Thanks for making this video. I have a GOXLR and was wondering the same thing as I have a Shure 7B and mostly use the GOXLR for adjusting audio sources.
"Any time I bump into the thing it will automatically disconnect" This is exactly what led me here. The USB A port, which I have never damaged or even tugged the cable from, is so loose on this thing. I'm actually starting to wonder if it just came that way. That AND the fact that I can't play most multiplayer games with VoIP for more than like a half hour without turning into a staticy robot. But TC Helicon says that's not their fault.
I switched from the GoXLR to the Wave XLR and the Wave Link software is so much easier to deal with to set up the separate sources. And the Stream Deck + definitely seems like something you need to tweak over time but I think I’ll get the SD+ now too. Especially since the Go XLR, as soon as I started playing with EQ and compression and stuff it completely ruined my mic quality even after going back to default settings
Great video! I made the switch to the Wave XLR from the GoXLR a month before the StreamDeck+ came out. Once I got the SD+ it opened up my workflow so much. I have a similar setup to you but I have 1 page dedicated to outgoing audio to my stream and another page for my monitor mix. A third page is for my lights😊 I haven’t messed with the dial stacks yet, I’ll have to give them a go.
Yes I have the same exact issue, like if I touch my desk at all it will disconnect the go xlr and then the audio pauses, then I gotta reload the profile, just a hassle now. Is the wave xlr worth?
Hey Steve! This may be a bit of a loaded question, but would you consider a Stream Deck MK.2 as assistive technology? I'm currently trying to get the device approved in my school district and after a few google searches I stumbled upon your youtube channel! I'm not planning on using the device in a gaming scenario but rather in an education setting!
I'm in a similar position. I wanted to get the stream deck XL for the macro buttons... But then the knobs and screen on the plus seems great. With 4 channels I can definitely use it as an audio interface... But I have an XLR mic so I'd need an interface anyway so now I'm doubling up on things cluttering my desk. Yes I could get the wave xlr but that also has a dial and the ability to control audio levels... Just feels like I can't win. Suggestions would be helpful :)
I use a Presonus Revelator IO24 damn great piece of hardware. Biggest plus it has a controll app running on a tablet or phone. I can get now a Wave XLR for half price 2 month old. I love the VST plugins for the Wave. But for Dual PC the Lewitt is the way to go if I had the money
Bro, hello from Serbia from Russian content creators Awesome video, a lot of useful info But for god sake get rid of the music. You can use it in the intro session or b-rolls. But I want to hear what YOU say, not the NoCopyright_Beats
Glad to hear I’m not the only one having the slight bump problem with the goxlr mini

Audio editor here. Your voice sounds perfect!
Great technical and informative video Steve. Interested how you like the setup after some time using it.
Great work. New to streaming and needed some guidance on audio mixers. So clear and learned so much! Keep up the great job !

Thanks Steve! I was considering this exact setup with my SM7B ❤

GoXLR paired with the Stream Deck+ to unlock Wave Link, ultimate control 😊

Thanks so much for this video! You answered some questions I had not thought to ask yet.
this is exactly! what i searched for and I'm annoyed too, with the bumping-dicsonnect thing XD
Thank you for your work

Same. What did you go with?
Great video Stave, thanks for the informative review!
Great video I'm curious though. You will loose the tuning on the goxlr like the EQ?
hey steve great video, is it possible to share your mic settings?
what mic and interface are you using now in 2024?
I can hook up 3 audio devices at once with my goxlr the pc the mac and the ps5 or switch, how could i do the same with something like this?
Imo using stream deck + for audio is unnecessarily complicated. I would do Go Xlr for audio and Streamdeck+ for lights + scenes etc
Hey man, is the song ur using in here copyright free? If so can you tell me the name of it? Thanks dude!

How to stack Monitoring and Streaming source on just one knob, like u do ?
Is this on a dual pc setup?
Can you plug a headset into this?
Into the wave XLR yes Stream Deck + no
