Thanks again everyone for joining! I don't take it for granted! Have a Merry Christmas! Thanks again to Matt from Deep Holler for the great Knife!
I really enjoy watching your "simple" carvings. Actually that is more of the type of carving I enjoy doing. Thanks for taking the time share your skills, I always learn something from each videos. The cut you make from the nose to the eye, the curving slice is one I'll be trying. You are an amazing artist and it really shows that you enjoy what you do which is very important.
Thank you so much Ken!
Cool to see you try out a new knife! I like to call knives "knifes" in honor of the late Stefan Wolf, a fella on RUclips that helped spark my passion for sharpening.
I really enjoy the simplicity in your carving. No stress in making your cuts. Your calm chats are real inviting. I will visit your channel often. Thank you, Alec.
😊
Thanks so much! Appreciate you taking the time to encourage!
Wonderful lesson and Merry Christmas to all.
What I find most interesting is seeing you use a straight knife blade to make cuts I normally make with gouges and v tools. Extremely useful. Thank you!
Glad to hear!! Thanks for watching
Bathing in a mountain stream, oh yeah! Great carving Alec. Thank you for the lesson.

Thank you very much. I sure hope to try some of these. When I get a chance f
Please do! Thanksn
I never push sideways or use my knife to pry chips out. Make a second cut and sever the chip completely and it will fall out. Your knife will stay sharp longer. It's a hard habit to break but it's worth it.
Good tip! Thanks!
Dang--You make it look so easy. It stays easy till i get the knife in my hand.
Thanks! You got it!
TopAlec!
awesome carving - thank you....fun fact: most mountain men/fur traders tried to be clean shaven in order to get a native wife - Native people hated facial hair, Native people plucked every hair off their chins and lips - you will hardly see a Native man with facial hair in old photographs...yes, I know. The movies.
Looks like the guy with arnold on the cooker scene!!!?
I murdered my thumb trying to carve this with my pocket knife but it sorta worked out. Didn’t do too bad for my first one
Glad to hear Caleb! Take care of that thumb!
Thanks! Enjoy all the great tutorials. Was wondering if that DHK knife is 1.5 or 2".
Thanks so much Scott for the contribution! It is a 1.5" knife
Boa noite. Aonde comprar essas facas q vc está trabalhando ? Obrigado.
