Exact same boat here. Worked at dealership where I had 0 training outside of a veteran salesman letting me follow him but that’s really no training. I want to get back in but I have to say I’ve applied at multiple dealers and no response. It’s harder now to get in than it was last year I’ll say that.

Hey man, I’ve realized that there is a lot of “throwing to the wolves” when it comes to Car sales. Been doing it for years now and people come and go. Being “new” can be your biggest leverage while selling a car. I encourage you to give it a try again.

I’m a sales consultant for Chevrolet. My job isn’t to pressure you, the consumer, into making a poor financial decision. All I do is make the purchase and the investment make sense. The purchase becomes difficult due to outside factors such as having options to choose from, price comparisons, the general shopping around for a car/truck. What I do is make it make sense and then do my best to become a master entertainer while you wait for the process to wrap up. To all the young and upcoming sales consultants that are working hard to become the best possible versions of themselves in the workplace. Take my advice. Sell YOU. People buy from people they like. That’s the secret. Everything else is simple once the customer is sold on YOU. Be YOU! Good luck out there! To the customer, thank you for being the reason we grow and the reason we seek to improve our skills. We are sorry you can’t trust us. Some of us live to serve you. Don’t forget that.

You don’t close the deal on the lot, the trial close is to filter lay downs and garner a commitment before write up, if they give you an objection, offer to put it on paper and get the commitment at the table. You don’t need to be so strong armed because it will give customers the impression you are going to be trying to hard close them the entire time.
If they have other cars to look at, offer to put it on paper and get the write up, trade appraisal, credit app etc. If you asked good questions, did a good walk around and demo, you can close them once you get more commitment (ie, a write up).

Hilarious, I went to high school with Ian and Evan. I remember them fighting a drug dealer in a parking lot on Smoky Hill Road in Aurora. I think they drove their with Tyler McKenna. They were always starting stuff with ppl. Too funny to see them on here.

On the second one, I felt like the other guy won because you were portraying a guy who said "I never buy on the first time and I won't now" and the guy that won the challenge ended off by saying "you make the right decision with the right guy TODAY". I think this makes it a lot more likely for the prospect to leave rather than what the first guy had said. Am I wrong on this you are definitely a better salesman so you would know just my two cents.

Id be pissed if a salesman wanted me to do that so directly. I always preferred someone more amicable. I buy the salesman not the car. If you really want a car you shoot for that and the salesman almost does not matter. If you dont know which car to take then the salesman is the one you are buying. Youre buying someone that does not look like is bsing you and is willing to ask you hoq things are gping after he sold the car to you.

  • @seanlam9585

Where they work im positive is a dealership which whores out new cars at a crazy level. We have these down here in Florida. No hate! Well maybe a little. When you have this monopoly on most cars and you have a wave of customers coming through like a revolving door. Your gonna sell a shit load. Now how much gross is made per car deal? Its probably pay on volume. Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan. These brothers are smooth, but they sound like the Joe verde, Grant cardone, and Andy Elliots verbatim of car lingo. You need to cobfront them with actual hard objections. Their confidence is on point. Its difficult doing whatthey're doing. They are in front of their peers. Those are the hardest people to impress. Good job guys.
