It’s because people that know how to trip enjoy their time, whilst people that eat mushrooms because they think it’s what cool people do end up having a panic attack and running because their non-existent parents showed up at a house that they didn’t know where it was at 3am so they both take off in a full sprint through down town mountholly NC and aren’t seen for the entirety of the trip.
(Actual occurrence) I’m the one that grew the shroomies and knew how to handle it, along with 5 of my close friends, whilst 2 of our school friends did it to fit in after they SWORE they’ve done it before.. they hadn’t and fliiiiiipped out because they thought they heard someone knock on the door.. that someone was apparently both of their sets of parents (impossibility)
4 people that didn’t know each other at a house that they didn’t know existed at 3am. So we kind of forgot about them 1,000 times that night.. every hour or so someone, including myself, would be like “I wonder what happened to them” and we’d make up potential situations they got themselves in and die laughing.. then back to forgetting about them 🥱🥲

I think when youre just wicked high on something you start to feel like you lost control of your body, which could lead to peeing and pooping yourself

First time I tripped on mushrooms I was in my sister's room and I thought everything was wet. Like my clothes were drenched, and her bed and everything was just wet as could be. I couldn't stop laughing.
These two stories are the exact difference between doing shrooms in a good headspace and doing them in a bad headspace. All of my experiences have been like Ari's

idk man im pretty sure i remember most of my trips pretty vividly. I'd say almost or at least a memory as when sober. I wonder what the science behind how it affects the memory is because it definitely didn't seem to affect memory as much as alcohol does.

Not so true, my first trip on 7gs, my friend and I got pulled over for smoking weed on a bridge connecting two cities in Florida and was stuck for 4 hours with the cops transitioning between what seemed mother nature calling me from the ocean, the pelicans exerting cosmic energy with each wing flap, and myself melting into the concrete wall facing the ocean that I was sitting on and talking to the cops at the same time. I Remember every single detail, from the snake faces staring at me when I closed my eyes to the cops faces stretching out, fun times lol.

something amazing about mushrooms is i have a rare condition that causes great pain in my feet and when i take them i literally feel NO pain for about 5-6 hours and it is the most beautiful thing ever
I would say a big takeaway from this story is if you're gonna do psychedelics. DO THEM WITH SOMEONE WHO IS EXPERIENCED. You're very emotionally vulnerable and it can be very overwhelming in a lot of circumstances. It's much better if you have someone who's relaxed to calm you down and give you good vibes while tripping.

You know what's a real trip, going to a funeral and being so overwhelmed with sadness that you let your degenerate cousin who spent a year in a mental asylum convince you to go for a ride and smoke two blunts and then go with him to pick up an eight ball. Everyone's back at the funeral home mourning the loss of an uncle and my cousin and I are sitting in a Chick Fil' A parking lot doing lines. When we got back to the wake 3 hours later after snorting all the blow my parents had already left and told my aunt to tell me to come home whenever, they understood that I was very close with this uncle and that I may need some extended time to mourn. In my drug induced state I took that as a sign to go back out now with three other cousins and take some acid. Beforehand I called my mom and told them some of the cousins and I were going to go out and get some food and hang out for awhile. By the time 11pm rolled around we had all forgotten that there was a funeral the next day as we were very high and driving around listening to Twisted Insane's Trigga Tonguez. When the funeral came the next day after it was allover and we headed to the mercy meal at my aunt's house the same degenerate cousin and I were smoking another blunt and we had a real moment with one another in which he told me that he needed to clean up his act and strive for a drug free life as he was heavily into coke, heroin, meth, among other things. I was also in a low moment in my life working full time and not really sure what I wanted to do In my life, as I couldn't see myself working a dead end job the rest of my life. That was 3 years ago and since then he has been sober 2 years and is working on becoming a drug counselor in addition to working as an electrician as is doing really well for himself and I have been in college pursuing a degree in criminal justice.

Man, that's like a classic repertoire. I think that, save for the almost getting stabbed part, everyone who ever did shrooms shared your experience.
I think you're right because that exactly what the other two guys I was with did too. We all sat on a bench in a park asking eachother what time it was for a good 90 minutes. On the other hand, me and my friend had a tandem hallucination. That or there was actually an alien in that park that night. Either way, Salvia was far more enjoyable than mushrooms.
***** I dunno, man. Sounds like you went a little too high on the concentration. It's been forever since I've done saliva, but I always stuck below 60x. It was always total insanity...all encompassing hallucinations, I remember one instance in which the world folded over on my like a closing book. Always intense, but never horrifying, or bad in any way really. I would just laugh hysterically every time I did it too. And it never lasted long. Aside from the intense sweating and confusion when coming out of it, salvia was always good to me. Mushrooms were fun too, but thinking you're going to forget how to breathe wasn't. Baseline is, i just don't do hallucinogens anymore, but when and if I do, the key is moderation.
Wow, that's bad news bears. I was minimally stressed from my hallucination. I was in a world of white when the book closed. Which was terrifying, but the catch to that was there was a red house being painted white in the distance, and all I had to do what not let whomever was painting finish the job or everything would vanish forever. I don't remember much beyond that, but I have video of me doing it on several occasion where I was literally cracking up the entire time (on the outside) so all in all, the experiences I've had were great, the key is to just be careful.

I once tripped on acid, and for the first two hours I laughed so hard nonstop over literally nothing. I thought I was gonna die laughing, my stomach muscles were on fire and I could hardly sneak in breaths. One of the best times I’ve ever had.
try taking a hit of nitros at the peak than even things that dont logicly seem hilrious totally are
One time on acid I was offered some frozen grapes, and upon tasting one it was so good I began to laugh the hardest I ever had, and continued to do so for a full hour. By the time I reached for a second grape, it had become room temperature, and I became very sad.
I loved hearing some universal "trip things", like the wet feeling of psychedelics or that random hysterical laughter that signifies the beginning of the onset of the drugs, especially mushrooms.

I just couldn't see pulling that off on mushrooms. Everytime I took mushrooms I just wanted to lay in the sun and have someone carry me home lol.

One thing that truly doesn't mix with any psychedelic drugs is doing them right after breaking up with a girl/boyfriend. Brings that relationship bong water right to the surface. Also really helpful to bring along someone who's not tripping for positive redirection and grounding in reality. Watching TV/movie with good friends or listening to tunes at home with a well stocked refrigerator & snacks (that don't require cooking..) best way to go. Remember you can do some do some really stupid sh*t tripping.

Felt like dying after 3 hours. then i closed my eyes went to this place that feels like love. (its not just love its this feeling of completeness ..but not exactly its hard to explain). So that was a spiritual like experience. Then the my roommate came home while on call with someone probably because i have heard her say "oh my god" before. So i was in this beautiful and amazing place and suddenly i hear "oh my god". I look out the window everythings burning. And im in australia. fuck right? i thought shit this cant be real and took another look out the window and everything was fine. took few breathes and calmed myself. I have never felt that kind of an amazing feeling and fear
and i dont think i ever will. And im feeling happier than i was before. (there was more to the trip i cant say all of that it would take many words)

Not necessarily, you're taking one anecdotal experience and extrapolating it to say he would be like this every time he trips? That's not how it works. This was one trip that he went into in a bad state of mind because of his relationship and career, if he was in the right set and setting like you should be when tripping then he would have been fine.

First time on shrooms I laid on the ground but thought I was standing and walking. I started looking for the door and the doorknob (in the carpet) and eventually “found” the door. My friends told me I was on the floor so immediately I started feeling like I was falling through the floor through this magically door. I ended being on the floor for a few hours flying and swimming through different dimensions and time through my carpet door lol

Two things I learned from this. There is a comedian named Pete Carboni and the most comedic thing about him is having Ari as a friend.
duuuuude i know exactly what he's talking about, i have had the same thoughts my friends are having on shrooms so many times. like simultaneously the same thought or feeling will pop in our head and we'll react in exactly the same way. it's so weird. ESP seems totally impossible, so it must be our brains are reacting to the stimulus the same way. or when listening to music on psychedelics with a friend, and you react exactly the same way to different parts of the music and just start smiling at each other for no reason. man, so weird
Yeah, mushrooms can produce feelings of extrasensory communication. I think it's because it enhances perception of body language. Like, when I was on shrooms once, we were in a park at night, and I saw these 2 dark figures walking toward us. I couldn't make out any details about them, but I just knew they were cops. I don't know how I knew that, but I did. When they got closer, sure enough, they were 2 cops. After they left, all my friends said the same thing, we all knew they were cops before they were close enough to see. What happens is you are picking up on tiny clues of body language, and somehow because of the state you are in you become hyper attuned to it. You kind of can read minds on mushrooms.

Mine happened. I was lucky I had some good friends with me. The late 90's were a rough time for me. When you are that high all you are is Id doing random stuff. You have no recollection of it, other than some pleasant effects at the very end. People who have been there know. It's pointless if you can't remember.

I felt the same way until I looked at the act as a whole and found the humor in the irony: With comedians, it is their good times and their tragedies that not only create them but also their content. It pains me when someone has had such low self esteem and they go back to bad relationships but I took my judgment away and was just able to experience their stories and enjoy. I hope he was able to develop past shitty people.

Watched V for Vendetta on mushrooms with my buddies. Buddy tripped out and tried to run out the house when the cops pulled up in the movie. Had to reassure him he was just trippin out.

I feel Pete tho. I had a 2.5 gram trip that sent me into a dark place and I was screaming at my friend for help as reality was slipping away... very powerful mushrooms. After a 2 hour panic attack tho, it turned into an awesome trip
