I really enjoy watching your "simple" carvings. Actually that is more of the type of carving I enjoy doing. Thanks for taking the time share your skills, I always learn something from each videos. The cut you make from the nose to the eye, the curving slice is one I'll be trying. You are an amazing artist and it really shows that you enjoy what you do which is very important.
I really enjoy the simplicity in your carving. No stress in making your cuts. Your calm chats are real inviting. I will visit your channel often. Thank you, Alec.
Cool to see you try out a new knife! I like to call knives "knifes" in honor of the late Stefan Wolf, a fella on RUclips that helped spark my passion for sharpening.
What I find most interesting is seeing you use a straight knife blade to make cuts I normally make with gouges and v tools. Extremely useful. Thank you!
Love ur videos if only I found you sooner. Somewhat beginner carver but studying your videos for now but may def consider your lessons if I start carving again soon. ❤ because I need lessons/videos starting from plane to greater detailed characters/ wood spirits ect on to finishing with again details. Luv ur work
I never push sideways or use my knife to pry chips out. Make a second cut and sever the chip completely and it will fall out. Your knife will stay sharp longer. It's a hard habit to break but it's worth it.
awesome carving - thank you....fun fact: most mountain men/fur traders tried to be clean shaven in order to get a native wife - Native people hated facial hair, Native people plucked every hair off their chins and lips - you will hardly see a Native man with facial hair in old photographs...yes, I know. The movies.
Thanks again everyone for joining! I don't take it for granted! Have a Merry Christmas! Thanks again to Matt from Deep Holler for the great Knife!

Are you guys that post your lessons on line generally artistic to begin with? Or good with your hands in general?
