  • Julie Bindel speaks to law academic, Michael Foran who is based at the University of Glasgow. Michael played a key role campaigning against Nicola Sturgeon who attempted to push through the Gender Recognition Act (GRA) - a bill allowing self identifying females into women's spaces. Michael wrote a legal paper to explain how the GRA could be in breach of equality laws - and bring down Sturgeon's campaign.

It’s going to be very tempting for a lot of people to become single issue voters at least until the trans activists stop the bullying.

Great interview. Pleased to see Michael has come over from the dark side. As a gay man in Newcastle upon Tyne I absolutely loathe Stonewall. They're cowards. Never ever have I seen a representative of Stonewall be interviewed despite numerous media outlets inviting them to their studios. Instead Stonewall issue press releases. They're afraid of being challenged because they know their man can be a woman and vice versa is 100% shit and they'd be shot down in flames at every turn. Kudos to Julie and to the LGB Alliance. ❤

Thank you for putting into words. The reason why I never considered myself as a feminist. I am an American from Hispanic background. I never really conceptually connected with American feminism. And now you've put into words why they don't take care of the basement... The women who really need are help. Thank you julie...

Gender reassignment should never have been a thing. Let them have surgery if they want to pay for it, in the same way as someone could have a nose job or bigger boobs, but to say that men are suddenly women because they have surgery is a nonsense

  • @seekerout

I wish I'd been as thoughtful and insightful as Michael is when I was 29. I really enjoyed listening to this conversation.

As a Scottish Unionist, I just hate the way the SNP have appropriated Saint Andrew's saltire, which should be the symbol of Scotland, to represent their political Party.🙄

  • @katiemiaana

Who is this guy?! I'm sat here gobsmacked that a man is uttering common sense feminism. It is so bloody pathetic but I'm grateful he's on the team.

  • @AngryBootneck

I’m a Conservative man and I like listening to Julie, we can disagree but at least she’s got a sense of humour and a personality! The modern woke lot are sorely lacking in both!

Two bathrooms for men, no bathroom for women.

  • @Katzenjammer82

This was great! We need more adult conversation and clear-eyed rationalism around this topic, instead of hysteria and increasingly meaningless buzzwords.

  • @evielennard9017

Isn't Michael just a breath of fresh air.

  • @210195111

Brilliantly capable people wasted on this nonsense. We're in trouble.

  • @liverpoolmary2860

    Michael is a star

  • @franky3236

What completely blows my mind is these laws and policies are becoming more legitimised in countries which are meant to protect civil liberty as the foundation to democracy

A conversation worth listening to and thinking about. My understanding is adjusting as a result and so thanks to both of you.

A wonderfully open and intelligent discussion in the best manner. Two souls discussing the reality of the 'human condition' and it's contradictions and how we see things both as individuals and as a society. Both matter! Michael Foran (who I have never heard of before) and Julie Bindel who I have admired for decades for her sincerity and focus on suffering reduction both learning from each others perspective and showing mutual respect and even admiration.. A RARE soulful treat!

  • @Larkarran

Loved this. So open and frank and good-natured. Really good atmosphere. Looking forward to the next entry in the series!

  • @Enhancedlies

we need more of this! love both of these Titans

  • @candidapple

I still dont understand why this bill was ever a thing, its on the same level of insane as dylan mulvaney interviewing the president. What. Is. Happening.
