I don't think there's any real way to FORCE yourself to write and be creative unless there's major deadlines or drugs (!?) involved. You can sometimes force yourself to do different kinds of work, but mental stuff is really, really quite different. I struggle with it myself And I'm in Vancouver Canada where we had 14c yesterday. It's melting the snow we rely on for our water supply in the Summer when it is supposed to slowly melt into the reservoirs. Vancouver never really gets all that cold, but this is just way too warm. Makes me anxious!
Yes, it's kinda scary - I just wish there was more we could do. :/ But thank you for the comment about the writing. It's nice to know I'm not the only one with that problem. :)
