I gotta tell you 9 a month at a new dealership is pathetic. I was selling like 13 a month in tax season at a tiny used car lot most of them are sub-4k cars with an issue here or there so a lot of "I'll think about it" and lowballer customers. Some of the vets sell like 20 or 30, sometimes off-season. How hard can it be to sell a brand new car with a specified MSRP and warranty?
This guy does seem like he could sell ice to an eskimo. Very smooth.

The tidbits, yeah I learned a few things there and they were helpful ,,, but if you read them as he is talking then you loose track of the humor. You should pause or slow down the voice when they are on the screen.

I work at a new car dealership, as a service tech, not a salesman, but I’ve been there 5 years and I’ve never heard of a salesman selling 8 cars in a day. Not even close. Good job rabbit 👏

Thats cuz it doesnt happen, just like 90% of the shit on this channel.. You have any idea how fucking lomg the buying process would be for 6 brand new trucks? And yet he managed to solidify that deal in his first "hour and a half" at a dealership that is entirely new to him? He wouldnt even be on the sales floor in the first hour and a half as a self proclaimed inexperienced sales guy, let along be the only sales guy on the whole lot to approach the only big ticket customer they have.
And it’s was a fleet of cars 2 cars on day 1. Next day his son came and so it was 3 and he bought a fleet of 5 new work truck
Some Body i can’t vow for others. But this is very true actually. And apparently you haven’t worked in a dealership long or at all . They don’t hold your hand in straight commission car sales. Eat or be eaten. Hence the extreme high turnover in this field.
when i bought my 2015 toyota the salesman who sold me the car it was his 5th his name was all over the board he was very cool i would buy from him again

Oh so many memories from working in the car biz back in the day came pouring back while watching this! My most successful months were while I was pregnant. People just can't say no to a pregnant F&I "lady"! There weren't too many women in the business 27 years ago so customers trusted me more than my male counterparts but boy did that giant belly help out!
Being in the biz I'm sure you heard this before. But, a lady can sell when no man can!

He didn't want a black truck and only planned on buying 1, Rabbit used skills and experience he has gotten over the years to persuade someone that is set on not buying something to buy it lol. Then through him going to all the guys buildings and building a more personal relationship than any of the other employees could have because he went on his own route. In doing all this he managed to sell him many more cars in the process. Any of the other workers would have lost the sale or just sold 1 white truck. He got lucky for this to have happened on his first day but that's the only luck here. Him selling all the cars was skill.

I had a black Mustang and while it really did get dirty fast, those first few days after the wash, it just looked so beautiful. Weekly washes were a small price to pay. Mayve twice weekly if I got unlucky.
I always told the customers cars get equally dirty, but black is the only color that shines at night.

The funny thing about Rob and Ed to me as salesmen is that if I had to picture what a slick Ford salesman that slings 8 cars in a day looked like I'd picture exactly Rob - same voice and everything - and if I had to picture what a Lambo salesman looked like I'd picture exactly Ed with the same mannerisms and diction.

This is my 3rd or 4th time watching this. It doesn’t get old.
I'm no salesperson but this was a great story. I always seem to enjoy these stories despite no real connection to the automotive industry, but it is damn hard not to enjoy someone who clearly loves the job they do and does it well.
Vinwiki videos keep getting more and more entertaining as you start binge watching them one after other... I am so greatfull I stumbled upon such great RUclips channel which is for car people by car people... Keep up the good work guys

Love this story... I remember the owner at a new car dealership sent me to a black tie car show... Dealers only... I got HAMMERED drunk.next day I Showed up at the end of the Sat morning meeting and got my ass handed to me.. so I told him, in front of everyone that I'm gonna sell 3 cars today or I'll quit. And had no appointments.. sold my 3 cars and said I'm going home early today...which was a no-no.. and he said but you only grossed 20k today... I told him that I'll do better on Monday... Monday came and I had my own office.. BOO-YA

Love the double sale! First question you ask the spouse after doing your sales paperwork is 'alright, now what color are you getting?' and doggone it you'll sell a couple more a month that way!

That is the salesman story of all salesman stories right there. Being in the business before myself I can say that this man is a natural hustler and smooth talking too. 8 car sales sounds about right haha
