Let me quote: "The most mythical and exclusive tone in the world, with increased options of gain switching, 3 band EQ and switchable buffered or true bypass."
The Tumnus Deluxe is a sweet ride, that's for sure. Like the pedal it tips its hat to, it can do flavoursome clean boost right through to mid-gain raunch. It will add that special something to your tone that may cause you never to disengage it. And now it's even better with the aforementioned added features. The Tumnus Deluxe might be the last overdrive you ever need to buy. Until the next one.

By the way, the strings on the Broadcaster are Ernie Ball Paradigms - and they've been on the guitar since April. They show no signs of tone loss or unstable intonation and I use this axe nearly every day. That's over 6 months of quality and hard use from one set of strings, folks. Check them out - Ernie Ball Paradigms.

Best video on youtube. I can really hear the pedal. Great job.
Wow! I am so glad I found this video! Answered a ton of my questions.
What an amazing sound! Just ordered one Tumnus Deluxe :-)
Great demo.
Thank you Sir!
That was a nice demo
Excellent review
Brett, nice review as usual. very thorough.
Thanks John. Appreciated!
Really does sound good.
You almost need three of these on stage! I have the original Tumnus for my low/mid gain stuff then a Strymon Riverside for the higher gain stuff. Also I use an Xotic RC booster to boost whichever mode Im in. If the Tumnus Deluxe had a noise gate built in Id buy it today. Sweet pedal!
Too many pedals.
Great demo as always Brett! You had me at "nipple switch".
Haha. I knew that would get you!
Bester Mann!
Man, I just bought this pedal last week, and I am absolutely loving it! It has transformed my little Blackheart amp! I've never had a lot of pedals. Tube screamer, SD-1, i used to have a chorus back in the day, but I've never had anything like this little pedal. Unfortunately, they changed the design of the housing! Mr Tumnus and the light pole from the old CS Lewis book are no longer on the front! Why not? Now it just says Tumnus across the front. How boring. Mr Tumnus was the first person Lucy met when she entered Narnia through the wardrobe in the spare room in the book The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe in CS Lewis chronicles of Narnia series.

Yep Fantastic 🤘🏻
how do you think this pedal compares to the Danelectro Pride of Texas overdrive?
Great video! I’d be able to tolerate one of these on my board 😅
Awesome demo Brett! Can you please do a comparison between TUMNUS AND BREAKERS?
Thanks, Matthew! I'm sorry but I can't oblige. Both pedals were moved on to cover bills. Always the way unfortunately.
One of these with a good reverb & nothing else needed 🤔
Sounds stellar! It sounds like it has an ultra-low noise-floor, is that correct? If you feed a quiet signal into the pedal, does it stay quiet (no hiss or high background noise), even with the gain maxed in "Hot" mode?
I'd like to know this also, I started with the Belle and mini Tumnus, they're silent. Next I bought a JHS Morning Glory and whenever I turn that pedal on its really noisy. Hiss, I also tried the JHS Emperor V2 Chorus Pedal. Its even noisier. I want to say Earthquaker Devices and Wampler pedals are the quietest. It's gonna take someone who already owns a full size Wampler Tumnus Deluxe to testify
This must get so creamy when stacked... I'm intrigued
Is it just me or does it make a small pop sound when engaged?
heard that but doesnt really bother me
I've not heard this pedal in person, but I have heard people comment on that clicking sound.
Just got one and mine doesn’t make a popping noise. I’m quite surprised how quiet the pedal actually is even with the gain cranked.
I ended up getting one, and mine makes no sound at all which switching. I really love this thing too.
stack this with a diamond cornerstone. perfect.
which do you prefer - old Tumnus or new Tumnus?
I found them to be very similar although I wasn't able to A/B them together. But if memory serves me correctly, there's little difference but for the feature set.
If only I could wire an expression pedal to that gain knob. Would be so awesome to be able to adjust the gain on the fly and have the full range of tones from that sweet gain section.
Volume knob
Noisy. Had it a year never could get it to work wright for me bought it new lost receipt .let down
Clipping sound :(
Yes its a bummer. Would sound great otherwise.
