  • Hello people,
I found a website that shows how to use the Easiyo system to make yoghurt without buying the Easiyo satchet.
    Check it out here
    sustainablesuburbia.net/how-t...
I am experimenting with a different style of video with this one, be honest, let me know what you think.
    Have a beautiful day

So I’m not remembering it incorrectly. I used an EasiYo for years and I was certain I used cold water. Today I did all the same ingredients but put them in a glass container and into the instant pot for 8 hours and it came out as slop. Maybe the water level in the instant pot wasn’t high enough. My culture had been frozen too so maybe that was a factor. I shall keep fiddling until I get it right. I just don’t want to mess around with boiling then cooling the milk. It shouldn’t be necessary with powdered milk.

I've never used an instant pot Monique but have heard that they are useful for yoghurt, I hope you find the trick that works. Powdered milk is great when you don't want to heat and cool the milk. Thanks for watching 🙂

@@raleighsbudgetlife7162 yes I see lots of videos of people doing it, but mine sure didn’t look like theirs! 😂😂😂 Part of the point of buying an instant pot was so that I could make yoghurt so I’ll figure it out. I’ll be drinking my yoghurt rather than eating it until then!

I put a yoghurt question on your oats page - Sorry Rosina

You are able to use your new yoghurt that you made to start your next batch of yoghurt. This can be done over and over again.
You can also freeze your store bought yoghurt and use that when you make a new batch. The yoghurt cultures shouldn't die off from freezing. If the store bought yoghurt has been frozen for a long time, just use more of it in case some cultures have been lost.
Thanks for the question Rosina, I'll see what other money saving ideas I can share.

Hi, I got a question, was the water you mixed with the powder chlorinated tap water? I tried the first time, but it didn't set to yoghurt. I'm not sure maybe because I used chlorinated water, or I left it in a place a bit too cold.

Hello, yes it was chlorinated tap water. You are probably right about it being left in a cool place. You could try wrapping it up in towels and possibly sticking it in a cupboard?
When I filmed this, I was living in a hot climate. Good luck.
