    Can't fault the Crush 20RT! I bought one as my main combo late last year - and use it for playing the local music clubs and when our little (pensioner) group goes out entertaining. It also drowns out the rest of the group who have Nu-X 50W combos....... and I love playing jazz and blues through it! Never needed to go beyond about 3 1/2... it's a glorious beast of an amp - and I'll be using it for a very long time - and it's very light, which is important at my age!

      It really is a beast of an amp and very underestimated! No surprise that you can keep up with a full band. Thanks for sharing!

      I know right?!? The hard thing to convey via a video is just how powerful and loud it is in the room. It's a beast to be so tiny.

      I adore mine and have played it into all sorts of cabinets and cabinet simulators. Kept up with a metal jam with it plugged into a Marshall 4x12, but it still sounds powerful through the orange 8” cab.

    I got the Super Crush 100, it sounds amazing and is even cheaper than the OR15. It's really versatile.

      @@buyorborrowmusic That's good news, it sounds amazing, there's no tube maintenance to worry about and the price is amazing. The dirty channel is designed gain staged like a tube amp just with jfets instead. The clean channel lacks a bright cap so it's really neutral and takes pedals like a champ. I love the thing.

    Find an older, English made Orange Rocker 30. Versatile. Sounds great. Affordable.

      The Rocker 30s are great. We focused on new products for this video since many entry-level buyers want to purchase new. But there are many great options on the used market if you're willing to do some digging.

    What were you outputting the Stamp into? It sounded like a cellphone at full volume?

    • @buyorborrowmusic
      @buyorborrowmusic  Месяц назад +1

      Good question! We were running the Stamp into a 1960B Marshall 4x12 with Vintage 30s (you can see it behind in the shot). It was mic'd with a SM57 about 1 inch to the left of the dust cap, right on the grill cloth. At full volume, the Stamp clipped the preamp (we were using a Focusrite Clarett) and did sound a bit distorted do to the the high volume in the room. The little Stamp packs quite the punch!

    I know they say micro stamp can sound very high volume when distorted but what about clean? Is clean loud enough to keep up with the drums?

    • @buyorborrowmusic
      @buyorborrowmusic  27 дней назад +1

      Good question! Fast forward to the 5:00 mark and we talk about the clean sound and do a demo. Short story, there's not a lot of clean headroom on this pedal. You can get it relatively clean, but the volume is rather low.
      As you turn up the gain though, there is more than enough power in this pedal to keep up with drums at a live gig. If you're interested in a micro sized amp that can get more headroom, check out the Orange Pedal Baby. You'll need to run something in front of it as a preamp (could be a modeler or another preamp-style pedal) but that would give you plenty of clean headroom in a very small package.
      We stock the Orange Pedal Baby as well, so if you want to check it out, sign up for our Pro plan and you can borrow it for $39!
