  • This is the first video in a new series where we perform "real world" home shop/garage tests on Harbor Freight Tools. In this video we look at the Hercules 20v Brushless Cordless 1/2" Ultra-Torque Impact Wrench and compare to a comparable air powered impact wrench. We also get to use the new Fortress air compressor for the first time (link below for that video).

    That Hercules tool is a beast.

    I own the High Torque with 8a battery. It has been plenty strong for my needs as a professional technician. I would think the Ultra Torque would be very beneficial for a Diesel tech or someone who lives where cars get tons of rust (not where I live). The High Torque being slightly shorter and lighter than the Ultra was a factor in purchase

    Those lugnuts are childsplay for that impact. And yes,the Hercules ultra torque is definitely stronger that the milwaukee and the dewalt.
    I have the 12 amp hour on the impact. Goes from ultra torque to ULTRA BEAST !

    Agree 1000% on those torque stick things. As a 50 years multi certified industrial, diesel, aircraft mechanic, I still hand tighten then use a real torque wrench on my vehicles tires. I also insist that the tire shop not to use ANY impact wrenches to even take off my lug nuts on my Alcoa 16x7 Van rims. I like the idea of using the torque sticks at an amount less than specified, good idea.

    Good conversational flow here and very informative. May I ask what video editing software you're using?

    By the time you buy battery and charger for the Hercules you are probably paying comparable price, My biggest reason to chose the hercules is the warranty and even though it looks same Harbor Freight has one of the best warranties on stuff you will find take it to the store and replace.

      You’re not going to buy a battery and charger every time you buy a tool

    Good Job I like the hood down to earth patient delivery. Don’t listen to these AHoles who say it’s too slow they’re just mad they have ADHD and a short attention span. I felt like I was sitting in the shop with you! Right on

      Thanks for the comment and the encouragement, it really means a lot. I’m all good here, I’ll keep on doing the thing the way I want and makes me happy. For now it’s all for fun anyway.

      I like the relaxed delivery too. I'm 64 and need time to translate what you're saying. I do everything slowly.. and I mean everything. 😁👍🇬🇧

    I got the Hercules and was wondering do you need a torq stick if you use the outo mode does it torque to the 150 torque that tires required. I saw that you used the stick but fid you need to ?

    • @goodjerm
      @goodjerm  4 месяца назад +1

      I only use the sticks to limit the torque to keep from over torquing the lugs. I really don’t know how tight it gets on auto mode, so the sticks are just extra peace of mind for me (I over think things, this just brings me some peace of mind).

    Electric is the future. Same as cars go.. I’m not gonna wait to save $20. Like driving up the street to save $.10 off a gallon of gas. You’ve only actually saved two dollars to fill up the whole tank. If you want to go get it
