- Finally! The new Wampler Paisley Drive Deluxe (or PaisleyDog as Brad calls it) is now available. I think you'll love it. Keep in mind though, it's much more than just a "country guitar pedal" - it's capable of much, much more. In fact, check out the other demos of the pedal in various styles to get an idea of what it can do:
• Video - Jim Lil Review and Demo
• Wampler Pedals - Paisl... - Luke Gallagher Demo
• Wampler Paisley Deluxe - Tom Quayle Demo
• Wampler: THE PAISLEY D... - Brett Kingman Demo
• Wampler Paisley Drive ... - Henning Pauly Review
• Wampler Paisley Drive ... - Mike Hermans Demo
• Wampler Paisley Drive ... - Jay Leonard Jay

Lastly, my original idea for this video was to get Biff Parsons to help out a bit, but due to Brad's schedule we just couldn't make it happen unfortunately. Maybe in the future.

You paid for your friends treatment. God bless you. Earth angel!
Gotta say Brian seems like a really cool down to earth guy just doing what he loves. Really refreshing compared to the fake corporate marketing most companies do. He really seems to "own" his companies products and stand by them. I respect that.
I am not much of a country guy, but I am damn sure a Brad Paisley guy. The dude has mad skills and is a really down to earth. He once said "you cannot hurt this guitar. It is a cutting board with a baseball bat bolted on" and he would give one out to a deserving fan each show. My kind of guy. Great pedal here. I love the concept and the design. Wampler is the best on the planet, well, besides Behringer (lol)
Behringer is the poor man's Boss pedal. Are you that poor?
Brian, you seem like an amazing, down to earth, mid-westerner. Gotta love the heart land. Anyway, great video, GREATER pedal! Fn bad ass man, I love it and I'm an old school, child of the 80's metal head who's just NOW finally getting my head out of my ass and realizing there is so much more to playing guitar than just metal. I'm digging country especially w/ guys like Brad Paisley. Damn he can shred. All of that said, my favorite part of this video was learning that you created a pedal for a friend in need. That is what I call a cool guy. God bless you man and keep up the great work.
I hate buying a pedal unless I take it home and try it with my rig but I broke down and ordered one of these today. The video demos convinced me and I have zero intention of trying to sound like Brad Paisley with it.( He is great but the world only needs one of him). I'm hoping to retire the tube screamer and Boss DS-1 with it. It should arrive on Friday. It aint cheap but we get what we pay for.
GOD BLESSED YOU & YOUR WHAMPLER Pedals Bro for Giving money to the cancer patien 👍👍
maybe god would like to assist in fixing the American retarded health care system?
I've been playing with this pedal all evening as it just got delivered today. One hour ago, I was sure I liked it better routing with Figure 1. Now I like it better with Figure 2. Either way, my only complaint is my own indecisiveness. I'm using a Strat and its the closest thing to turning up my 50 watt Quidley amp to 11 without having to have the cops visit me for shaking my neighbors walls. The versatility is surprising. I'm currently using Channel 2 for a cleaner sound and dirty on channel 1. Gains are both set low, ( 9 and 11 o'clock). I'm fussy when it comes to pedals and I return lots of them. This one is a keeper.
The tone adjustments work better than any other pedal I've used including a tube screamer. I'm getting nice treble sounds without that dreaded Strat ear-burn. I like the way I can get a good sound on my bridge pick up and neck pick up without changing anything and this pedal is doing that for me. The pedal obviously loves the Tele but it also loves the Strat. I'm going to try it on my Jaguar next and I encourage others to try it with different guitars. Also, besides the cool bag and stickers, it came with a battery which I do appreciate. There are a few challenges though: Getting the volume right when using both channels is one I'm struggling with. But its still new so I'll get it. Thanks for making this pedal.
I'd take this over a KOT most days of the week.
I stuck a Phase45 in front of it , then ran the PD (2>1) into tape delay, Laney VC30 - amazeballs. Tremolo for extra sauce.
Strat, Gretsch, 335 - they all sounded wonderful. Never sell pedal. Cheers, Wampler. Well done.
If only I hadn't JUST gotten a Pinnacle Deluxe V2... Awesome pedal guys!!
I have this pedal and love it, sometimes I think I may kick it off my board but that's only because it doesn't always suit my needs for my music in church - don't misunderstand though, I will NEVER get rid of this beautiful pedal!
It’s great for hard rock stuff if you do a lot of that.
If you don’t, you’re wasting your money unless you just want to have fun on your own.
@@jimmy5634You have no idea what you're talking about. This pedal can do everything. I just put it on my 4th pedalboard. Over 80 pedals and none of them were a waste of money, sounds like you just jealous, nothing new.
Nice energy in this presentation. Excellent sound. Wonderful unboxing. No repetition. Nice work all around.
+crush537 thanks my friend 😊
You’re a cool noble dude for paying for your friends cancer treatments. You have a kind heart.
No the question is: why Channel 1 is on the right and not on the left? A little bit confusing to me... anyway it sounds great!
I've got one, great pedal never struggled with it haha
Glad I have this pedal. It's a perfect match for a fender jaguar. It's been over a year. This one is a keeper.
Love it. Been waiting on Brian to do his own unboxing and demo. Can't wait to try it out!!!
Brian, you design some really great pedals. This is a super functional pedal that could help half the guitarists on the planet.
This pedal is so good. Tele-Lollar pickups-this pedal-any clean amp or otherwise. Nailed it.
Where were those beautiful drone shots filmed in the beginning of the vid?
can't give away ALL the secrets ;)
Killer! Love your demos, pedals, and the way your just a nice dude doing great things!
How did you NOT officially name it "The Paisley Dog"? Hahah, that would've been amazing!
If we had thought of it before, we probably would have!
Too bad :)

Got a new Marshall Origin 20 head running through 2x12 ppc orange cab slamming it with drive 1 OMG!!!! that pedal is awesome great job
My local Guitar Center has one of these and a Tumnus used. I'm very interested in both.
Dear Brian, what have you done to me? Ever since this pedal came out I just needed to have one, 'cos it just sounds immensely good. This is the pedal I wanted all along. Now I am a poor sucker, so I needed to save up all the money I could spare for a whole year AND hope there'd be that lucky moment when someone just gives me a wonderful amount of money, just because I'm a nice guy.
And today was that day I got that last Euro and the first thing I did was to order the Paisley Deluxe Dual Overdrive. In a few days IT'S MIIIINE!!!! I'm so glad, I can feel a teardrop running down my cheeks right now (and yes, I'm aware of the fact that this may sound a bit weird...).
HOWEVER..., I have to say I'm just a little affraid of what might happen. See, I must have seen practically every Paisley Deluxe Drive demo on RUclips, but I can't remember seeing any good demo where a humbucker guitar is used. And my number one guitar is a trusty old Gibson ES-347. Brian..., PLEASE tell me I did the right thing! I know it's a risk and I THINK I know how to interpret the sounds I hear (and so dearly love) to that world of humbucking glory. Am I going to be the happy man I hoped to become by the purchase of this piece of pedal art?
Maybe...., just maybe I was not that wise in taking a small (?) risk in this. But I have to say that I absolutely love you for what you've done for your friend by building the underdog pedal to raise money for that treatment. You're a wonderful person. This world needs more people like you. Thanks!
Nice!
Just bought my first Wampler pedal! Proud Tumnus Owner and I'm about ready to post my Blues Driver for sale😁
Using the bag for picks. I never thought of that!! My picks are everywhere in my guitar case. Thanks for the tip!
Or an altoids tin!
So many different tonal options with this pedal, it’s like a Swiss Army knife. I currently run mine with the ch2 TS side always on to push the amp, then into ch1 for main my overdrive.
Best unboxing ever! Let's be gentle with it...kerplunk.😂 Stickers, manual..."pitches over shoulder". Lol. Love it. Great gear. Thank you, Brian. Just picked up the standard version.
Cool pedal! I love how it makes a tele sound big and fat without that single coil squeal.
Very Cool Pedal. Like way you’re able to change the order. Very pleasant tones(Country)to Very aggressive tones(Metal). Which brings to the Point of the New Label in the Industry. COUNTRY METAL which John 5 is Touring the Country(pun?)& bring the masses into the Venues for their first installment of the next big thang.👍🏼🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸👍🏼
Excellent work Brian! Another to add to the Shopping Cart! Wooo Hooo!
Brian your the grand champ ! The unboxing was the best. Haha love your pedals. Rock on
That Jim Lill video was TIGHT!!!
i use that bag to hide my weed...
Good idea. Tell me where you put the bag though.
He forgot.... Lol
@@Humanleague002
Nice try, officer Gilman.
Aside from your brilliance, you are a fantastic and delightful guy.
“Let’s be gentle with it, because it’s a pedal”
*proceeds to carelessly dump out of box*
Is the best tone achieved using a matching blue guitar? Or, more specifically, will my shell pink Strat not sound as good or, somehow, out of phase?
THX
Uba Tooba must be color coordinated.. where have you been dude😁
I love the way the Bass knob works on channel 1. It seems to cut the low-end in the right spot, so it doesn't get tiny sounding at lower setting. Wonderfull, i'm gonna check this one out :)
I want a dual overdrive that acts like a channel switcher. I prefer running one pedal at a time instead of stacking them because it's easier to switch when playing live. So when one side is turned on, the other side is turned off and vice versa.
THIS is how you make a pedal demo - using a real life amp and a real life guitar
nice demo budy. i am inspired by this pedal an the sound. been trying to accumilate the tight compressed over drive type sound. an you did it budy. thanks now i need to buy one lol
I thought "separate" would allow me to toggle between channel1 and channel2, without having the opportunity to activate both at the same time, and without using external switching systems. Kind of a bummer.
Hey, what's with the graphic/visual aid for the Paisley Drive? Sideways mini toggles, Brad's signature where the LED would be...is this an old pre-production mockup of the Paisley Drive?
Honestly, I find most overdrive pedals to perform poorly, suck horrifically and more trouble than they are worth. But, this pedal is versatile and preserves such amazing note articulation that I might just have to invest in one for my studio.
nice pedal ! .. I remember having had a tele like that back in 1970 ... that nice too !
Getting some pretty sweet sounds out of that Mexican Tele. The underdog side is pushing both Amps into plexi territory. Sounds pretty damn sweet.
Want this pedal badly
Thanks for the great demo, Brian! Great drive tones, does it clean up nicely? You did a little bit of cleaner stuff, but I wondered if I like the cleaner side of OD for country would this pedal be a good fit? I like a bit of dirty but not too much metal in country. Cheers!
This is my fourth pedal from you Brian. My question for you since you tend to make these pedals easy for switchboards, have you thought of making a looper/ switcher? I guess like the gigrig g2 but not 2000 bucks?
Sounds awesome! Just ordered this bad boy! Can't wait for it to get here! This is my 4th Wampler.....thinking about the Hot wired V2 next!
I like it......alot! Even if it were not a working pedal, the design and graphics of the enclosure are so cool, the enclosure would make and awesome table weight :)
Great pedal, i'm using it direct to amp's clean channel and also pushing a Zoom G2 on Boogie patch
That Mexican Tele sounds really great! Are those pickups stock?
Also…. How’s this sound with hum buckies? I mostly play a thinline and an FMT Tele.
This and the dual fusion both sound amazing.. I'm buying both..
Who don't need a bag 4 picks & stuff ??? Some folks need more stuff than others ... Man I like that set-up ,,, 1st one I've seen that's very useable stacked ... Got 2 get mine ... Thanks ... D
Sir in this video you have the pedal going through the AC 15 in the normal in… does the EQ matter or are you using something seperate to mix sound . I just bought an AC15 but my tone is not a great
First note is at 5:45
Thank you for the demo. The first demo I heard was on Henning's channel (EytschPi42) and it's nowhere near twang territory, but sounds great.
I had that exact tele. Such a great color!
Hey all, looking for your thoughts,
This pedal, or the Hot wired Brent mason both are awesome thanks
Love your pedals and your a hell of a player also
So this may seem like a weird question, but this is a very crisp sounding distortion; is there enough EQ flexibility on this thing to play metal? As in, can you scoop the mids enough for chugging and is the mid/treble gain/response useable for pinch harmonics and sizzle?
On your demos I'm not hearing quite the sound I'm looking for out of your high gain distortion pedals - the Plexidrive sounds just like my Marshall JCM800, meaning the lows are either floppy or thin depending on where the knob is at, the Sovereign seems a little too 'wall of sound' for my tastes and the Triple Wreck seems like it doesn't have the flexibility to do warmer, light OD stuff and it sounds too grindy/grainy for my tastes. These aren't criticisms of your pedals, they seem like perfect executions of your intent.
This pedal seems to have the dynamic response, attack and definition I'm looking for. I really just want to run one drive pedal to cover everything from rockabilly/blues/country/country swing up to No More Tears era Zakk Wylde and, to a lesser extent Megadeth/Metallica sounds (not a tall order at all!). I'm hoping to use my Hot Rod Deluxe (with a 12AT7 preamp tube) on the clean channel and have one flexible pedal for drive. I know I'm throwing a lot of stuff out there but I'm trying to figure out how to get where I'd like to be in terms of tone. I would consider stacking one other pedal; I just don't want to have a long chain of single use drives. Any input you have would be much appreciated.
I do; however I have issue with most metal oriented pedals - they're either really buzzy or the bottom end is floppy AF, was thinking I could maybe boost into this thing and get what I'm looking for? Right now, I'm using the J Rockett Tim Pierce into a Marshall JCM800 but it seems to have some sort of Bose noise cancelling effect except in reference to drive; got it after I posted this so I'm getting the idea, just hate the idea of having 3 drive pedals on my board or keeping multiple amps just to get the flexibility to gig. Ultimately; I'd like to show up with my Hot Rod Deluxe and get a decent approximation of all of the sounds I'd like to hear.
Very nice! But no presence switch or eq threeway switch on the Paisley Drive side?Just a voicing switch?
Wampler must be doing pretty well businesswise, so why did you use a Mexican made Fender to demo it? Do you prefer it over the USA (which I imagine you can easily afford)?
Just submitting my request for a Paisley Drive Mini with internal dip switches standing in for the mini toggles...
Nice demo. Just got to thinking, how does the Paisley deluxe stack up against a Truetone VS-XO?
I gotta have it!
What is that big guitar pick on the wall right at the start of the video?? Oh...... nice pedal too!!
Plectrum SpectrumTM Guitar Pick Displays:Username checks out...
I just ordered one of these
Great video
I'm wondering how that would sound through my set up: BC Rich Exclusive (like a PRS) into a Peavey Deuce VT Series...? O_o
This is a great pedal, american made things are great. But expensive here. Am a start to save now so I can get for christmas. Love Brad Paisley
If we're talking about favourite demos of the Paisley Drive Deluxe, I'm gonna give a shout out to JLeonardJ. Jay is in my personal top 3 of most awesome guitarists I've discovered on RUclips in the last few years, alongside Johnny Hiland and Tom Quayle.
+ForViewingOnly awww poop. I forgot jays link. Adding it now
Yea he does a great job! Send him more pedals!!
Bought mine today on Reverb!!
Is this the same as the Wampler Pedals - Hot Wired v2, Brent Mason ????
No, completely different
@@wampler_pedals I'll have to try and get both 😁🤘
The Biff Parson signature OD is better. Not so full of itself
Yep...SOLD
Hey buddy this kenny from blue ride rambler...just nobodies but we do a lot of 80s hard rock and metal..do you make a pedal to get that true dual solo.
.I'm the only guitarist and I like it that way until time to do scorpions or maiden or skid row etc...I've got the paisley deluxe too..I love it but still haven't mastered that brad sound yet..I keep looking on RUclips though...lol
Is that Wampler Sign available for sale
Does Brad actually use these? Or is the idea that these bring to a consumer the sound that’s similar to BP on stage with thousands in equipment but in a $250 accessory?
Brad uses them. You can find many pictures of his rig both on our Instagram and his.
@@wampler_pedals I'm just learning guitar and before I bought a guitar or an amp I bought your original Paisley pedal to get as close to his sound as I can when I'm playing so much respect.
Gotcha! Yes a lot of brad’s tone comes more from *how* he’s playing, it’s a unique style, with unique phrasing, etc. For example, check out jim Lill and Hayden Baker, I think they both have videos detailing how to play like Brad in order to get his sound. Hayden has a ton of videos like that on tiktok, Jim’s videos are on RUclips
Mr.Wampler my push button on my Paisley Drive V2 has came off is there a way to fix that?
It should just fit back on the switch. If it’s not working properly email help@wamplerpedals.com and we will get you taken care of
Thank you have got in contact with support and they are going to send me a replacement thank you so much Great support amazing pedal love it
Very nice sound. Brian, ,have you ever heard of Sheptone pickups & if so what's your opinion?
Thanks! Never heard of them unfortunately
Damn that is a great sounding pedal! It seems like you use a clean set amp to use it (not a bad thing for me), is that the secret? I have a dual button Pantheon, now I want to add this! Oh to find more real estate! 🤣
Ps…. I had stage 4 cancer some 14 years ago… and yes it sucks! Good on you!
Solid!
Insanely GREAT!
Hi Brian
What type of switching pedal would you recommend so has you can switch from the stacked channel one in to two and vice versa without unplugging the cables? Would any channel switching pedal work for this - something like the Electro Harmonix Switchblade, for instance?
"Nationwide is on your siiiiiide." sorry, couldn't resist
This is the pedal...i was looking others brand...dual whatever...double over.....vitamin pedal....etc etc...but this pedal is my ears
Cat so mad it's not a Uni-vibe it didn't even show up this video :P
the furrball wouldn't even talk about it with me :(
I could watch your unboxing videos
I'm sold.
Sorry Tom Quale... this is the one for me
Oh man , sounds great 👍
I really wish you went with the name "Paisley Dog" and did a picture of a dog with a Paisley pattern on it 😅
Anyway it's not a deal breaker obviously, just a cherry on the cake...
Ha! Brian Wampler unboxing his own creation
a pantheon deluxe would be the shit!
So when is there gonna be a virtual version for Amplitube?
So why is Channel 2 on the left side and Channel 1 on the right?
Guitar goes in to the right side of a pedal and leaves on the left side traditionally. Hence, first channel them second channel
Thank you Brian!
Luke Gallagher hey man, awesome playing. I also loved the version of a company jingle you did. A big green she'd jingle. I work for them, and not so long ago played a copy of your copy of our jingle at a conference. Went well, rocked hard. Awesome to see you on one of my all-time favorite channels. We all know Brian just rocks.....
No Luke, thank YOU :)
dcs2402 Thanks so much mate! haha small world isn't it? Thank you for playing it at the conference! That would have been so good to see haha.
Looks great......I want one & a donut, I really want a donut too!
Damn, now I want a donut!
You're alright sir.
