Can you offer a "special edition" 25 and 50 dollar stickers or coffee mugs? I don't need more hats and t-shirts. A 50 dollar tiny hardhat sticker? I'd rock a GOT sticker on my lid. Might help with the saw reviews for those of us trying not to accumulate more junk.

Earlier this year I went to a dealer to get a new saw for logging. My company pays for whatever I want, so I could pick up anything from any shelf. The dealer, who is one of the largest in Denmark, was lucky enough to have 592's in stock, and I really like husky. It came down between the 592 and the Stihl 500i. Their prices was almost identical. Tried them both, and went with the 592. I can see why a ported version of the 500i is hard to compare with stock saws, but I'm currently logging large oak and beech together with a colleague, who runs a stock 500i, and compared with that, my 592 is just on another level. (Stock). It weighs a bit more, but I don't have to refuel as often as him. And often I can hear his saw really running heavy and working hard, while my saw, in the same size wood, just rips and almost can't be pushed hard enough. I just can't slow it down. But thats just my opinion, tried em both, went with the 592, loving every moment of work.

I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.

  • @owtlawglock

Buy a Stihl and you have to buy an aftermarket air filter which will still plug all the time. the Stihl caps allow more debris in than the Husky's. Having the tensioner on the cover is also a better idea as it would be more accessible to replace if needed. The cases are a bit heavier duty on the Husky as well.

That’s the biggest difference for me between Stihl and Husqvarna is the filtration. I absolutely hate the Stihl filtration because they get dirty constantly. I have to clean the Stihl filter often and the Husky almost never. Husky has figured out how to spin the dirt out of the air charge before the filter sees it.

Right that improves filtration for sure but to my point the Husky spins the dirt out through its intake design BEFORE it gets to the filter. This is what I like about the husky filters, they don’t even get dirty. I’m speaking from east coast perspective, I know the barks on the west coast can be very dusty or fire damaged.

The biggest thing I hate about Stihl is the deep inset fuel and oil cap. I find when fueling so much dirt and dust gets flushed into the tanks where as the husky’s don’t with the shallow caps. Love reviews by guys that use the equipment for a living. Right to the point and specific like the handle angle. I have driven Semi's for 30+ yrs. I can get in a truck, drive it 20 miles and tell you everything it does and what I do and don't like. Saws seem the same way. I learn a ton from video's like this just watching guys use the saws then explaining the likes and dislikes.

Ford vs Chevy is a great comment on saws. I've talked to fellers and arborists up and down the east coast and in AZ, UT who are diehard Stihl guys, Husky, Jonsered and even a few that would run nothing but Sachs Dolmar. People can get very specific about their equipment. I did clearing in AZ on a national forest one summer and the company had Stihls. After a bit I ended up using an old Mcculloch that just cut better. All metal and much heavier but I was young and in college so didn't mind the weight.

A 4 stroke saw review would be interesting.
I'd also like to get my hands on whatever logic controllers they're using in fuel injected saws.

Learned something new about rocking the saw to make the kerf wider so the bar doesn’t get pinched! Awesome video. I run a 550xp,562xp and a 572xp!Husky is a great saw!

Nice bunch of Huskies ! But I'm wondering if you really need the 562, there's nothing the 562 can do that the 550 and 572 can't.

@@vzmax I’ve had the 562 for 4 years,I just bought the 572 in late April and the 550 in May. I find myself using the 562 the most,I have a 24 in bar on it and it just seems like the best saw for me.

Well, it seems you like Husky chainsaws so much that you buy some even if you don't really need them ! 😀
As for me, my 550XP is big and powerful enough for my property.
      Take care !

Great vlog Jacob reviewing the new husky like the chappy u were working with I too am a Stihl guy when it comes to power tools like chainsaws or blowers or weed whackers or other grounds maintenance equipment but I will say that husqvarna has in recent years become more of a threat to Stihl so I would not say I am never gonna use a piece of husqvarna equipment but more so Stihl is what I am used to and what I know and am comfortable using but great vlog non the less so keep it up dude from the little island of the U.K.

After running a 2100 earlier in my career I got the husky bug pretty bad now my saws are ported 372s and 395s they cover everything I run into 100% agree with the Ford Chevy deal whatever floats your boat as long as the work gets done still miss that 2100 though ha ha

i will admit i am a husky man however as you said the boys you were with were set in there ways with stihl and it wouldnt matter how good it was they would never have acknowledged it. I reckon its a weapon of a saw and i love the features of the husky 5 series

Thought it was interesting they bragged on the 500 but stock might be the worst air filter set up! Glad you gave some unbiased review of husky. Price is always cheaper for a real comparable stihl saw.

Cheers, keep the videos coming .

Logging in this country has come a long way. My grandfather used to use a two man saw, and they hauled out the logs by a team of horses. I am sure that logging is a lot safer now than it was around 1890!

I'm a husky man they've done good for me! I don't think I've ever owned a still, but I'm an old timer I grew up with those big old Mculicks and once they got hot they were hard to start, we spent most of our time pulling spark plugs and pulling rope!!. Was from Wisconsin back then ,we had severely cold Winters and I burned wood on these old Farms where I lived and I traded a 750 two-stroke Kawasaki 1972 model plus an extra perfect engine 750cc Kawasaki for a new mackmuk chainsaw with an 18 inch bar I think it was Pro Series I don't remember the numbers. that's how hard life was, I traded my motorcycle for a saw so I can heat my house and work in the woods
