Also i wouldnt say this be a spoiler since im just correcting an assumption its actually not good for Lester that he got shot because with forensics the cops will know that Lester got shot after his wife died which doesnt go with his story because how would he get knocked out down stairs then get shot upstairs

Top tier entertainment. Multiple character development all woven together in a real-life way. Billy Bob has an enormous screen presence, given good writing. The Cohen brothers are supportive of this directly referenced project. The slightly odd (for conventional movie/tv) dialogue has an effect that causes many , like me, to wish ALL writing was modeled after it. The Cohens' have such a unique view of storytelling, they are well worth seeking out. Not always a homerun, ALWAYS interesting...and appreciate the POV...never stale. "No Country For Old Men"-Oscar winner best picture.. For an EXCELLENT series featuring Billy Bob, try "Goliath"... also " A Simple Plan" movie. Has a swerve much like Cohen material. "True Detective", while having engaging actors, Is a second rate imitation of this level of work....appears 'deep' but all hat, no cattle. Writing is 'a swing and a miss'.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but “Fargo” Season 1 was hard to watch at certain stages. It was a fantastic show, but Billy Bob Thornton’s character is almost too evil. Leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth sometimes. Maybe that’s the point, though lol.
Perhaps, but you forget that it’s from his POV and to compare it uses a literary perspective where he is an unreliable narrator. Like how he is basically blaming everyone else for his life. He’s always the “victim” and never responsible for anything.
34:51 Duluth is an interesting city. From the 40s' to the mid 70's in was a booming because of all the taconite (low grade steel ore) that shipped from the Duluth Port. Duluth though it is located in Northern Minnesota and does get snow. Lake Superior keep the climate milder.
The series is amazing even season 3 and 4 weren’t my favorite they are still better than 95% of what’s out there, season 5 is fantastic as well. Noah Hawley the creator also made the best Marvel content in a series called “LEGION” and now that season 5 of Fargo is aired he’s working on his “alien” anthology based on the alien movies. He’s the best writer/director out there. I look forward to seeing your reaction on a least the rest of season 1(don’t miss out on season 2 because it’s very epic) LEGION is a show like no other Cheers

glad you guys are finally on this. ik everyone loves breaking bad, bcs, sopranos and the like (and rightfully so) but this has been my favorite show since it came out and i feel like it has somewhat flown under the radar for most people

The only thing I don't like about this show is the "This is a true story" BS at the start of each episode. I get why they did it for the film, but it loses any meaning once you know it's not true. It detracts (slightly) from the overall tone of the series imo.

Duluth is a metro area with Superior just across the river in Wisconsin. The metro area is probably close to 100,000 population.
The show is like a remix of the movie. Similar beats and images and even scenes but used in different ways and different characters
