I now have a twenty one year run of adjusting to various radios starting with four channel analog “dumb “ Futaba and Hitec then jumping on the JR computer craze. They became more and more complex as new editions came out but staying with one brand I became somewhat fluent in setting up for fixed wings and then helis. But getting involved with quads the availability of JR receivers became an issue with my current transmitters. I think having a new series of how to’s on this breaking operating system is wonderful for those of us who came later in the game to learn the practice of learning code language, and importantly why you do what you need to do in modern radios using the open tx style of setup. Thanks for your response! It’s like hitting the RC lottery for an old man!

Great vid Painless. Just upgraded to Edge. Not much difference yet, the USB speed for Sims is highly responsive now. Can't wait to see what's to come for EdgeTx in the coming years..👍

Hello…my TX16S mk2 max with version 2.7.1 shows templates when I press the scroll wheel. It never shows select model. I only have one fixed wing plane which I set up and each time I power up the radio, the airplane becomes active. I’m wondering what will I see when I set up a 2nd plane. It doesn’t seem right that the one plane I have set up becomes active when I power up the radio.
Thanks for responding. When I power up the radio it goes to welcome screen. I press scroll key (both short and long) and it goes to the Select model, Chan monitor Model settings and Radio settings screen. I press Select model and up pops the Templates screen showing a Delta and Omphobby M2 planes along with the only model I created. I hit on my model and up pops a window asking if I want to Creat, Duplicate or Save as template. I just want to be able to power on the radio, pick my plane and have the radio recognize it and go fly. Well I thought if I could delete it from the Template screen everything would be okay. Well I messed up....my only plane on the radio is gone forever. Looks like I have to now re-create the model.
Please help. I have just set up my edgetx and the touch screen works and the sys also, but when I klick the MDL buttom at the right hand side I get nothing!!!? Noon of the menu's that you are showing here at all? I just have model 2 and model 3 and nothing. why do you think is that?
Hi I am using Jumper T16S and EdgeTX 2.7.1 with Flysky iA6B rx and I have frequent low RSSi but I don't see the RF Freq Fine Tune option like in your Radiomaster? Dou you have any idea? Few articles I read wrote that the fine tuning option only shows when the TX bind with certain RX is this true?
I am simply looking to replace the background image, a 480x272 PNG files in the themes/default folder but then what do I do I can't get it to work can you provide a link to a video? I'm looking through your videos I don't see how to do that

This as helped somewhat BUT what i really need to know is about "radio setup" some of the options and titles in there seem very important. some ,a lot infact are very technical,how do i know which i need? all ics say is i will be using DSM2 and OMP potocols, would you know what i need to choose for all the options,every one sounds mega important.
EdgeTX is functionally equivalent to OpenTX. What elements of EdgeTX are you struggling with that you use in OpenTX? The MPM stuff is almost identical...

@@Painless360 it is the wrong one lol, I was just trying to use what I had laying around. ended up going with a 2306 1700kv on 6s with a 5" tri blade, love the results.

At the moment I'd only update the Crossfire, INAV and Yaapu LUA scripts on the radio as those are all I use. I'd add them fresh to the radio so I get the latest versions..

The answer is, yes, you have to watch random videos as they pop-up, or 'EdgeTX Masterclass' (lol - what is this, Physics?) videos from the 'other' EdgeTX guy on RUclips.

So, I have this 1/16 scale RC Tank ( ruclips.net/video/Rs_ICMgQiBY/видео.html ) that runs on a _highly_ specialized Controller Board that cannot have its settings changed by the user ( only the type of model and the sounds ). One of the things that grinds my gears is when changing between the 3 modes for how the Model operates where in two of the modes you have limited control of the radar but full control of the tank whereas in the third mode you lose control of the chassis but gain independent control of the radar. Normally you'd expect for them to keep the controls the sam for what stays and just rearrange what changes ( control of the Turret remaining with the Chassis handing over to the Radar ) but they decided otherwise ( controls of the Turret hand over to the Radar and the Chassis handing over to the Turret ). This obviously didn't work for me which is why I've had to mix the crap out of the model to rearrange everything back to be consistent depending on the mode resulting in this Mixer atrocity: i.imgur.com/1kaQCgv.png which brings me to my Question: Can Flightmodes swap Channels around like how I did in Mixes ( possibly tidying things up ) or are they only meant for changing values without altering the Channel?

There is an option, somewhere in edgeTx, to disable touch screen. It can also be put on a switch. Go for the upgrade

I've not made one on the themes. I replaced the image in one of the exusting themes... best of luck
Any info in changing mode? I fly mode 1 but most radios if not all are shipped in mode 2. So is this easy to change?
Mode change is in the radio settings at the bottom, then it's changing the tension and springs for the gimbals... Happy flying

You'd like need to do that in INAV throttle channel limits. Why would you want to? If you need to to then the power system maybe the wrong one?

Possibly nothing but I'd check you have the V tail servos both plugged into the right places on the reciever as step one..
