When I started playing again a few years ago, had golf elbow in my left and eventually my right elbow. I was "grounding" the club too much and trying to hit with my arms. After a few cortisone shots and a revamping of my swing, I now am pain free and thanks to your methods, hit it farther with less effort! Thanks for your videos and guidance!
Any golfers elbow is cause by the person hitting with the arms. I have cured countless people with golfers elbow over the years. Once they stop trying to hit it finally goes away. Glad you found me and learned it. No fun playing in pain.

Well, you need to change how you think and know it will work. This is what I did many years ago. I trusted it. 3 practice swings later I got it. I had worked on positions and had a pretty goo looking swing though. Turning the arms off was my last step.
Thanks Paul another great tip. I was at the range yesterday and when I played effortless and loose, I hit fantastic shots. I still have a way to go but every day I think there is a small incremental improvement 😀

Thanks, but too late for me. After many years of golf I now have “golfer’s elbow”. What a pain! I fully acknowledge that my swing includes a strong push as I hit the ball. It seems that I now need to change my swing. It’s always something! Last year it was my putting. Silly sport!
Paul: You bet! That’s what I meant by needing to change my swing. Unfortunately, I am told I need to take a few weeks off to let my elbow heal. I really enjoy your site! I recently sent your recent video about slowing down the swing to a bunch of my buddies. We all agreed it works. The tough part is remember ing each time.
It's never too late... I started following Paul and his instructional videos a year ago and my game has improved... My swing is much more effortless and more accurate.. I'm 67 years old and gone are my aching arms and body after a round of golf.. Start his effortless swing now and you be surprised how quickly your game will change and become more enjoyable... It takes a bit of time and practice but the rewards will soon happen..
I started back playing two years ago, I now have Tennis Elbow, Golfers Elbow and Arthritis in my Right hand. I have taken lesson from several instructor begging them to get me to slow down and swing easy, they either don't think its a big deal or don't know how to get me to swing slower and effortless. You might be my last hope to ever swing like I used to.
Yes, you need to change immediately or you will never get rid of that pain. Just follow this tip then speed it up with legs and hips. Watch: ruclips.net/video/7z5eUcSwlSk/видео.html as well as other tips explaining it.
Yep I use one of those "golfers elbow" things. now that I am starting to swing with the body, my elbow has stopped hurting...my left wrist is still sore but I am hoping taking a few days off practicing that too will start to fade. Any thoughts on why my left wrist might be getting sore (yes I am a right handed golfer). Thanks Paul, LOVE your videos and you technique is really helping me rebuild my swing after a 10 year layoff!
That's great. I have had so many students get rid of those over the years. If anyone has one of those you know for a fact they are hitting with arms. The wrist could be sore because you are actually hinging and rehinging now instead of having them all locked up. You are not used to it. I would keep doing the grip and this drill to get used to it. If it keeps hurting then you may be doing something wrong. I can also feel me pounding the ball. I will try it this weekend. One full bucket. What is that app you have again? I might need it
Yes, you need to start working on this asap. You heard me "arms like butter " with all clubs. That is your goal. You turn them off completely in the down and through swing. You power it with your legs and hips. Master this drill first: ruclips.net/video/cVhtL-d1B9Y/видео.html My app is called CoachLink. Golfers are loving it. Doesn't seem like the best course but if the graphite helps then keep playing there. Must be a half decent track or there are no other courses around for miles.

i was playing stoney point thats a LPGA women course it was only 120 month plus 50 in club house they went up like that too we dont make money here like others do 12 bucks hour is good money here
Great video, Paul, as always. A question regarding this video, specifically pushing off of the trail leg. I was always taught that this would lead to inconsistent shots, and that you should rotate your hips and push off of the ground with your lead leg. Your comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the video.
I teach 8 different triggers. Some are left sided. Some are right sided. You coil and load to the back instep. Once loaded you need to trigger it how you can trigger it. Not everyone feels or thinks the same so I give everyone choices. It is a turn and shift at the same time. If you just shift or just turn that would be inconsistent. That is not what I teach though. @@paulwilsongolf Wow, thanks Paul! I appreciate your quick and informative response. I am going to go to your website to learn more, as this is the most challenging problem I am having with my swing. Thanks again for the prompt response.
Paul, I just purchased your body swing series, and am hoping it articulates your 8 different triggers. I play left-handed, and have been taught to try to initiate the transition by using the muscles of the lead leg. I found your video about the sore arms because I am experiencing golfers' elbow of the trail arm. Hopefully your methodology will help me with that. I think your video about the 2/3 swing is ingenious, if not extremely difficult to execute. Will give it a try. Thanks again.
Thanks for your support. I appreciate it. You can find the triggers in the book. Locking the lead leg is one but that not may be the one for you. Try others and find what gets you to position 1. I love teaching lefties. Something about swinging left handed that just looks better. I like lefties to draw it so do a slightly stronger grip as you loosen the wrists. This will get the spin. Then work body for the path.
@@paulwilsongolf wow, awesome, Paul, thanks! I'm playing tomorrow and will give it a try. Also, my friend and I may pay you a visit between Christmas and New Years if you are available for a lesson.
I haven't worn one since I was 16. Back then I was going through a glove a week and they were $16. I just couldn't afford to wear one. I use tour wrap grips which are great with no glove. I never have an issue. Plus, I don't have one white hand.
You are manually work on hinging and rehinging the club until you can do it. Then you are not thinking about it. Keep in mind powerless arms is in the downswing not the backswing. You need to work on setting the club. Once set, you are not hitting or helping the shot coming down. If you have trained yourself to hold on securely with loose wrists then this arm unit should work just fine. Watch: ruclips.net/video/Z8K3Gctkz7A/видео.html
On the backswing coil do you need to have some sort of engagement with the arm muscles to prevent excessive breakdown of the left arm? I feel if I just let my arms go floppy it affects my shoulder turn so is it a case of just letting your arms go on the downswing? This is a grey area for me I can't get my head around. Cheers Paul. 👍🏻
Do not confuse powerless arms with floppy arms. Powerless arms is you not hitting or helping the shot in the downswing. Of course, you are setting it as you go back. You are coiling and hinging going back. You keep working on this until it goes there on its own. ruclips.net/video/KZAj2Bk8Roc/видео.html
I will a bit of the time go straight left but then I will go dead straight down the middle. I think I am going the same thiing but guess not. I do the lag and move my head keeping back while I come threw.
Hey Paul! How long do ya think ITTl take for someone as a beginner like me to hit a drive around 280 300 mark? I’m definitely hitting it further but I’m still around 230 ish yards on my drives.
Not sure if you can even do it. To hit it that far you need to really fire the lower body with loose wrists. Age? Experience level? Do you have the positions looking pretty good? etc. etc. You need to do this drill every night: ruclips.net/video/lUOLMl_zmek/видео.html
I have been using ur system I purchased about a month now my 7 iron is pure my driver is still a major slice can’t seem to fix it any suggestions. Only issue I feel after hitting is in shoulders. Another thing I can’t quite do to total shoulder replacement is get parallel with driver maybe that the issue idk. Any suggestions will help. No issues in arms. Just shoulders and hips.
Another comment to that my arms use to throb all the time after a game of golf. And proud to say went back to a course I played a month ago and shaved a whole 40 strokes off my game(no there was no eraser I had 3 others keeping score). I was totally blown away. Your program does work. 1 month time and 40 stokes gone. Now I will say this it went from a 165 to a 125. Since I had such a hard time with driver longest club I had was a 4iron. But still impressive.
If you purchased The Body Swing at the back there is a whole section called How To Fix Your Swing. There you will see the 2 drills I need you to do. Watch this section. Take it in 2 steps. Get step 1 then move to Step 2. Watch and practice that then if you have problems let me know.
Paul Wilson Golf I went to range today got there at 730 left it is now 11 used drill 1 hit everything low and instantly to left don’t know what I am doing wrong it’s only with driver and 3 wood. All my irons are crisp from 6-Pw. I guess I need to upload my swing on driver. Keep in mind I cannot get as far back as u want me to with my left shoulder being replaced it will not allow much movement and I stop on coil when I feel in Lats just like u describe in The body swing program. I never hit one Hook I figured I would have hit at least one in that amount of time.
Paul Wilson Golf forgive me for asking so many questions and maybe this is a stupid question but during the rollover drill everything goes left even if it isn’t much more than a foot or 2 off ground? Also when u go to drill 2 do u still roll over when u use body to straighten it out?? I’m sorry if it a dumb question
I get a lot of pain (nerve-like pain) in my left wrist, especially around where the thumb pad meets my wrist (top side). I went to the doctor but he was not a golfer and just told me to rest it. Is that a sign of any error in my grip or swing?
You may not have this hand on in position. Follow my grip tip here and see if you still have this pain. Pretty rare if any of my students have had any type of pain like this. If so, I check their grip and the pain is gone. Here: ruclips.net/video/jQZLp8bF-Ww/видео.html
No one has even complained of this since 1991. I would think you are flat footed on your back foot as you try to swing. This back heel needs to come off the ground 3-4" with irons and 5-6" with driver at impact. Never hit the ball flat footed. Video your swing to see if it comes up.
Paul, I’m having trouble keeping the weight on my back swing on the inner part of my foot. I have practiced the “bounce” and can do that, but when it comes to the actual swing I feel the weight transferring over to the other edge of my back foot. Would you recommend trying a very subtle “bounce” in my actual swing until I get the feeling, or how do you recommend fixing this error?
My thought is I am dropping (or turning) my hips and knees in the back swing too much - causing me to roll over my back foot. I’m very careful and meticulous about the one piece takeaway, but feel my hips and knees may creep around too much in the coil. What are your thoughts?
Let your shoulder coil move you hips back. Then the hips will pull the knees into position. Do this to stabilize the lower: ruclips.net/video/7WI3rpsfTEs/видео.html then crank your shoulders to coil. You will see the lower will be pulled into perfect position.
Paul Wilson Golf wow. I can feel the added power just in the coil. Can’t believe I missed this video on your channel, I’ve purged through it 3-4 times...appreciate all you do! You’re swing method has added an easy 100 yards to my drive (putting them 300+ now) and loft+distance to my irons. Can’t even imagine what this is going to do.
I don't really like is because if you have loose wrists you will hook every shot. Once you are sick of hooking it you will usually lock up then blow it right. Then it becomes army golf. I promote a neutral grip so you can have loose wrists and not have any other compensations in your swing. You need to watch this first: ruclips.net/video/Hh_uALjl_jk/видео.html Read the comments from people who have changed. Then if you are ready you can learn the neutral grip here: ruclips.net/video/jQZLp8bF-Ww/видео.html It is up to you. I prefer not having to practice all the time.
@@paulwilsongolf You should give it a go! I turn 63 years tomorrow, doing a keto diet and feel great! I just play better when i walk (and carry)...it makes the game feel more natural. The walking and thinking is enjoyable. Plus I can do your loose wrists drills as i walk. Jumping in and out of a cart can be distracting. Take care.
You don't look like you use a "one piece" take away It appears you use your arms in your backswing then use your body to unwind with the arms following. I enjoy watching you swing
Never heard that one before. In no way do I take it back with my arms. If anything I am too late in hinging it going back cause my arms are so powerless. Maybe this one will show what I do better: ruclips.net/video/TFjh9dGkZXA/видео.html

Thanks. Yes, you can get too loose. Keep in mind powerless arms is in the downswing not hitting or helping the shot with the arms. You are doing floppy arms which is not what I teach. You need to go back to setting the top. Here is the position: ruclips.net/video/KZAj2Bk8Roc/видео.html Set the top. This means you are feeling your arms as you are working on this and mastering it.
I’m trying to learn your effortless pain free swing. I have somehow twisted/sprained my right knee. I am a rh hitter. What did I do wrong?
No one has even complained of this since 1991. I would think you are flat footed on your back foot as you try to swing. This back heel needs to come off the ground 3-4" with irons and 5-6" with driver at impact. Never hit the ball flat footed. Video your swing to see if it comes up.
Paul Wilson Golf thanks, I’ll have a look.
I have A strong grip. is that a problem to adopt your swing?
I don't really like is because if you have loose wrists you will hook every shot. Once you are sick of hooking it you will usually lock up then blow it right. Then it becomes army golf. I promote a neutral grip so you can have loose wrists and not have any other compensations in your swing. You need to watch this first: ruclips.net/video/Hh_uALjl_jk/видео.html Read the comments from people who have changed. Then if you are ready you can learn the neutral grip here: ruclips.net/video/jQZLp8bF-Ww/видео.html It is up to you. I prefer not having to practice all the time.
Yes! This works, but man, my back leg and hips are sore from walking during a round the other day!
Yeah, not sure I could walk 18. Haven't done that in years.
Take care.
Can't walk our course and many others in town.
You don't look like you use a "one piece" take away
It appears you use your arms in your backswing then use your body to unwind with the arms following.
I enjoy watching you swing
Never heard that one before. In no way do I take it back with my arms. If anything I am too late in hinging it going back cause my arms are so powerless. Maybe this one will show what I do better: ruclips.net/video/TFjh9dGkZXA/видео.html
I'm looking forward to seeing all your hard work on the golf course, been watching Todd Graves on course, its good material, but it's not your majestic swing big guy. . . I just pray and hope all your due diligence & training is paying off!
Thanks. Todd is a one plane swing teacher. Definitely a little different to what I teach. Once you decide who to follow then keep following one of us. You don't want to confuse techniques.
Love your work, so important! switched to this effortless swing and it works so good! Much more consistent and beautiful ball contacts.
Problem is, I'm now kind of too loose, so I'm swaying and I'mbending the left arm at the top and overswing.
Do i need to tighten up again? 😅
Once you do they will go there on their own. Do lots of practice swings in a mirror.
Yeah I'm gripping my clubs too hard... Thank you from the bottom of my forearm.
Well you are hitting too hard not gripping too hard. Secure grip loose wrists. Watch:

I can honestly say that since I started playing golf with an effortless swing that Paul teaches all my arm aches have disappeared.. Even my body feels good after a round of golf..
At 67 I now can play 3 or 4 times a week pain free..
Thanks Paul for all your wonderful instructional videos.. 🏌️♂️🏌️♂️
Very good. I try telling people this. You are proof. I have literally helped countless people just like you get back to playing again and enjoying golf. That must be such a great feeling. Good job.
@@paulwilsongolf thanks Paul... and thanks for taking time to reply...
