Might be in D&D, but I can tell you Healers are MUCH appretiated elsewhere. You won't get far in Rolemaster without one around... 😅

This is even funnier knowing the soul has to be willing to be able to be revived, so he wanted to revive, and did, just to complain about his hypothetical non consent which is necessary for the spell to work

Revivify actually doesn't need that! So it wasn't by choice.

I have this worry that she might end up needing some sort of therapy, to be honest. All of her interactions with surface folk seem to have done some sort of *emotional damage* that I can't really blame her for. Just really bad luck.

No regret or hesitation: SoylentCosplay is as pretty as can be, an expert in her art & her Cleric RP is both spot on & an adorible (yet potentially terrifying) green gem.
Props to Soylent for her ability to scream like that, it's not as easy to do as a lot of people seem to think it is, particularly on command like that.

I seen nurses put up with similar crap, but the Cleric was wrong. I am pissed off because it trivialize basic medical ethics. Worse they make fun of a group who was basically right.
You don't go against a persons religious belief, even to save their life. Japan spent a large sum inventing fake blood, because there is a group that can't accept blood transfusion. It's no known, we shouldn't give the Covid vaccine for children, and it's banned in Northern Europe and some US state. AS a biochemist, I will state, the vaccine is not made to stop the virus, and either the people who made it, were idiots, or they purposefully gave us a vaccine that can never stop the virus so they can sell boosters every year. They made it with only 4 antigens which means the virus will mutate before it can be stopped.

Oh, and as I think about it... so was their *death*. It's amazing how fast he started talking once the Barbarian pulled out some fun pointy implements. XD

@@Zaftique Life clerics unite. Mine was effectively creating an inquisition to hunt down a coven of hags that had been preying on the people of my god's temple. Went to the temple, saw a dead farmer and his wife...burned down a hag's house and brought her head back to the temple as proof of my deeds.

Yes, will does negate heal spells, it's listed in the spell description. Remember, resisting a heal spell is a matter of existence or destruction for an undead!

I realize this is a sensitive topic and I was bracing myself for any drama, being that it hits kinda to home. But, the sheer absurdity of the situation mirrors real life and it forced a smile on me. Glad to be early for a fresh and well played Deerstalker video!
Damn, I just made a "flashbacks to retail" comment, then scrolled down to see I was far from alone. This felt so VERY cleansing for me, as during my time I always had to just bite back my feelings to keep my (terrible, low-wage, verbally abusive) job.

Every healer in every game have it inside them.
"How dare you resurrect me! I did not consent to this!" is extra Karen-y cause every method of resurrection requires the soul to be willing

@@shadowlord1418revivify has no such clause, and doesn't bring one back, more so prevents the soul from leaving as per its description. Effectively you anchor their soul to the body as the original tether breaks, rebinding body and soul before any damage is done(effectively they never actually die). So, no, you are wrong. Revivify does work like that and no, they aren't brought back from the dead.
@@sinisterthoughts2896doesn't in the spell description. But it does state that every form of resurrection requires a willing soul in the DMG. Shadowlord is correct
I only know this because I had to do a deep dive after the ranger got revivify and killed a prisoner they needed alive for lolz just to revivify him. The clause in each spell except revivify that states that a soul has to be willing is redundant.
It does specifically state that the target must be dead though, so I don't see where you are on about revivify "not actually being resurrection". And it's a new spell in 5e, didn't exist in older editions, so that wouldn't be based in lore unless that lore was specific to your world
@@ADT1995 Actually, Revivify was a Conjuration spell in 3rd edition. Also, there has been at least one errata where certain details have been changed and updated for 5e. Revivify has remained the same, so the conclusion would generally be that it behaves more as a "resuscitation" and not revival, more akin to getting a defibrillator or something.
Vlithyn was WAY nicer than my various healers would be.
My grave cleric would have just ripped the spear out and cast spare the dying since that would be good enough.
My lore bard would have just let him bleed out, and probably insulted him to death for good measure.
My spirits bard would have actually done all the healing, after popping out necrotic shroud and form of dread to scare him into silence so she could actually focus.

But I have created 12 different Lvl 1 Characters in case I found a group.
2 of my characters are Clerics, yet they aren't the healer type.
1 is a Death Domain Cleric sworn to the Raven Queen.
The other is a Forge Domain Cleric sworn to Tharmekhul.
However interestingly my Undying Warlock whose Patron is Larloch would use "Spare the Dying" Cantrip at least, BUT mainly because it grants her extra Temporary HP everytime she "cheats death/helps someone else cheat death".
Little did Vlithryn know that the Trickster god was the one whispering in her ear "the surface world is where you should be"
Why do I love her as much as Eva, Antrius, and Nixie? She's so adorable, especially with her justified rage outbursts.
Always happy to see more Vlithryn. She's probably my favorite alt party member.
My two fav people from this series: Kendall is just the classic NPC that can troll you by saying "I am your father" and yep, he would be. And Soylent... Despite being an amazing artist, big thank you for bringin back the screma of desperation. I love them sooooo much ♥
She should have granted him his wish and put the harpoon back where she found it.
Remember, this NPC was made and roleplayed by the DM.

In the meantime my bard/warlock was just waiting in the wings ready to help next to my artificer/rogue with plenty of healing kits but I guess you didn't want their help, right? hahaha

@@kuroinokitsune haven't played mine yet but the idea is using the thief's quick hands on healing kits once they're down and using the artillerist's temporary hitpoint cannon to stop them going down. Healing knife sounds cool.
Vlithryn don't worry. Majority of us disagree with the Dwarf and would gladly hand you blunt instruments and spell components so you can continue to beat him to death and then Ressurect him

Vlithryn is great. And she's a great actor but I get the feeling what we're seeing is a glimpse of her real life experience somehow. lol. Plus, she's got a great scream! (for real!) She should get a job in a scary movie. :D

If you are a nurse, you should realize she is wrong. The number one rule of performing a medical procedure, is informed consent. I am personally pissed, because it trivialize this and how US became fascist, by forcing a medical procedure, that now is considered ill advised to give to a large portion of our population, Even NOW!!
