Looking forward to seeing her, along with that pete daycab! Gonna really miss you guys, with no green beans this year, tho! Still truckin for those folks, 48 years this year! You are a great guy, brother!
Welcome to Texas! 🖐🤠 I also have a W900 Glyder. 1979 big cam 400, 5&4 trans/power tower, 80 ton Tulsa winch on custom fab skirted winch tractor bed with rolling tail board. Matched to a 50 ton tri-axel folding neck lowboy. It is a hoss, rarely use it. Needs a major pneumatic overhaul.....maybe I'll find the time this summer. Farm truck. Your's is much nicer! 👌 Safe travels! I also have a Volvo that came out of logging. It has both axel locks and inter axel lock also.
Been watching for awhile as you may known but I have to say you have one of the best intros! Btw the reason for watching, as you can see by my handle, I'm looking for a HDT to pull a 40' 5th wheel and doing some homework before I get fd buying a truck and doing the conversion to a 5th wheel hauler. Sleeper? or not? quads or singles? long or short wb? You bring up many points like frame, rust and so on. So thank you for all the info and insights to buying used.
Full lockers is the only way to go trucking up north. Middle switch is interaxle lock/power divider, locks the front and rear axles together but still only leaves you with both open differentials. The other two switches are axle cross lock/full lock. I've found a lot of people don't really understand what's happening inside the power divider and what the interaxle lock actually does
Everybody who's a OOP out there be paying attention to the banks! Somethings going down out on the gold coast, cali, thats causing a radical shift in stocks! Stay aware out there drivers, we all knew sooner or later some kind of crash was in our futures.
I think the axle locks are like the 1980 pete i had with a different shift pattern 15 speed with a regular diff lock switch, and another marked deep reduction. Couldn't shift out of low range, full locking rears. Hauled a tanker through freshly plowed fields to pivot sprinklers. Great for digging.
I'm really surprised that four way locks are a surprise to you. On the other side of the Atlantic that would be standard with 6x4, the thinking being that if you need double drive you need everything locking, if you can manage without them a 6x2 with diff lock and dump on the trailing axle will do your job.
Definitely can’t go wrong with a Glider!!! Look at all the time it will be on the road working and not sitting in the shop with emissions problems!!!! Great choice!!👍👍😎😎
@@flintcreektransport im no salesman or what not but im trying to help a freind find another decent pete daycab for under 60k only found an ex transfer chassis out in cali so far

Our freightliner has that lock on it, 3 buttons, front, rear, middle, I always that that was a full locking rear and only the 2 axles was a 3/4 lock ?
Yea that’s one way of looking at it
Looks nice, the interaxle locker will be handy in muddy fields. Stay safe and healthy Justin.

Hello there, OREO Cookie.
😜
Between the lockers and stake pockets, I would say ex logging truck. It might have seen a hard life, but lets hope not.
I don't know, but I like the Black & White.
Kinda old school. 587,000 though?
Flat bed, or lowboy work?
Fingers crossed she's a good one.
587 the motor just now getting broke in
That’s low miles for a semi
