Great interview. Pleased to see Michael has come over from the dark side. As a gay man in Newcastle upon Tyne I absolutely loathe Stonewall. They're cowards. The trans issue is singular in that you could vote for a party that has a major policy that you disagree with, if you find the majority of their policies preferable to those of the alternatives parties. With trans, it boils down to whether a party will espouse that which they know to be patently and inarguably untrue, to the detriment of the electorate, with a straight face AND admonish those who do speak the truth. It is frightening that Starmer could be PM having said that it's 'not right' to say only a woman can have a cervix. Sadiq Khan has suggested it endangers people to ask whether women can have a penis. This is dark behaviour. Labour has shown it is prepared to try to suppress discussion of it's position and why? Because they know the positions are unsupportable.

I would not just prefer, but absolutely believe we need to repeal the GRA 2004. The act makes a fiction into law (similar to blasphemy laws, it privileges an ideology over biological facts). No one can change their biological sex so it is wrong to allow someone to change the biological sex recorded on their birth certificate. Thus, it allows for other laws and prescendents to set (pronouns, women being described as mentruators cervix havers, birthing parent). Note that this affects females more than men.
@@AngelaHavey if you want to make a legal sex change absolute impossible you have at first to specify "biological sex" in laws, which was yet done nowhere around the world. Otherwise you will have a flood of lawsuits for each and eyery case when someone says their sex was assigned wrong at birth. Simply saying "the sex of a person is the sex recorded at birth" does only work in authoritarian states like Hungary and Russia. Do you want the UK to become some only for that topic? I think "biolocical sex" is generally not specifyable in laws without making arbitrary assumptions, also has then to happen a new categorization of some cis people against their will.
We need to basically dismantle everything New Labour put in place between 1997 and 2010. The 2010 equalities act in particular has handed the left control of the entire public sector.

Julie Bindel is a joy. She is a very serious woman, with very serious interests and opinions, whose charming personality is her biggest weapon when she takes up cudgels against those who seek to frustrate her political campaigns. Those who sit in the House of Commons would do well to emulate her combination of integrity and humour.
She pushed this hideous rad-fem doctrine her whole life - she laid the groundwork for all of this lunacy. She doesn't get to whine now that the monster she created has decided to bite her.
@@HallOween-sx5jt - I am not paid by anyone for my opinions, but you wouldn't understand that as unlike me you do not make comments under your real name.
So did the British government when they stopped the bill. The high court's agreed it was lawful to stop it. Sturgeon resigned weeks ago. This is just beating a dead horse now. "Never fight the last war"
It was feminists like Bindel who spent their whole lives pushing the "gender is a social construct" nonsense - which led directly to all this insanity. Now they're whining that the same tactics and ideology is being used against them: and I have *zero* sympathy.
Never been a fan of Julie Bindel and probably a lot of that has come from how she has been portrayed and how in her younger days how she presented herself. Still not going to agree with a lot of her opinions but i do like to hear them and my philosophy is that look for where you agree, have common ground, similar opinions and ideas.
I have a lot of respect for the British "feminists" as Julie is...because they are the ones standing up against the transmovement, but I think we should accept the biological male and female roles, and develop some sort of balance between traditional roles and the modern way, but let women be women en just women!
I'll believe that women truly want equality when women support changing the divorce and child custody laws so that men enter court on equal footing. Moreover, equality demands that paternity testing should be a requirement before the awarding of child support.
Most of the SNP, all of the Scottish Green &Libdem, most of Scottish Labour and 3 Tory MSPs voted for the Bill. A 2/3 majority. Interview Ian Blackford or get them to debate.
First time watching and found it great. Clear honest conversation on a subject that has interested me from the age of 20 (now 62) and which I have tried to implement with female friends i.e. we are the same when we work together in all aspects of life to mutual acceptable conclusions (probably not the right 2 words but best I can think of for now). Thank you.
You can see, in Michaels eyes, the depth with which he has delved on this subject. A clever guy. Also, Julie is equally as engaging on this subject. Very much worth watching.
Whenever I hear a young person saying they haven't heard of Julie 's type of feminism (advocating for the most vulnerable women) I hear that old song playing in my head: "The revolution will not be televised."
This was an amazing interview. I think Michael is a sort of good representative of where a lot of us men had been and what we were thinking. Feminism needs to remain a core principle, it can't diverge into the silliness and pettiness that it had devolved into over the last decade or so.
The trouble with employment discrimination law applying to trans is that allows them to work with kids and the care industry and this is a problem. It should not be a protected characteristic.

😂 Paid simp?
@@HallOween-sx5jt - I am not paid by anyone for my opinions, but you wouldn't understand that as unlike me you do not make comments under your real name.
I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING! YOU'RE SCOTTISH ACCENTS ARE CONFUSING ME ABOUT THIS SCOTTISH ISSUE!
IN SCOTLAND!
Well said, Julie - couldn't agree more!
Wonderful, just a wonderful ppdcast
Merci beaucoup.
Michael Foran, at 29, has a very impressive intellect.
Bless Prof. Tomkins of Glasgow University!
THANK YOU MICHAEL.
Fabulous interview with a really smart man!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 100% 👏👏👏👏👏 YES!!! Thank you a strong man to stand up for others..... Thank you! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you for having this conversation. It restores my faith (hope/drive/confidence) in my own conversations
I have a lot of respect for the British "feminists" as Julie is...because they are the ones standing up against the transmovement, but I think we should accept the biological male and female roles, and develop some sort of balance between traditional roles and the modern way, but let women be women en just women!
Women pushing back is how this ends. As well as homosexuals refusing to be used as human shield for the trans jihadis
I'll believe that women truly want equality when women support changing the divorce and child custody laws so that men enter court on equal footing. Moreover, equality demands that paternity testing should be a requirement before the awarding of child support.
That was great. USA catch up!
What a fine fine fine discussion
Loved this. What a terrific conversation. ❤
Two people with a lot of intelligence and integrity. Thank you for your work, both.
Female = human not possessing Y sex chromosome.
Woman = human female adult.
Girl = human female sub-adult.
31:10 - We live among many shouting cowards. People who use "safety" as a trump card know they have no valid arguments.
Māori women are indigenous to New Zealand not Australia
He’s great!
Where are the younger female journalists who do this? Make room for them, Spectator.
Never see his chap before but i liked him. Bloody adore JB
I cannot like this enough.
I adore this man. What a great mind and ally to women.
He is a woman. Bigot! 😂
Brilliant conversation, thank you!
Great interview ❤
Most of the SNP, all of the Scottish Green &Libdem, most of Scottish Labour and 3 Tory MSPs voted for the Bill.
A 2/3 majority.
Interview Ian Blackford or get them to debate.
First time watching and found it great. Clear honest conversation on a subject that has interested me from the age of 20 (now 62) and which I have tried to implement with female friends i.e. we are the same when we work together in all aspects of life to mutual acceptable conclusions (probably not the right 2 words but best I can think of for now). Thank you.
Excellent 😊
God, I love how fundamentally unserious conservative Brits are 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Good on you mate
Go Julie!!!!!
Interesting listen
Very enjoyable and enlightening. Thank you. Much appreciated.
Love Julie!! ❤
Men's spaces are always sacred. Women's spaces are always challenged.
I’m sure you’ve got an important point. But… what men’s spaces? They are all disallowed (in the ‘west’)
Great piece
at 25 minute mark: great definition of being a "principled" person!
Superb 👍
Thanks!
Brilliant article never thought I’d agreed with all this
That was a great listen. Thanks
That was really interesting.
It wouldn't be Bindel if she didn't slip some contempt for men into her intro. Good on her for doing this though.
Always looking for new ways to divide us.
Wonderful interview.
You can see, in Michaels eyes, the depth with which he has delved on this subject. A clever guy. Also, Julie is equally as engaging on this subject. Very much worth watching.
I love these interviews. Must NOT watch any more today!
Well done Julie
Great interview and outlook. Feel more informed.
Whenever I hear a young person saying they haven't heard of Julie 's type of feminism (advocating for the most vulnerable women) I hear that old song playing in my head:
"The revolution will not be televised."
Yes, the basement not exclusively the glass ceiling!
This was an amazing interview. I think Michael is a sort of good representative of where a lot of us men had been and what we were thinking. Feminism needs to remain a core principle, it can't diverge into the silliness and pettiness that it had devolved into over the last decade or so.
Love Julie. Glad to be introduced to Michael through this interview 🇮🇪
Yes. In final, I gave you a like and I shared your video. Half-Way.
So a bit like Sir Beer Starmers efforts towards helping young girls regarding grooming gangs...
Also, unlike Kathleen Michael isn’t a woman. Grateful for this conversation.
Fantastic interview and podcast
The trouble with employment discrimination law applying to trans is that allows them to work with kids and the care industry and this is a problem. It should not be a protected characteristic.
