In the past two months, I’ve been making anywhere from $600-$1200 per vehicle sold. Bad days I generally sell around 5-6 vehicles a day. Good days, I can knock out about 12-15.
@@ugabuga1361 Yes 5-6 a day. Now people are buying like crazy and on a bad day, I sell 8-9 vehicles a day. Our dealership has a hard time keeping inventory. You can tell by my truck what brand I work for.
So it depends, there is a lot that goes into it beyond what most people think. The difference between what the trade value is and what they sell for is not the direct profit.
@NeilBlalock true, but I just know by experience, I've trade in a car and gotten 7k then it was put in the lot for 13500. I've sold trade and bought over 150 cars in my life and I seen this numerous times, now I'm getting into officially become an actual salesman/bdc agent to see the scene from the inside. Wow this was great video i been wanting to become a car sales men but how were you able to make 6 figure selling cars and is that uncommon btw i live in Alabama and would that affect the amount of money i will make.
it wouldn't matter the state you live in. If you have a decent pay plan and its a solid dealership thats been around and you put in lots of effort and time into learning sales and staying focused everytime you come to work then 6 figures will be very attainable for you

@@FythShadow what I did was fill out the application and then followed up every other day until I got an interview. Sales managers are typically busy but if you can get to talk to one that day then that’s great
iam 44 and have been doing factory work for 26 years and ive been really wanting to get into car sales. i have a interview friday at our local used car lot that mostly sales used high end dodge. my question, is car sales good job for a family man
I believe so and here is why. I don't know what your current income is but I would assume you have consistent pay where you're at now. If you are able to budget accordingly throughout the year that's going to help you when you have slower months. Also, knowing that you have a family to provide for will put that fire in you to go out and hustle. I work with many people who provide for their families solely off of their car sales income. Just don't get fancy when you do have those higher paying months because you are going to need that extra money for cushion during slow months and it will help lift any financial stress. 600x5 is 3000, 3000x30 is 90k. You make 90k a month? And that only assumes the low end

If a dealer gives you 20k for your trade they are selling it for 29 or even 30😅

Thats way more rare than you think. Actually you very rare. Its usually about 4k more on average. Could be more or less.
