I got one to play on my deck. I really like it. I find myself practicing with it a lot. It’s quiet enough to not have my neighbors hate me, it loves pedals and is versatile enough to get a ton of sounds out of. I really like it.

I can’t understand how people get pedals to work with orange amps. I have tried fuzz and wah pedals and neither sound great on this or my crush 20rt. They sound much better on a yamaha thr 30.

Beginner electric guitarist here- I think I'm going to get myself this amp as my first! It's affordable enough, I like how it looks, and your review has informed me of its quality. It's a nice comprehensive review/demo that showcases all its features and how it sounds. If I hadn't found this video and discovered that this little amp on my list had a tuner and a headphone output thing, I wouldn't be deciding on this one. Thanks!

Sounds good, especially for what is---3 watts solid state. I have a Fender mini Tone Master that has a decent clean and a good distorted tone. Not buying one with the delusion of replacing my tube amps--- I have a Carvin X60, Pignose G40 and a few more tube amps. These amps are handy to play late at night, not wanting to disturb others around, writing songs, etc.

Not a bad amp. But I prefer the sound of my Micro Dark. The MD is small and cheap, but loud enough to gig with, it's a good practice amp as it has headphones out with a Cab sim, you can use it in the studio since there's an FX loop AND it has a valve that helps it sound like the real thing.

the super-close mic placement exaggerates the lows unrealistically ("proximity effect" in recording), tiny amps can sound huge if you get the mic diaphragm close enough to the speaker. It wouldn't sound like that in a room, but it'd be fun to experiment connecting it to different/larger speakers.

Orange makes great amps (though not for everyone, as they are unique). But, I gotta say that I tried this little guy and it is crap. There are really two practical modes 1) REALLY poor clean tone 2) buzzy gain tone. Maybe that's why he does not dwell on the clean one. The draw here is that it is really tiny - and orange. IMO, for the portability/money, the Boss Katana Mini or the Blackstar Fly have much better sounds and range of tones/effects. But, truthfully, I've not found any of these battery powered micro amps to be keepers. So, I spent just a little more money (and a size) on a used Yamaha THR5 - and it gave me a huge jump in quality and versatility.
