True but her failure to meet expectations in her primary event makes it just like Lyles so you technically can't call it the best in the Games for sure. But yes I was watching live and was shook when she came through in the final stretch. The even more amusing part was that it was 0.02 of the WR by the US in the rounds.
Can she be more aggressive in the start of her race? I don't know, she looked like she wasn't trying much in the start of her 4×400 anchor leg, while the other women were going hard from the beginning, even tho she caught them later. She intentionally fell back a bit and let the other runners pass her to make so she can pass them later on when the field was more strung out. She's relaxed and composed, but I think she can do with a little more aggression, especially attacking the race right from the gun.

She said after the race that she went out too fast (probably trying to keep up with Sydney) and crashed at around 300M. In general, her strength seems to be being able to keep up with (nearly) anyone at her normal pace and then have some extra at the end.
@@aristotlethedecent6675 that long and smooth stride also definitely helps.she covers so much ground with each stride as compared to other runners.i think if she works more on her strength and leg turnover, she can greatly improve.
His smooth effortless strides and efficiency is something to watch. All this guy needs is to stay focus and the sky is the limit. He is a national treasure and should be protected at all cost by his country.
the death of his mother has knocked a lot of the playfulness out of Tebogo and it was very evident in the Olympics where he had his serious face on, its still hard to believe how young he is and i can only imagine his times getting lower and lower as he matures, as for highlights i gotta go with Sydneys new world record in the 400mh and her utter demolishing of the competition in the 2nd leg of the 4x400m flat, she must have pulled at least 20m on 2nd in that first bend and just took more out the rest of the lap, its astonishing how versatile a runner she is from 100mh, 200m, 400m, 400mh, 4x100m and 4x400 she makes everyone else look pedestrian

For me, I just wish more big brands could rally behind Letsile Tebogo because he is a generational talent and he is mature beyond his age. Big brands should invest in him so that he can build a formidable team behind the scenes, similar to what they are doing in Jamaica. If Coach Dose and Tebogo can use a similar model to Maximising Velocity and Power (MVP) Track Club in Jamaica where money is not a hindrance, they will be unstoppable.
I am excited about Tebogo’s future. I doubt he can approach Bolt’s 9.58, but that 19.19 is possible, and if he commits to the 400m, I do believe he’ll be the first to run sub 43s. I wish him success!
There were so many individual mind blowing results but for me the most outstanding athlete was Sifan Hassan winning the Marathon especially with it being a tough course with long gruelling hill climbs. She’s a flat track runner and still learning the marathon and winning against the WR holder after achieving bronze medals in the 5k and 10k. Absolutely amazing.

I may be biased as a South African, but South Africa getting silver in the 4×100 men's relay was amazing, the commentators didn't even mention South africa during the race because they were the underdogs with 2 teenagers on the team.

It's the obvious answer, but the 100m final was probably the best race I've ever watched live. The anticipation, the different storylines of each athlete, the buildup, how close it was between ALL the athletes but especially the medalists, it had the fastest non-medalists of all time...all the way to the surprise ending of Lyles taking gold after coming back from 8th, AND being the first American to win the event in 20 years. That race is the perfect example of why we watch track and field.

This man is insanely great already and I can't wait to see what comes next for him. He is actively changing the sprinting world as we speak. Even bolt didn't have this effect in the same way until after his world records.
Tebogo has a strong potential to eclipse 19.19 and run like you mentioned here 43.50sec once he does this he probably won't move down to the 100m again ..

Tebogo has one of my favorite running forms of all time. He looks so light on his feet almost as if he is being slightly suspended by invisible wires. My other favorites are Allyson Felix and Asafa Powell.
I gotta give this to Sifan Hassan.what a phenomenal athlete. What makes her feats even more impressive is that the marathon course was a very tough one.if you watched the race, you'd know that the course had crazy elevation.
I really thought that Knighton was going to be the next best runner after Bolt, but I was wrong. Letsile is going to be here for a while and could challenge Blake’s 200m record in the future.
@TRP, another great video! One suggestion for the overall 1/2/3/400m calculation is that the 100m time should be multiplied by 4, 200m time x2, 300m x1.33. Then all added together. This will give equal weighting to the achievements in the shorter distances👍 For perspective, imagine comparing the achievements of athletes running the 100m and the marathon. Tebogo’s coach has done a great job with this prodigious talent, but I hope Tebogo can move to the US or Jamaica or even Europe to take him to the next level!
One of the best accomplishment, is also Nafi Thiam taking her third Gold medal in a row at heptathlon. .. It’s a multi-event, you can fail at so many points,.. and still, 3 times olympic champion..

If he goes to Jamaica for three months to work on his drive phase of his race, he'll be a monster. Van Neekerk spent some time training with Bolt in Jamaica. I think Letsile and his coach would benefit immensely from a knowledge exchange and that's what Glen Mills and Steven Francis are known for.
I am a former 800/1500 runner but love the 400 meters and the shorter sprints.For me Tebogo is probably the smoothest runner ever,as you know running is all relaxation his form is perfect no strain like a cat on hot thin roof😂 most importantly is his attitude if he wins or loses no big deal, does not put himself under too much pressure give him 2 years and the 200 record will go and if he trains for the 400 it should be in the region of 42.8 or less,the hundred is probably an impossible record 9.58 is beyond the reach of today's sprinters low 9.7s is achievable 9.6 will be difficult.Tebogo if he remains healthy is destined for greatness.
Sifan Hassans accomplishments are the greatest of this Olympics. She now has Gold medals in the 5000, 10,000, and the Marathon. She also has a Bronze in the 1500. He has the Olympic record in her very first Marathon and beat the current world record holder in the event.
Letsile Tebogo doesn't look like he can run fast and he doesn't look like he is running fast when he is running, which leads me to believe that he will improve a lot more in the coming years.

4. Rai splitting 43.13 after winning the 400m hurdles the day prior.
5. Sydney splitting 47.71 after only a day off a 400m hurdles WR
I had 1 same for me as well. No one else is even close to those 2.
Rai 43.13 spit is slow..usually need 42s split...for example 100m split 8s vs world record 9s

Tebogo has one of my favorite running forms of all time. He looks so light on his feet almost as if he is being slightly suspended by invisible wires. My other favorites are Allyson Felix and Asafa Powell.
He ran the 43.04 split with 7 rounds of running in his legs. 3 x 100m, 3 x 200m, and 1 x 400m (relay heat). Something else.

I gotta give this to Sifan Hassan.what a phenomenal athlete. What makes her feats even more impressive is that the marathon course was a very tough one.if you watched the race, you'd know that the course had crazy elevation.

@TRP, another great video! One suggestion for the overall 1/2/3/400m calculation is that the 100m time should be multiplied by 4, 200m time x2, 300m x1.33. Then all added together. This will give equal weighting to the achievements in the shorter distances👍
For perspective, imagine comparing the achievements of athletes running the 100m and the marathon.
Tebogo’s coach has done a great job with this prodigious talent, but I hope Tebogo can move to the US or Jamaica or even Europe to take him to the next level!
One of the best accomplishment, is also Nafi Thiam taking her third Gold medal in a row at heptathlon. .. It’s a multi-event, you can fail at so many points,.. and still, 3 times olympic champion..

Noah was just caught dancing in the club.🤔 Tebogo won Fair and square and in professional sports there's no excuses once u decide to compete. Tebogo is already almost to Legendary Status. A WR in the 300m, Gold Medal at Olympics in the 200m beating Lyles. 9.86 PR in the 100. And a 44.2 PR in the 400. All that at only 21yrs old. Can't wait to see what he does next!

If he goes to Jamaica for three months to work on his drive phase of his race, he'll be a monster. Van Neekerk spent some time training with Bolt in Jamaica. I think Letsile and his coach would benefit immensely from a knowledge exchange and that's what Glen Mills and Steven Francis are known for.

I am a former 800/1500 runner but love the 400 meters and the shorter sprints.For me Tebogo is probably the smoothest runner ever,as you know running is all relaxation his form is perfect no strain like a cat on hot thin roof😂 most importantly is his attitude if he wins or loses no big deal, does not put himself under too much pressure give him 2 years and the 200 record will go and if he trains for the 400 it should be in the region of 42.8 or less,the hundred is probably an impossible record 9.58 is beyond the reach of today's sprinters low 9.7s is achievable 9.6 will be difficult.Tebogo if he remains healthy is destined for greatness.

Tebogo seems to have an effortless, gliding running style and a top gear in reserve that no one else has. I see him breaking the 200m and 400m WRs. He eased up crossing the line in the 200 and his 4x400 split was epic.

Why hasn’t anyone commented on Arshad Nadeem’s mammoth 92.97 metre throw in the javelin to break the OR?!? This guy comes from a country that would have hardly even realised that the Olympics was happening and with the minimal, non-ideal training facilities, he comes in and breaks the OR on the biggest world stage.
