I was pretty blown away not just by Allyson's story, but the way she tells it. It's interesting to think about her in the context of other superstar athletes who made big, sometimes risky, decisions. She opted to have her brother represent her and broke away from the established agencies, just like LeBron James did with Rich Paul. Lots to explore here with a new generation of outspoken athletes taking more control of their own off-field, off-court, off-track destiny.
this women is the most accomplished female track and field athlete ever 7 Olympic gold medals, what a women Allyson felix
Love this lady. Champion!
As a Jamaican I miss you competing but then again I am relieve you retire miss you champion
Awesome athlete on & off the field! There’re things I wasn’t aware of before this interview! I know she’ll be just as successful now as she was an athlete!
I ordered 3 pairs for women in my family just because Allyson Felix is somebody who represented her country with honour and always carried herself with the utmost pride and dignity who did it the right way.
So inspiring , graceful, athlete,
She’s a living legend off and on the track. Thanks to her Nike now have back pedal and changed their whole trajectory of manipulating women in sports, giving them maternity compensation. I am happy her brand is getting bigger and more recognized. Congratulations Ms. Felix❤❤❤
She is my favorite athlete, I Proudly support her journey in Field and Track❤❤📌🌹
One Love, from this Jamaican Miss Allyson!
Awesome interview 👏🏾
She should have a men’s shoe offering. Don’t leave money on the table Allyson
We need to reform running into a financially lucrative career so that runners don’t have to solely depend on shoe companies for salaries and sponsors. Unfortunately running bosses want to preserve its culture even when it keeps the runners so broke.
So inspiring !! thanks for this
My favorite athlete of alll time
Allison Felix is the most accomplished and the greatest athlete in our lifetime!! A true icon and a wonder woman !!
When she said abouy Osaka, the issue of abortion popped in my mind, on how it just only focuses on being successful for women
What is the name of the Allyson Felix Runner shoe;she and Wes created and where to purchase??
Brilliant!!
Bananas level mindset in Allyson Felix.
I love everything Allyson represents! She is the best of America.
this woman is a legend
A truly CLEAN talented athlete.
Super inspiring!!!
Love you hun
Allyson Felix, I love you. You truly inspire others.
What type of pregnancy is she describing? and what are the complications with the maternity ward that she is describing? I never had any kids & I don't understand her lingo.
Nike routinely undervalues athletes in the less popular sports - women, men...makes no difference. That's not exactly a shocker. Look at their parting ways with Roger Federer in 2018 after 20 years rather than pay him on the same scale as someone like LeBron James. They repeatedly shoot themselves in the foot - pun intneded.
👍
Why that Allyson Felix .although that she's Actually sharing same exact birthday, same day, and born in the same year (November 18,1985) like her including with My family member of the Bushes (Larry "Scorpio" W.Drummer, Jr.), Amber Marie Jackson Busby (Maternal cousin of a McIntyre, Georgia, USA native former beauty pageant, reality star,2023 graduate of the Warriors (WCHS of Irwinton,GA, USA) and now attended college is Alana Frances " Honey Boo Boo" Thompson/only female of Joanne "Doe Doe" Shannon/mom of one today), Bart Kwan, Christian Siriano, Adriaan Strauss ,Hiromi Miyake ,Shannon Morse,Nabila Syakieb,Curtis Grimes,Bastien Salabanzi, Johnny Gates, Nadine Nyadjo , Anderson Boyd,Melanie Behringer ,MELODY GERSBACH, Alexander Gabrielsen,KELLY YUAN-CHUNG MA (daughter of Ma Ying-jeou),Sofia Österborg Wiklund,Amanda Sørensen ,Anna Reymer,Mike Gibson (American Football),Rex Goudie,Marika Minami,Brandon Bryant (whistleblower), Bruce Billings, Lindsey Nelson, Melvin King, and Yuka Okazaki
That’s it? That’s the big deal? she starts a shoe company😂
The focus on black women athletes rather than women athletes is quite shameful and that's kind of racism. Should have focused on women athletes as they also feel the same way
It is. But is also appropriate to consider that white women will get a deal with Nike. Not due to racism but because they have a large audience.
Amy, it’s obvious you haven’t experienced racism! Anyway, do a little research on the extensive study on Black women (done by Whites) and the medical field, and you’ll find out how racism is practiced in the medical field! But I’m not going to waste my time on ignorance. Allyson Felix is a role model both and off the field!! Intelligent thinking people will see the value of what she’s saying and doing, both Black, White, and ALL women!!❤
I see first hand the inequalities in black maternal care.😢 . I see where 90% of the bad outcomes were for black babies for a period of time even though black patients make up 1% of births. This is sad . Thankfully more eyes are open to this and we are making strategic changes to make things better. Overall the staff is not ‘racist’ maybe , but they have ingrained biases that impact the decisions they make and sadly they don’t realize that.
