You can buy fuel that is pre-mixed, or you can buy 2 stroke oil that is designed to be added to gasoline at a ratio of 50 parts gas to 1 part oil. The proper oil is important - any old oil will not do.

I know they account for operating time, so maybe they have a bit of a rich run-in built-in. That way it doesn't blow up when treated like what we just saw.... Also, if you really dont like the autotune, then get the 585 instead, same saw, conventional carburator for the die-hard fans...

@@MachineryNation deliberately showing unsafe behavior with potentially life threatening machinery is more about doing it differently. The funny banter while discussing the saw was great. But the guy doing the dancing is a clown. And I’m sure, living in rural Canada cutting my own firewood, that I use a saw on a much more frequent basis than you.

@@MachineryNation obviously when you make a video you possibly can be influencing your audience. I think if someone not experienced with using a saw may think chainsaws are just toys, that fooling around and not really concentrating on safe use is the way they should be used. That saw has real potential for injuries if not respected. Loose footing as a result of saw chips, a heavy piece of machinery and a chain spinning at 12000+ rpm, should get more respect. I don’t see professional loggers here or on the internet holding their saws between their legs and humping them either. Your partner doesn’t act like that, just you maybe you and that saw should get a room.

Putting some oil on the bar for the first start up would be good as it takes a while for the oil to come up from the saws oiler .
I always fuel and oil a new saw and run it before I fit a chain and bar . That way you know it's all good and can see the oiler working . Steve sent me over but he would not be that impressed lol. I am never buying those Husqvarna trousers they are so gay .

@@ihd-3603 Any oil. At wide-open throttle, blowing off acres daily in a commercial environment, 50:1 ratio would cause no compression after 1+ year. At 40:1, we're at 8 years with solid compression as when new. 50:1 is mandated by EPA/Carb for emissions, but destroys equipment. We run a landscape co with hundreds of huge weekly accounts since 2005. 50:1 is hardly any oil at all... at 40:1, you can see it actually coat engine components when looking in cylinder. The owners manual often say to start "break in" at 40:1. 50:1 is to lower emissions only, and sell more equipment.
