    I just wanted you to know that I use your video pretty much every week with my easiyo. Makes such great yoghurt. Just wanted to say thank you for teaching me how to do this so I don't have to buy the little sachets anymore.

    Bought easiyo on a special deal today after watching this video and almost immediately started yoghurt making as per the video. Can't wait how it turns out tomorrow :)

    Hi there, does the yoghurt still contain all the macrobiotics doing it this way?

    Hey can I ask how much water you actually added all up? I don’t have the easiyo jar, but I have the packet mix and a glass jar and a thermos to keep it warm in

    • @thesunnysidehomestead6392
      @thesunnysidehomestead6392  4 года назад +1

      I added 1L of water but it would work with any amount just adjust the time to your preferred tangy flavour - minimum 12 hours though

      The easyo packet makes 1kg, so I’d add enough water to make up that weight. Filtered water, free from chlorine will help the probiotic flora flourish.

    Need (full cream milk?)or can just use milk powder??

    • @thesunnysidehomestead6392
      @thesunnysidehomestead6392  4 года назад

      I use full cream milk powder but if you’re going to use full cream milk you will need to heat it up to just before boiling before you use it

    How would you go about adding flavour to the yogurt? Would you just blend some strawberries for example and add that?

      I’ve had an easily for 10+ years - you can add fruit via fresh, compote, jam even - you can sieve it and make labneh cheese and add chopped herbs, garlic etc. There’s a really good Lebanese woman who shows how to do labneh balls in oil that keeps for ages, she’s on here as well. I’m going to try this trick but dried milk has gone up through the roof and l wonder if the culture weakens over time though.

    What kind of yogurt should I have to use with the milk powder?

    I tried this and it only got partially clumpy. I followed your instructions, even have the same milk powder by happy coincidence. Do you think I need to reheat the water inside the yoghurt maker? Current indoor temp atm is like 18c which ain't that great lol

      I've had real issues since the temperatures have dropped. Yes, put a new batch of hot water.

      I wrap my yoghurt maker in one of those dish drainer cloths from Aldi. Two in a pack. Secure with an elastic band or a peg. I'm in UK and we don't heat our small kitchen so wrapping the yoghurt maker helps.

    what if i mix milk powder in lukewarm water and add yoghurt starter and keep it aside for 10 to 12 hours

    • @thesunnysidehomestead6392
      @thesunnysidehomestead6392  4 года назад

      Lukewarm water will help the bacteria get started but make sure you have at least a tablespoon of old yoghurt in there with it.

    Hello! Do you need to heat the milk first? Or just room temp? Ive ordered my easiyo already. Excited to use it!!

    • @thesunnysidehomestead6392
      @thesunnysidehomestead6392  4 года назад +2

      No need to heat the milk. If you’re using fresh milk you will need to heat it but powdered milk is fine to use without heating! Super easy! Enjoy making it!
