Sure is looking good Ben. That thing is gonna be a work horse. Deere are always tricky to learn how to get a bit of a double function. Most of them can do just enough of it to be tolerable, but for me it takes a minute to get good at it. I know on my TYM I've got a true third function and a nice grapple, and one thing that can be irritating is not being able to curl while opening or closing the mouth. Sure would improve how fast you can transition from raking brush to rolling into grabbing it. Not sure you'll ever run a grapple, but that's something I never really thought about until I got the new tractor and ran into it. Thanks!
@@jeremyj612 yeah as for a 3rd function I just my rear remotes. Probably a more crude method then a third function but my old hoses fit from the Kubota so I opted for the cheapest method. Thanks for watching
That looks good with that loader, it fits like the old 553 loader used to fit those style tractors. I’m glad to see Deere is finally doing their own skid steer buckets. When I sold them, we had to put source the skid steer buckets for the tractors.
Right, my salesman first thought he’d have to order a bucket from an outside source. But we were glad to find out it came with a bucket now. Thanks for watching
@ we used to use Blue Diamond attachment for ours. They’re based in Knoxville, and they were real close to our dealership, and they built a ton of skid steer attachments, but everything was black, if I’ve got a green tractor, I’d like to have my bucket green too 😂
Yeah me too. I don’t think it will be as smooth to operate as the Kubota, but I can tell already it’s planted better in the backend. Thanks for watching
@@khtractors It's heavier on paper and I think I like the stance as much as my Massey. I know the Massey is a little lower than some, but haven't had issues with ground clearance. I like the low weight on hillsides.
I have the 500m loader on a 5050e and I’m very happy with it so far. I’m coming from Kubota also and starting out with the Deere the curl and lift together was not as good. With use though it seems to be doing both at the same time much easier. Probably partly just getting use to it but I also believe it just needs broke in some. Higher rpm’s definitely helps on the 2 function also. I really enjoy your videos and appreciate you!
@khtractors i don't know about that. But I can point a hay spear damn near straight up. It dosen't dump as far though. The bucket only dumps to 90* it won't curl all the way under and almost touch the front tires like a regular loaders
Enjoyed the video! I really like the new tractor, that loader makes it! I’ve had the same kinda issue with my 911x loader on the Massey, it only wants to do one function at a time and if you can get it to do 2 it’s just very slow. My Kubota l series I had I could lift or lower and curl the bucket. Being able to do two functions at once does make for more efficient work, but regardless that’s a nice tractor man! I really hope it has as good or better service than the Kubota.
Young man glad you got the loader on that looks really nice n heavy duty. I've told people that if that loader sticks out there another 2 or 2 n half feet it's not as stable but the look at me like I'm stupid. But i figured it out hard way got a 2515 Branson way i use my tractor it was dangerous even with loaded tires. I have a kioti 3520se shuttle shift tractor now don't have to worry about it lot more stable and can lift more without havin to have so much ballast because of extra loader length. Can't wait to see you Deere do some work. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy new Tractor
The 500m is close to the 553 witch was a great loader and was a super strong loader. I think you will be really pleased with the way it works and handles the load

If I had your talents, I'd weld up a little blocker plate for those hoses. I wouldn't be comfortable with that. Smart waiting to get the skid steer mount, opens your options way up!
I have the same heavy duty bucket on my John Deere - though yours may be heavier still on the quick connection. It’s actually a good bucket. The mounting holes for the tooth bar (on the sides) must be fit JD specific one, I have to drill out holes for the removable one I have because they don’t line up. I wish you well with your loader and look forward to you becoming as skilled an operator on it as you were on your 6060. Give my best to Benny and Merry Christmas to you all.

That looks awesome! I will say, one thing I hate about Deere is how they run their loader lines. The hoses easily get snagged and the metal lines near the bucket are bound to get bent. It’s almost guaranteed.
It’s looking good, the skid steer style bucket has some nice chain hooks it would take a great deal to break them off or even bend them from what I could gather from the video. I been looking at the 5 thousand series but just haven’t come to terms with myself yet about trading. The JD dealers in my area are very well stocked up on equipment but just haven’t talked to sales people yet to see how well there ready to deal. I’m really looking forward to hay season to see how well the 5065 works out for you. My guess you’ll have a good match with the Massey baler and the new tractor.
Looks good ben, And as far as being able to dual function the loader, that is one, or at least to used to be one of Kubota's " claim to fame so to say". They are designed to let you do the dual function where other manufacturers are not, so it may just be the way that loader is. but it will work fine for you and don't look much different than a kubota loader. Bet it may even be made by the same company now days.
