I have a similar Dewalt stubby 1/2 inch rated for 500 breakaway lbs. that struggles with lug nuts. Bought the 3/8 Hercules and it rips lugs right off. I’m sold on Hercules.
Same, I have the quarter inch and the angle grinder. Both of them are overpowered animals. 5 year warranty. The best part is I paid a total of $250 for an impact, angle grinder, two 5ah, one 2.5ah and a 2ah with a fast charger.
I have this impact plus more of the Hercules brushless line. Now I was using my buddies $450.00 snapon 3/8 impact before I bought the Hercules. The hercules is actually 10 foot pounds stronger than the snapon unit. I build LS motors and take them apart as well and on occasion there would be rod bolts the snapon could not break loose. Since buying the Hercules 3/8 impact there has not been a single rod bolt the Hercules wouldn't loosen. A 60 dollar impact beats one that is 450 bucks and the Hercules has a 5 year warranty where snapon is only 2 years. Hercules is the best choice. I do have much bigger batteries which does make a huge difference in power output and battery life.
These are some really great comments. Other than some bolts on car frames and lug nuts (used this on some frame bolts on my “Jeep” video) this is really my go to impact for pretty much everything else and all over the quads. I do have some larger batteries as well, but on the impact and my uses I haven’t really needed to use them on it. Thanks again for the comments and for watching!
Same here just did my old man’s 84 transam and I was surprised not a single bolt on that old 305 was hard to remove. Plus it’s a flooded car. So even more impressive.
Stopped by today and picked up this lil thing. Charger, battery and the tool all for $119. Using it just for small car things since I just got my first car. Excited to try it soon !
I have the same 3/8 inch impact wrench you’re talking about and it’s true fastening torque tightening torque is around 225 to 30 pound breakaway I don’t think it’s 500 I think it’s more like about the same as your kobalt.
Loved the review. I'm going cordless. Stopped at HF tonight. Tool is under $60, but the battery and a single charger are like, $75 each, so a wee bit over $200. ......I'm betting Milwaukee is 2.5 or 3x more?
I was thinking.... If I got this 3/8 hercules, I would have to stencil with white paint, ULTRA or KILLER or something like that on the side. Because - 3/8 hercules - add white stencil on side - ULTRA or KILLER
Generally I agree. Just showing a good option for the dude that maybe doesn’t have an air compressor or needs to be more mobile. I will always love my air tools.

Nice! Enjoy your first car!
the blue batteries are the og ones they have been phasing them out! lol
I like the blue one, maybe I should tuck it away and after a few years it will be worth enough to retire on lol 😂
You had my like and subscription 2:30 minutes in. You had me cracking up 😂
Before I even watch it you should be aware I’m not giving up my Dewalt 😏
Thanks a ton for the like and sub, it really means a lot!
The quarter inch impact from Herc will take those lugs off that atv without a struggle.

Thanks for the comment! Closest Milwaukee I could find was ~$200 for the tool only, no battery or charger. Glad you liked the video…
They have a $119 deal for the 5amp battery+ charger + this tool right now. Hope you didn't buy it back then 3 weeks ago
@@shawnlister2730 life got in the way, so no, I didn't buy it then. Thank you!

Yo how you get the black one? Looks way better than the one I seen in the store
Most air tools only regulate power in tighten mode (clockwise) only, in loosen (counter clockwise) they deliver max psi.
Not and even test air to a tool is a lot stronger

I might add 1/2 the price of the Dewalt
Yup… I know it’s way cheaper but didn’t really check the big brand prices for them.
