Try this yogurt recipe.
In this video, I will be showing you how to make perfect yogurt with powdered milk
Yogurt is a very rich milk drink. Full of protein and calcium. It's a probiotic, introducing the right type of bacteria to the body system.
Great for the entire family.
It can be eaten plain or sweetened. It can be made into Greek yoghurt.
It can be blended with fruits while making smoothie.
Ingredients
Milk
Water
Plain yoghurt
To make yogurt at home , I first mixed powdered and water, then heated up the liquid solution ( milk), After heating, allow the milk to cool to warm temperature. Mix in the culture (store bought plain yogurt,) pour mixture in a container, tightly cover the container and place about 2 hand towels or blanket over the container. Allow it to sit undisturbed between 6-10 hours for fermentation to take place.
The longer it stays, the more fermented or sour it becomes.
To stop/slow fermentation put in the fridge once the yogurt is set.

Thank you sweetheart for this video. For your information, you don't need to buy yoghurt for the culture. Otherwise what's the point of making yoghurt at home. Just add a spoon of white vinegar or a table spoon of fresh lemon.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for the information.
Would definitely show this to madam. Thanks for this nourishing goodness! 👏🏾

Can d cultur be preserved
Yes please you can use any powdered milk of your choice.
For the culture, I used already made yoghurt. Allow it to cool down completely (to room temperature).
Then scoop or pour into your lukewarm milk.
I hope this will help.
Thank u so much ma,will try and share my experience

@Ezekiel Darian You are welcome :D
Nice one, can it be stored in the freezer after I have gotten my result and how long can it be stored?
Thank youuuuuu
You are welcome
Nice video.. is that a measuring cup?
😊
That was the cup I measured with
Am in Nigeria pls where can I buy the powdered milk.
In the market my dear
How many days u can keep
In the fridge?
I usually consume mine within 5 days in the fridge, however I do not mix in sugar in the yoghurt. I only add to the one served to be taken in a short while.
But, the big batch in the fridge, I refrigerate without sugar, this I believe prevents it from going bad.
Was the environment warm? I heard yoghurt needs a warm environment?
1.The weather was not cold.
2.the milk was warm and the plate was covered with 2 napkins.
🙏
Thanks so much for watching
Pls wat is the name of the milk
You can use any full cream powdered milk which you can find around you.
Hello. How did you achieve the creamy consistency? I used the milk powder to create the yogurt but it turned out to have a grainy texture. Would you be able to advise please? and did you use Skim or full cream milk powder?
I used full cream powdered milk.
I took my time to whisk it so as to totally dissolve every lump.
What type of yoghurt culture did you use?
@@gratefullygrace9896 I used the previous batch of yogurt to create the current batch (L Acidophilus). Currently, using skim milk powdered with water, then lastly adding a cup of UHT full cream milk. Will try again and let you know if its better this time.
OK, after heating up the dissolved milk, was there any thin film on top of the yoghurt?
I'm just trying to guess what could make it grainy.
That was my first time making yogurt with milk powder. I just put the milk powder into a pot of boiling water. I know this is the wrong method, until I found your video. I have made another batch of yogurt this time with your recipe and only modifying it by adding the last cup with milk instead of water to make it thicker. Hopefully, it will turn out better. I will continue to experiment until I get it right (creamy and smooth yogurt) :)
😁
Follow my recipe. Follow the measurement I used.
When you chill it the consistency should be really thick.
All the best.
✅✅🙂
Thanks a lot
Is it cold water or warm
Dissolve with half cup of room temperature water.
But you can also use hot water it does not matter.
What is the total water measurement?
Pls
2 cups of water to a cup of powdered milk.
Meaning the same cup you used in measuring the milk is the same cup you will use in measuring the water (this will ensure that you get the same end result as mine)
Please, make it and tell me how it turned out 🙏
Thanks
using store bought yogurt as your starter is not homemade!
