Be honest.
Don’t give stupid objections.
You can get a better deal by not playing games.
If you’re walking a car lot, you’re looking to buy.
Big tip. Don’t lie to the salesmen
I’ve had customers I took home $2500 off of think we were losing money on the deal and I’ve had $4000 losers think I got one over on them, a good deal is a state of mind. You can try to build rapport all you want, but if you can make them trust you, you can close them on the first pencil every time.

I’m impressed how the flow goes. I’ve had sales closing training years ago. Role playing really helps internalize your techniques. There are basic Q & A scripts which really one should master no matter which product you sell. Technique sells. Stories sell. ❤Your positive attitude projects your confidence in the product you’re selling.

Wow man... just wow... just started at the dealership, never sold cars before, was in customer service for 5 years, thought it’s kinda the same... nope it’s not! My dealership had no formal training I just shadowed people for like 2 days, no guidance, no explanation. I was thinking to quit, before this video. watching these videos for inspiration while i work my cold calling job. good flow is everything. know the subject matter like the back of your hand.
I'm a huge proponent of sales training and never shy to role play sales calls and objections. However most of these things are out of context of the sales process and have little more than entertainment and motivational value. The wisdom and winning move in sales is to stay True to the process from M&G, to rapport, to being genuinely interested in the customer and their challenges they are trying to solve, all the way to helping them close themselves by showing them that doing business with me solves their problem and improves quality of life. 3/5 times of following the process in order I have never even had objections. People literally felt heard, trusting and empowered to buy from me.

This is the andy elliott that helped me go from 10-12 car months to 22-30 car months at a small 80-100sale dealership with 12 guys.. outstanding word tracks and believing in yourself and that you are doing a disservice by letting them leave you for some other random salesman will drive you to transfer energy and emotion to the next level. Thats what I have taken from this guy, the modern stuff he posts only works on braindeads in a city 200-300/mo dealership but the confidence and willpower to sell is probably the best thing any salesman can take from this guy. Going into auto sales after 8 years spending time in the military , as a cop , and as a firefighter i have people skills to the point where all the places i interviewed with offered jobs on the spot. Your videos are great prep i find it helpful to roleplay my own answer before your student does. Mainly watching your videos to hear different objections I’ve never heard or used myself.
Haven’t started yet but GM / partner is the goal and I’m coming for necks they have no idea.

@@MegaHahndo 3 cars sold my first 20 days on the job i am enjoying it, absolutely a hustle / challenge but it has been fun i can see myself doing this for a long term career. The objections Andy and his crew uses are hit and miss i consider myself a confident individual but one thing that isn’t spoken of often is credit. monthly payments has been my number 1 objection. I’m not a magician that controls rates and i cannot magically make somebody’s payments 350 - 400 a month and trying to convince a consumer that 800 a month for a 35k car is worth it is extremely hard / borderline a waste of time. From the short time doing this I’ve learned most people have $150-200 of wiggle room in monthly payments any more then that is like talking to a brick wall.
@@MegaHahndo and those 3 cars were all walk ins / leads which impressed the GM of my particular dealership since usually the first few cars out the door go to friends or family.

id like to add our dealership will buy our clients food lunch or dinner once they're in the financial part. all they have to do is bring the most recent receipt and they'll get cash back for it. delivered or not anywhere they want. its not something we have the sellers do all the time but its there if they need to whip it out to feed starving kids or buyers.

Same here this isn’t my first sales job but it is my first in car sales. These guys have told my 0 about the cars we sell and pricing and stuff and the boss literally is having me sit outside waiting for me to speak to random people on the lot. Idk how much longer I can deal with this and I don’t know if this is maybe a different way of training the guy thinks will help me eventually or if this is a waste of my time

I love this video and would give his responses 8/10. Very good job, but always room for improvement. The "I promised another dealer down the road prompt stuck out for the one with the most room for improvement. If they made a promise they intend to keep, they would've never stepped foot on your lot. This goes back to what might be scaring them about the deal. there are plenty of polite and even funny ways to call them on their bs lie without creating a hostile conversation.

If I might make a suggestion, on the price is too high objection, try this:
A: The price is too high? (Say this with a genuine inquisitive upward inflection). This will trigger them to elaborate.
B: or say "I appreciate you sharing that concern with me. What makes you feel that the price is too high". This will signal to them that you appreciate their being honest with you and display the fact that you care about their thoughts on the matter. Remember, you are in the customer service business so its not about you, it's about them.
Try this:
Avoid the word "Why" at almost all costs. It triggers defensiveness and thus damage report. Instead, try replacing it with "what" or "how".
