      I don't have a Plus (I have regular deck and wave mic) but doing some research on what is possible with a Plus and a different mic. I use Voice Chat channel for listening to all my discord and in game VCs. So that makes sense to me for having the mic on aux or something else

So when you watch I talk about how my audio interface has the ability to mix my mic with what is going out in my usb mix. Hello,
    After having 2 extensive conversations with Elgato tech support, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the results. I have the Elgato Prompter, Facecam Pro 4K , and the Stream Deck + and both Wavelink software and OBS and used the Black Edition of the Blue Yeti. Despite the Elgato plug ins 4 Wavelink software to control clipping and eliminate background noise, the video looked like i had AC on (which I did not). I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated. I have no idea what to do.

      Leonard that's my Grandfathers name...watch this video I did with the blue yeti. The free noise reduction worked great. This stuff takes time to learn. I've spent hours and hours teaching myself. The other vst I've paid for like 30 bucks is the simple and effective NS1 pluggin. It works well and is easy to us. The free one works well too just a little less control. One other thing is test test test....this way you don't record for nothing. So I'm a bit late to this, but i got the stream deck+ and im using it with my Revelator IO24. The audio interface has hardware DSP and virtual channels or loopback mixes.
    The DSP seems to work fine still running through AUX2 (i think) - is the routing software pointless given i have loopback channels already??

    • @CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan
      @CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan  Год назад +1

      So when the revelator io24 came out it was OK on paper but the mic preamps are to noisy for me. The wave link routing is more advanced. I do like the revelators dsp options but I can do well with the vst's. Either way it's great we have more and more audio options that can do so much!! Thanks for watching.
      Also yes your dsp's will carry though in the wavelink routing.

  • @rostad89

    how do it set this up while using my goxlr? i want to controll everything on me streamdeck+ but still be able to use and hear my samples and voice effects trough my goxlr. The routing to get this set up is a nightmare cause the only output i can find from the goxlr in the wavelink list is the goxlr chat channel cause the Broadcast stream mix (that is the source from the goxlr in total) aint visible and nobody have made a video about it yet on youtube

    • @CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan
      @CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan  Год назад

      The streamdeck + just works as a volume control and will only work with what outputs are available. All this is new stuff. What I do know is I've seen PC 🖥 get confused by having both the GOXLR software and the wavelink software at the same time. So this may not work for what you want. Me personally I'd rather have better preamps and dynamic range with my audio interface then voice effects. So sometimes you have to choose what is a must have. Thanks for your comment.

    It lets you manage Windows inputs with WaveLink, but not windows outputs. So if I have an interface that's already doing the submixes (i.e. MOTU or RME) and I just want to control the gain on the individual audio devices, I can't seem to do so with WaveLink. Is there any way to accomplish this?

    • @CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan
      @CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan  Год назад

      I'm not sure I'm following. Ok I have a interface that controls submixes also but if that same device does not give you options to route with virtual channels what your trying to accomplish may be not possible.
      When you say control the gain on individual devices. You mean the device your using like the ssl I'm using??? I can set the gain on the device and then only control the the percentage of what I set from the input I set in wavekink. It's confusing when we aren't face to face lol

    • @PeanutCupProductions
      @PeanutCupProductions Год назад +1

      @@CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan I think you got it! So like MOTU and RME give you those virtual devices that show up in Windows as outs (much like what ElGato does with the Chat/Music/Aux channels). For example MOTU has Line 3-4, 5-6, 7-8. I would have liked the Streamdeck+ to assign and control the gain on those virtual audio devices, because I've already setup my submixes (and post fader effects like compression etc) inside the MOTU using those channels.

    • @CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan
      @CoffeeTalkandTechJohnRyan  Год назад +1

      OK I just checked myself with my other audio interface same here I don't get the 1&2 3&4 ect channels I instead get a full mix my mix A and mix B my loopback and mic 1 or mic 2. Either way it seems like it depends on what the audio interface puts out and what wavelink sees. So yep this is all new data people will have to test for themselves. In my situation though I'm extremely happy with the results. Thanks for the comments this is all great information 👍
