The stick position indicator on the screen is a great way to quickly verify your sensor gimbals are not going bad before every flight. You don’t want to be mid flight and noticing your quad pitching forward or throttling up on its own and you freaking out on what is going on.
@@X862go I've got both and like both, but use the boxer more because I like full size gimbals. Both are great radios, and it's nice to have the pocket when I'm packing light and as a backup.
@@X862go Sorry it took so long to respond bro - got hit by Hurricane Helene and haven't had power. I've been looking at the RadioMaster Pocket. My brother has the Boxer and he loves it, but its too clunky for me. But I got smaller hands. I guess it depends on how big your hands are 😂
Just purchased new Boxer radio. Trying to remove sd card to replace with brand name card. Without using excess force how do you remove the card. Mine refuses to move with moderate force.
As an edgetx user, with a TX16s flying fixed wing aircraft. I seem to be the guy that our FrSky ethos users come to for help. Most of them went to Ethos because edge was too hard to learn. They seem to have the same issue with Ethos. Steep learning curve. Sure, dual band is great for large scale jet turbines. But most have the 4 in 1 FrSky Tx modules to fly the planes they already have.
I love your videos because the reddit fpv community is so hateful of newbies. It's nice to have a place that wants to grow the hobby instead of keep it all to themselves.
I've had the complete opposite experience with the fpv community on Reddit, they were all really helpful with fixing all the newbie problems I was having
Some have 250mW transmission power . Lots have less . Elrs claims 500 mW on some . If you use external tx module on 1 watt batteries can go dead in minutes . External batteries on a balance type plug using the 2 outside wires and fall out all the time and radios take a minute to restart

I have a RadioMaster TX16S mk2 max that is a week old running very old system. I contacted the guy i purchased the radio from telling him WTF do i need to update a brand new radio? He said don't ever update your transmitters 😅 he said all you'll end up doing is bricking the transmitter!
if its not broken, dont fix it, .. unless there are features u need. then its worth going through the trouble, bricking has plagued firmware upgrades generally, but if u can follow instructions well and apply common sense, its perfectly safe
Just found you via flowstate film. Great work BTW. I'm a pilot and have a flight sim set up. Is there a simple way to plug a controller into the PC and use my hotas flight controls and pedals to fly fpv ?
coming from being a flight instructor(And sim also) and into FPV now. the throttle movement in fpv is so intense and constantly changing rapidly, u can assign the axis , however i doubt the hotas would be suitable, not even close, however u could use them for plane rc sim
Jumper t pro only has 2 click switches but you can put arm on a momentary dead man switch . My drone kept crashing before i could make a video how to set it up like that
but channel values are neither 0 to 100 or -100 to 100. it is based on the servos, so it is based on the pwm values, and pwm values used are from ~1000 to ~2000.
I've been getting more interested in the hobby again after a few years of lower activity. Your videos have been good so far. However this one rubbed me the wrong way right out of the gate. Almost immediately you made an assumption that is just plain not true in my opinion. You said there's almost 100% chance that my transmitter is running edge tx. However at the multiple local clubs I fly at it's very rare to see an openTX/EdgeTX or frsky system. Most are on spectrum or futaba. With a select few on jeti. Then even less common than that is the open tx stuff. Your videos are informative and you present well. But please don't make assumptions like that.
I'd also like to try add an oculus rift and a 360° degree camera so I can look about. Anyone done that ? Then maybe put the motors on gimbals that allow it to remain stationary in any position or fly in any position. Then scale it up so I can sit in it. But I'm getting ahead of myself....Hehe

I just ordered the boxer, mobula8 and an fpv goggles. Setting them up seems like quite a daunting task than learning how to fly 😅😅

Instructions for how to bind would be in a video about the RF system in question. For example, I have videos about how to bind EdgeTX, Crossfire, etc.

It runs FreedomTX, which is similar to EdgeTX in most ways, and you can still use these tutorials. But it's not technically EdgeTX.
