Riley Gaines makes a good point in her book. If being pro women is inherently "transphobic", then being pro trans is inherently misogynistic, anti-women. This case illustrates it perfectly.

He wanted power over vulnerable women. There are no two ways about it, he saw the vacancy, he decided to “be” a woman and he got the job because everyone was too scared to say no. Vulnerable women were put in further harms way because a man wanted to see them squirm

Not being able to sleep I ended up reading a lot of the judgement. It’s quite interesting if disturbing. Reading the chain of emails it was just so ridiculous. The woman identifying as non binary sounds like she shouldn’t be a counsellor and should be seeking help for her own issues.
There are so many women who’ve been hurt by this stupid ideology at this centre. One example in the judgement was a 60 year old woman who came for help after being raped when she was in her 20s. It must have affected her for such a long time to finally reach out for help. They turned her away and never referred her to Beira’s Place.

It’s horrifying. What next? Teachers not having to have DBS clearing because we ‘must be kind’. Safeguarding is paramount.

They’re not gender critical beliefs; it’s a fact that women are female, men are male, and there are only women and men. Any alternative claims are the beliefs. The way the language has been twisted every step of the way must be thoroughly challenged. Don’t play their game - use accurate language.

I find that when I talk to people about single sex spaces, men in women's prisons etc. it does not affect them personally in their daily lives, so they have not processed what they think about this. They just follow what along with what they have been told in main stream media and it is easier to be "kind and inclusive" . They do not realize they are eroding women's rights.

I’m deeply disturbed by anyone who, knowing the disproportionate rate at which women throughout history have been assaulted, raped and murdered by men, still does not believe women should have the fundamental right to same sex, men-free spaces.
It comes down to the single question of whether you believe women should have the right to their own space. If, knowing all of the above, they don’t, that is an opinion which does not belong in civilised discussion.
If they do acknowledge that women should be afforded this right, then that excludes biological men BY DEFINITION.
    How did we get here?

  • @Hilooknofurther

The court is Scotland seems to have a lot of more common sense than the courts here in Queensland, Australia.
Where a trans women sued a biological women for not being allowed on a women’s only app. The biological male took the biological female to court over this - and the court sided with the trans women and told the biological women it’s transphobic not letting man on a female only app.
At least in this case the judge ruled with common sense.
