Always nervous with updating firmware but this was straight forward, the webpage has changed now and asks for the Firmware Type, I chose Air. Another great video thanks :)
The main reason to update the MPM firmware to a version equal to or later than v1.3.3.0 (as this is the minimum version being looked for) is that v1.3.3.0 introduced the ability to query the MPM for the complete list of protocols, subprotocols and feature flags, meaning the from that version onwards the MPM tells EdgeTX what your module is capable of. i.e. you don't need update EdgeTX when a future MPM firmware introduces new protocols / subprotocols, which you would have had to do before. Another great instructional video... thanks! :)
Glad you updated this topic! Even though there are few differences between updating the MPM on EdgeTX and OpenTX, a few things have changed in the last year, like no longer having to pick between INV and NON-INV, etc. Thanks, John!
Hi John, a couple of my planes are still using Spektrum receivers. I am getting telemetry alarms soon after I take off. Is there a way with EdgeTX to calibrate the RF frequency? Jim
There is a frequency fine tune for protocols that support it. If the frequencyfine tune doesn't appear on the bind screen with the protocol selected then it's not supported.
