If the speaker’s rattling - there’s a mechanical fault! I’ve just bought a Crush 20RT - for playing the folk clubs - and I’m absolutely blown away by the modern Orange sound - even better than when I first heard them back in 1978, in Liverpool. I have it set for a clean sound with a warm clean on the overdrive channel; I’m not likely to buy other brands now - Orange gives me what I want!

I had a look at the Blackstar Fly 3, the cable on the rear of the 103 which connects into the 3 is indeed an ethernet/networking cable.
I love the look of the Orange Mini Crush, definitely on my wishlist.

The Blackstar Fly 3 amp I have sounds surprisingly good when close mic'd and used to record a guitar track. It's just as "serious" of an amp as a normal-scale rig and it's 100% usable. That really impresses me, and I'm getting pretty fascinated with mini amps now. I think I want that Orange 3-watt mini, especially since with it, I could use it with a regular sized speaker cab. I mostly record at home, so I realize the 50 and 100 watt tube amps I've got are overkill...although I love my Bugeras 1960, Marshall Origin 50 head, and my Peavey 6505 head and my couple of cabs, so I can't say I'm sorry I have them, lol, but the easyness of just grabbing a tiny amp to mic appeals to my laziness, lol. Plus since I live in Texas, I just keep my tube amps in hibernation during summer, because tube amps are space heaters, and when we're talking about outdoor temps touching close to 110°F, our AC can only keep a space lukewarm, and I only use my solid state amps then. That Orange 3-watt would be a gas to have... I've pretty much decided to order one now.

Have you ever experienced the noise issues like in this video?

It's not a noise problem, it's a feature made for noise rock enthusiasts.

@@Da_Publick ..you were expecting it to sound good with like a 3" speaker. LMAO. Plug it into a cabinet to sound good or use headphones.

@@iancurrie8844 The Blackstar Fly 3 has a 3" speaker, and it sounds great by itself. The fact that it has an extension cabinet is an extra, not a necessity.
