Agreed! The idea was just to make sure the focus was on the sound and features, not the brand. Hopefully you and others will find this helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Glad you liked the Blackstar Fly 3. I have two of them and an ext cab. Also have a Blackstar Core ID V3 10 but mostly play with the Flys as I am so impressed with them.
The Blackstar and the Nux are really great sounding mini amps. Totally a beginner, but looking for a small amp to simply use for practice anywhere in the house. These two are clear winners. Thanks for a great video comparison. Loved each ones input and playing.
I have an Orange Mini and the thing they miss, maybe I've not understood well, is that Orange mini has the output for a real speaker and can also function as a mini amplifier with Orange tone. Not bad!!! This was my turning point in choosing it!🖖
I have the Daneletro but I use it to blast a Harmonica through. It's great. With the right mic breaks up just the way you want it to. For Guitar however I'll take Black Star also. I'm not big on Metal music so Orange isn't high on my list for Guitar. However with its attention to Gain Orange might be a great Harmonica amp.
You can't beat Daneletro Honey Tone for the price. It would be my choice for a kid to see if they're gonna stick with it or not. If they do then we'll invest in a big amp.
The Donner did sound pretty good for it's price and being rechargable. Not our favorite, but OK. We have not tried the Rowin or Lekato yet, so we can't speak to that.
My budget is low I was thinking to go for ornage instead of blackstar So I need your suggestion because anyways I’m going to use bias fx will it make any difference between these two? Thank you !
They both sound great and I think you would be happy with either. They both have their own distinctive sound, go with whichever you prefer from the demos. Two very good under $100 amp options.
Agreed, that would be pretty cool. I will say that when you add the second speaker you do get more volume. We did check out their 10 watt ID:Core it is was pretty cool, but that is a different level. Hopefully Blackstar will see the suggestion, good one! 👍🏼
Loved the way my Black star Fly played and sounded. Until the power switch failed, at two years and two months since I got the amp, speaher, etc. Sweetwater and Black star both declined any assistance. " out of warranty".... Here's the punch line: this had spent its entire life on the desk in my tiny office. Was probably switched on and off 3 or 4 times a week....clearly abusive behavior. Bonus: I now face the decision : Give these guys even more $$, or find somebody that would buy the rest of the kit....
Thanks for sharing that story here. It helps the community to hear as many experiences as possible, so this is an important insight. We appreciate the help.
The fake facial expressions immediately made me feel this isnt trustworthy. A guy that plays that well acting like hes hearing something amazing is a huge tell. And how is that a vlind test? And why add weird drum beats over the amps we're supposed to be hearing? Very silly stuff here.
The Donner clean tone sounded like the radio guitar on the intro to Wish You Were Here to me. Would be a pretty cool tone to have.
Great observation. Thanks for joining the dialog here.
I keep forgetting what that Orange one is
Orangestar?
I like the concept of comparing small amps, although as a blind test, I think most of us (and the testers) would know what the brands were
Agreed! The idea was just to make sure the focus was on the sound and features, not the brand. Hopefully you and others will find this helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Great to hear from a Blckstar Fly 3 owner, we certainly enjoyed it. Thanks!

I love this so much! For apartments and less affluent players this is so great. I have the honey tone.
Thanks Jeff. The Honey Tone is so much fun!
I would go with the gear guys and vote for the Blackstar.
Thanks for weighing in!
The honey tone has a great sound for blues plus a clip on for a great price
That one really was fun and what a great deal.
I own it’s really nice for electro acoustic blues too.
I have an Orange Mini and the thing they miss, maybe I've not understood well, is that Orange mini has the output for a real speaker and can also function as a mini amplifier with Orange tone. Not bad!!! This was my turning point in choosing it!🖖
Great point! That is a nice feature to have. Thanks for pointing that out here.
Connect orange mini crush to Sony HT450 surround sound bar: concert sound!!!!@@NoFearGuitarGear
I can't help myself but love orange sound. somehow it sounds authentic
That little Orange is impressive.
The HoneyTone is just so CUTE!!!
Agreed and the clip-on feature is great, we are still having fun with that one.
Own and love.

Great feedback, thanks! I bet that Danelectro for harmonica is very cool.
I just bought the honeytone waiting to have it and try it for delta blues with an unexpensive 60's egmond electro acoustic guitar
That is great. Please do let us know how that amp works for you.
Well done well edited video good spirit deserves more views!!
Thanks so much @davidames1746 🙏🏼 We are still a very new channel, so we are paying our dues. 😉

It is a great choice for that for sure. Thanks for joining the discussion here.
I vote #4. A great faceoff between the mini amps.
Thanks for joining the dialog. One vote for #4 noted.
#3 all the way. Love the extra cab option!
We agree!
#2 though I like #3 as well as it could clearly do more effects.
Thanks for adding your vote here! 👍🏼
I have my fly 3 ran into a 4/10 PV cabinet.
I have 3 honeytones! Got them all for under 10 dollars a piece in 3 colors 😅
That sounds like a pretty strong endorsement for the Honeytone, wow! Thanks for sharing that with the community here.
Awesome!
Thanks Jay!
Maybe dumb question but are the amps strong enough to have a pedalboard connected as well?
I think 5 is my favorite, but the honeytone is good bang for buck
Thanks for joining the dialog here. One vote noted for the Donner! Yes the Honeytone is a fun one.
The NUX should have got the honourable mention, judged on same parameters as the Blackstar. The group liked Orange only mainly as a novelty.
That is fair. We all liked the NUX and it does the most stuff. An honorable mention is warranted.
#3 had the best initial clean tone in terms of frequency balance and depth.
Thanks for joining the dialog.
Very underrated channel
Thanks so much @tunizra 🙏🏼
And how about the Donner? I liked it because it is rechargeable... The sound is very bad or not?
Still better than others like Rowin PE-10 or LEKATO 5w?
The Donner did sound pretty good for it's price and being rechargable. Not our favorite, but OK. We have not tried the Rowin or Lekato yet, so we can't speak to that.
@@NoFearGuitarGear thanks so much
I don't know it was the best but I'll take Daneletro Honeytone simply because it's below forty bucks. I don't need much from a practice amp.
You have to put the honey tone speaker faced down to get the best of it
Should’ve showed them the 8ohm output on that orange
My budget is low I was thinking to go for ornage instead of blackstar
So I need your suggestion because anyways I’m going to use bias fx will it make any difference between these two?
Thank you !

Go for it you cant go wrong with any of them. I want somthing i know my local shop has the Honey but gonna see what else😊
Waiting for orange 🍊 as a bd gift. I’m tired of choosing wisely I choose with my heart ✨🧡✨
Sounds good. We would love to hear how you like it.
Getting a blackstar mini soon!
Let us know your experience. We would love to have that for the community here.
Very good video. Blackstar won with Orange being close second.
Thanks for joining the dialog here and thanks for your kind words. 🙏🏼
would love they make a blackstar fly 5....just a little bit bigger one...
Agreed, that would be pretty cool. I will say that when you add the second speaker you do get more volume. We did check out their 10 watt ID:Core it is was pretty cool, but that is a different level. Hopefully Blackstar will see the suggestion, good one! 👍🏼
2 and 5 are for sure the best, volume and tone
Thanks for your vote! 👍🏼
The tiny speakers are what's holding back these tiny amps.
Err...they're mini after all.
Loved the way my Black star Fly played and sounded. Until the power switch failed, at two years and two months since I got the amp, speaher, etc. Sweetwater and Black star both declined any assistance. " out of warranty"....

How are you recording sound? Is it faked?
We had a few overhead mics to capture the sound for each amp in the same way. Not faked, but also not close-miced as you might do normally.
Black star
That is a nice little amp. Thanks for joining the dialog here.
Blackstar
I’ve owned them all….It’s not even close….Blackstar
Wow the orange is an orange ? 😂
❤no 2
Awesome, thanks for that vote for the Blackstar Fly 3
From this video i think 2 amd 3 sounded best
Nux rocks
We are starting to discover that as well. Have tested several products from NUX and have been pleasantly surprised in each and every case.
caline lorcan is the best mini amp
NU-X for me....
Great choice. Thanks for sharing your selection here.
Yeah but your cheating and using pedals😂😂😂
''blind'' test...
Tune the guitar for the love of god !!!!
The fake facial expressions immediately made me feel this isnt trustworthy. A guy that plays that well acting like hes hearing something amazing is a huge tell. And how is that a vlind test? And why add weird drum beats over the amps we're supposed to be hearing? Very silly stuff here.
Yup. There's too many good honest reviewers out there to tolerate this nonsense.
.. none.. Get a Boss Katana Mini.
We will have to do a new challenge with the Katana Mini in the mix.
They all suck
Kid in the 1960s "I'm looking for an amp under 100$" here's a fender champ. Kid in 2024 here's a junk novelty amp lol
Katana mini
It was not out when we did this, but we do need to do a rematch with that one included.
