In the late 70’s my husband daughter and I were on holiday in Amsterdam. I was a feminist and my husband was also was a feminist. We walked to our hotel and my daughter was running in front of and saw the windows - she turned to her father and said “daddy why are those ladies wearing no clothes and knitting? “
My husband was in the military and I was a feminist. I cost him promotion twice because of my views and he always supported me - he was what I called a quiet feminist. He loved women and always did more in the home than I did and encouraged my ambition sometimes to the detriment of his career. He could not accept the behaviour of some men and said so
I see prostitution as a Human Rights issue first and this I concluded while visiting Holland and noticing something quite disturbing about ladies displayed in windows as consumer goods with most of ladies appeared to be foreign. Holland has legalised sex trafficking and has dressed it up literarily as Human Beings, being displayed as products to purchase / rent in shop fronts. The erroneous social and historical construct created by liberals is that this dreadful practice reflects and projects the Netherlands as a tolerant, liberal and enlightened society. The reality says different, as the Netherlands tolerates, encourages and facilitates sex trafficking.
Thank you so much for having us on your series. It was a pleasure and we’ve really enjoyed watching the other interviews!
You can tell the world has gone completely mad, old school conservatives have got more time for Julie Bindel than Owen Jones and the Guardian lot! 😆😆😆😆
Thumbs up is not working.
Professionally ive known 1,000 current or former people in the sex trade. Some entered at young as 12. I never heard onebperson talk of it empowering. To state so only shows complete ignorence
This was a great interview, but too short.
What a fantastic interview
And so I find myself in another echo chamber. I want to see debates not people affirming each other own beliefs and experiences.
I've been involved in 2 abortions a long time ago now, and I feel guilty and bad about it 30 years later. I'm a man btw.
Thought it would be about Brianna and Rishi's joke.
It's clear this man's partner wasn't on board with his early use of pornography, but what did his partner's boyfriend think of it?
I love all the Action Men conversations. However, I sure find it odd that in most conversations about corn and $m3x traffic, feminists who actually are feminists don’t bring up the industry’s danger to boys. It is really a danger to women and children. Why the focus on women and girls I cannot really understand.
These boys have mothers. The job starts there. My mother was very sexist. She was raised to revere men and do everything for them. She churned out a piece of work in my brother.
julie bindel vasectomy clinic...that would be interesting!
Abortion should be restricted to 12 weeks which is the time you get your ‘Established’ scan in pregnancy … of course certain life threatening physical and mental issues aside 😢 I don’t see how you can argue for body autonomy and anti violence if you ignore that of an established foetus to experience peace and safety in the womb 😢
If Suttka would listen to this, he’d learn that his speech patterns are getting in the way of his very good points. Too many, “you knows” and “kinda”.
He sounds like he has a gay soul
