Loved the 4x400s, but when I see EVERY team setting a National record, I'm thinking track surface. Rai Benjamin's relay IQ is off the charts! He measured it precisely. Just think we almost capped off the Olympics with two World Records! Thank you for the great coverage.
Everybody said it was a fast track, and outside of the rainy events, it proved true. And shout out to Shamier Little and Vernon Norwood, neither of whom qualified at Trials yet were selected for their relay pools. Man, they came up BIG TIME.
Letsile Tebogo is a 100,200,300, & 400 runner. He can do it all at the highest level. 9.86, 19.46, 30.69, 44.2 and a 43.04 split. All at only 21yrs old. Tebogo is the Greatest overall Sprinter Ever in History in my opinion! WR in the 300 already (faster than Bolt). His 44.2 run includes easing up at the end! He'll improve in every event. Again He's only 21yrs old! Bolt didn't run 400 barely. That's why I'm giving the edge to Letsile. Bolt has 2 individual WR and Tebogo has 1 WR already. I believe he'll own the 400WR in a year or two. Then he'll get the 200 WR in 3yrs or less. All he has to do is stay healthy. Ok I'm done
In my opinion, the 4x400M is the most exciting race due to its difficulty and length giving time to see significant moves. That was an incredible set of anchor legs! I have to admit I was nervous....Tebogo is incredible, but there's something about those 400M hurdlers....they're cut from a different cloth! Amazing performance by Rai to hold him off! I was screaming at the TV as this went down! Norwood's leg was EXTREMELY impressive!
Proud of our boys! And the all our 4x400m Batswana atheletes are relatively young. 25,22,21 and 20. Hopefully they will all improve and be a force to reckon with in the next four years💪

A great way to end the track events. I can't believe how many amazing performances we've seen in the games and both 4x4's were up among the best events that we've seen. So many athletes have performed much better than I thought they could and so much young talent to look forward to in LA, not to mention the WC's between now and then.
Not relays, but big S/O to the 1500m GOAT Faith Kipyegon who 3-Peats at these Olympics like Ryan Crouser & Nafi Thiam 👏👏👏 Tebogo splitting 43.04 with 3 100m rounds, 3 200m rounds & 4x4 semi in his legs was INSANE, 3rd leg was the difference-maker with Deadmon's 43.54 to Pesela's 43.80! S/O MHS's 43.09 split & Old Man Vern's 43.26 split after splitting 43.50 in the semi! Vern & Shamier brought it in all the relays they ran, been saying for the longest time that Shamier should be on the relays so glad to see it finally happen & pay off! GB's W4x4 1st leg 51.43 split was by far the slowest of the Top 4 teams which possibly cost them the Silver Medal in the battle with NED & IRL behind USA's procession that had Sydney splitting a ridiculous 47.71 on 2nd leg. We need a USA/EUR Ryder Cup style 4x4 race that has the likes of Femke, Adeleke, Kaczmarek & Anning; MHS, Dobson, Doom & Ingvaldsen vs the very best US Team! GB's Dobson doesn't get his flowers as someone who just moved up FT to the 400m from the 200m this yr & immediately runs a number of low-to-mid 44s & keeps splitting low-to-mid 43s for fun!

This is the first time in a long while that I have witnessed a perfect performance in the 4x400 meter relay. Anderson, I loved how you analyzed the timing of the fastest three teams. During the 2024 World Athletics Relays in Nassau, Bahamas, I saw firsthand what Botswana was capable of, recognizing they would be a formidable opponent in the future. It was like watching hungry runners tirelessly searching for prey. If the U.S. had raced head-to-head with Botswana at these games, they would have experienced their full intensity. Botswana may have calculated the brilliance of Raj Benjamin, but they had no idea what they were going to get. He was determined not to lose, even though it was a close call. Botswana brought excitement to the event that we haven't seen in a while. We also cannot overlook Great Britain, who were ready to seize the opportunity if the U.S. faltered. Quincy Hall could have been a factor; it would have been interesting to see him in the mix, especially in the first leg. All the legs performed well, but a special shout-out goes to Vernon Norwood, who continues to push his limits. While he narrowly missed making the men's open 400, I hope the 32-year-old can take some well-earned rest and aim for 2028. Another rising star to watch is Chris Bailey, who is expected to run 43-second lows in a relay by 2025. Bryce Deadmon was quite impressive throughout the relays, showing exactly why he deserved his spot on the team. Another interesting dynamic is the possibility of the World Championships being held every year starting in 2025, which could help athletes like Bailey and Norwood gain momentum from this annual event. In the end, what Team USA achieved at the Olympics this year was unprecedented. Tebogo is a naturally gifted and highly talented speedster, he has speed built into his DNA and endurance too which is a big plus for him like bolt and Sidney McLaughlin he is a natural talent with so much speed in his legs. People like that often go on to dominate their sport. Tebogo can literally run everything from 100 to 800 metres and win If he wants to, so he’s a very rare talent. Well done to him and at a very young age.
Tebogo can run 9.7 in the 100ms the has good start and top speed only thing lack with his acceleration...he needs an acceleration coach so as he reaches top speed early that what guys like Kishane,Noah,Seville have been doing ACCELERATION at 50m!
Sydney on the 2nd leg was very tactically astute. She would've ran past anyone if she got the baton behind them, but for America's strategy to work perfectly it needed a strong 1st leg to put Sydney in the lead. Shamier did that expertly!
What a way to close the meet..both relays were sooooo freaking fast and if these countries maintain these quartets we may see new world records for both men and women next season

Outstanding work this past week...as you always do. In addition, I for one stand corrected on your prior posting of world record chances on 4x4 relays. I previously believed that it could happen only with true competition support. I was wrong...as was proven directly with the women's performance. Though as I posted elsewhere, what might've happened IF the US ladies weren't traveling alone at that level and pace. Thanks again for the great coverage.
Walked Quincy Hall down???? Quincy Hall is a DAWG!!!! Mad respect, for how he gutted out that open 400 meter final!!!! Now, Quincy is the legendary one for what a walk down really looks like!!!!! Tebego came short!!!!!!! Despite only being behind Rai, by the slightest of margins during that exchange!!!! I think had Tebogo taken Benjamin, I’d say it was the greatest 4x400m relay ever. It was certainly one of the fastest. From a British standpoint, I’d have to rate the 1991 world championship 4x400 as the greatest I’ve seen for the way Kris Akabusi (another 400 hurdler) overtook the reigning 400 flat world champ, Antonio Pettrigrew, on the line when no-one thought he could do it.
Tebogo should take the 3rd space and the 3rd anchor when the third give him the botton he was cloest to benj , tebogo would give it team a longer lead that what usa give his team

Congrats to all winners..USA sprinters showed the world why they r no 1 in the world yet again in 400m relays. But gotta give it to Sydney, Vernon, shamier little and rai Benjamin. 49.5 from shamier little is unheard of these days for 1st leg. She should try to run 400m flat fr. Tho im a fan of matt hudson smith, have to say i don't care what the split times show, Vernon caught Matt Hudson smith and passed the baton first and that's what matters most, he won that 2nd leg.
The Botswanan Letsile Tebogo BEAT all the Men there and COMPLETED his 400 Meters in 43.04 Seconds. Though Ussain Record of about less than 40 Seconds is still UNBEATABLE. If Botswana can get 3 MORE Men that can run as fast as Letsile Tebogo or a bit FASTER ( like 41.0 Seconds ), Botswana will get the Gold in the NEXT 4, 8, 12 years UNLESS Jamaican Team comes up with 4 Men like Ussain Bolt.

I posted a comment, I didn't ask a question nor did I ask for feedback. Besides, my comment didn't state what mattered, I stated my opinion on them achieving something that hasn't happened in 36yrs. Not sure why either of you felt the need to add to MY OPINION
Splits can be very misleading because we all clearly saw Norwood catch the Silver medalist from Great Britain, yet the Great Britain's split is 43.09, which is almost as fast as Tobogo and Just under Rai Benjamin. If Norwood had a slip of 43.26, how is it that he actually caught the Silver Medlist? That's why I don't always put 100% of my faith in splits. Another thing is both Tobogo and Rai got their batons on the last leg at the exact same time, and Rai edged Tobogo out, so how can Rai have a split of 43.18 while Tobogo has a split of 43.03.
Rai was way ahead of Tebogo when he got the baton and Tebogo clearly closed the lead. Getting the baton at the same time doesn’t mean you got it at the same spot
Rai, got the baton first, by the slightest of margin!!!! Tebogo had enough time to overtake Rai, if he is the bad man that he is getting all these praises for!!!
If they put Noah on the mens 4x4 and he split 45s he would get FLAMED and rightfully. Gabby's in a similar situation she hasn't shown 400m form all year.
Quincy Hall just did a podcast saying Noah is a LOT faster at 400 than people think and probably splits 44 or faster. And that’s from the Olympic champ

Outstanding work this past week...as you always do. In addition, I for one stand corrected on your prior posting of world record chances on 4x4 relays.
I previously believed that it could happen only with true competition support. I was wrong...as was proven directly with the women's performance. Though as I posted elsewhere, what might've happened IF the US ladies weren't traveling alone at that level and pace.

I think had Tebogo taken Benjamin, I’d say it was the greatest 4x400m relay ever. It was certainly one of the fastest.
From a British standpoint, I’d have to rate the 1991 world championship 4x400 as the greatest I’ve seen for the way Kris Akabusi (another 400 hurdler) overtook the reigning 400 flat world champ, Antonio Pettrigrew, on the line when no-one thought he could do it.
Tebogo should take the 3rd space and the 3rd anchor when the third give him the botton he was cloest to benj , tebogo would give it team a longer lead that what usa give his team

Yeah I think I can see Tebogo leaving the 100 to concentrate on both the 200 and the 400. I hear that double is difficult to stick with but it seems he is ready!
Congrats to all winners..USA sprinters showed the world why they r no 1 in the world yet again in 400m relays. But gotta give it to Sydney, Vernon, shamier little and rai Benjamin. 49.5 from shamier little is unheard of these days for 1st leg. She should try to run 400m flat fr. Tho im a fan of matt hudson smith, have to say i don't care what the split times show, Vernon caught Matt Hudson smith and passed the baton first and that's what matters most, he won that 2nd leg.
The best sprinter in the world is Tebogo.

The Botswanan Letsile Tebogo BEAT all the Men there and COMPLETED his 400 Meters in 43.04 Seconds. Though Ussain Record of about less than 40 Seconds is still UNBEATABLE. If Botswana can get 3 MORE Men that can run as fast as Letsile Tebogo or a bit FASTER ( like 41.0 Seconds ), Botswana will get the Gold in the NEXT 4, 8, 12 years UNLESS Jamaican Team comes up with 4 Men like Ussain Bolt.
After Tebogo ran 30.69 in the 300m I’ve been saying he should move up to the 200/400 double like MJ.

Not blaming them, but if Gabby didn't stumble receiving the baton or if Alexis would've leaned at the line, the WR would've been broken
Literally none of that matters at all. Gabby delivered just like the rest of the relay and got an American record and 2nd fastest time in history.

I posted a comment, I didn't ask a question nor did I ask for feedback. Besides, my comment didn't state what mattered, I stated my opinion on them achieving something that hasn't happened in 36yrs. Not sure why either of you felt the need to add to MY OPINION
I didn’t want like the video because you were at 444 likes but I had to.
Splits can be very misleading because we all clearly saw Norwood catch the Silver medalist from Great Britain, yet the Great Britain's split is 43.09, which is almost as fast as Tobogo and Just under Rai Benjamin. If Norwood had a slip of 43.26, how is it that he actually caught the Silver Medlist? That's why I don't always put 100% of my faith in splits. Another thing is both Tobogo and Rai got their batons on the last leg at the exact same time, and Rai edged Tobogo out, so how can Rai have a split of 43.18 while Tobogo has a split of 43.03.
Rai was way ahead of Tebogo when he got the baton and Tebogo clearly closed the lead. Getting the baton at the same time doesn’t mean you got it at the same spot

She actually did. When she ran a 49.6 relay split at world relays. Which was the fastest of any American at world relays.
Quincy Hall just did a podcast saying Noah is a LOT faster at 400 than people think and probably splits 44 or faster. And that’s from the Olympic champ

Nobody wants to risk a copyright strike. NBC does not play around, especially when it's the Olympics or the World Championships. NBC will copyright strike, and even if it is fair use, it can often take time to rectify the situation.
