best because it allows your soap to dry that's how you keep your bar of soap longer... And you don't need to dry your borrow soap if you're using the bar of soap properly you know when to stop using the soap because the soap makes a film over itself the things you're saying are crazy but hey whatever works for you... Oh and those loofahs are filled with crazy bacteria tested if you don't believe me there's no way I'm going to rub those on my skin after they've been sitting in the shower they're not even handled with Clean hands
