Still salty about that one. Everyone loves Tywin even though he’s responsible for more than 20k people dying horrible deaths, not at war, but sleeping in their beds, or trapped in a keep. The truth is that no matter what Rob's claim for justice/vengeance, innocent common folk on both sides would die and the realm as whole would suffer greatly in a long war. The books are about the hubris of the few creating hell for the many and Tywin caring not for tradition and only for his house name made a choice that had the potential to preserve house lannister and save thousands that had nothing to do with Joffreys injustice or Rob's Justice.

I used to react to everything in first three seasons but after he died, I stopped reacting because what was the point. I also didn’t know if I should continue or not. He was smart, brave, leader, fighter and a lot of other things. Really disappointed he died. Also, the fact that he has zero POV in the books. Like seriously. I hope in the upcoming novels, GRRM would include flashbacks of Robb and his dire wolf because I want to see them together with their siblings. His dialogues were perfect too. The way he responded to everyone’s insults, had my jaw on the floor. I love the part where he says, ‘he was the watcher, hang him last so he can watch the rest of them dying.’ I was in LOVE with the mother and son relationship between Robb and Catelyn. They were so good. I hope we get more of their flashbacks in the books in the future. I feel like he was her favourite child. He was so powerful that even GRRM said that he had to kill him for the sake of the plot or else he would’ve won the war and there wouldn’t be more books or more seasons. He also regrets not giving him any POVs after he watched how good Richard played the character. He is my favourite character but I am happy that he died before season 7 and 8. They should’ve killed him in season 4 or 5 but anyway. If he was alive till the end of the show, I feel like the writers would’ve ruined him too like the rest of the characters. He was such a badass and he died that way. People cried when he died and he was remembered as the king in the north and his revenge was taken. I know he would’ve been an amazing ruler but I think the writers would’ve made him like Danny. They would’ve made him cruel and un honourable. I mean now everyone says only good stuff about him and the people in season 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, they all remembered him as the king in the north and he made his father proud. The only thing that saddens me is that we didn’t get scenes of him fighting in the battles he went. Like the battle he captured Jaime Lannister. It would’ve been so cool seeing them both fight. Also, we needed scenes of Grey wind and Robb fighting together and grey wind protecting him and robb taking care of him. They both started their journey together and they both died together in the same day. I was crying a lot after he died and I was crying whenever I saw an edit of him and catelyn. I was sobbing. I still am traumatised by the wolf’s head as if I was there and I saw it up close. I am surprised that Arya never talked about that later on because she was there and saw it.

    Ned stark was a wise man who can learn from the past. Robb Stark was a man of the present he knew what was in front of him and would conquer the moment his only downfall was that he couldn’t consider the future and decided that his happiness in the moment was more important than long-term prosperity. The red wedding was terrible but there was a good chance it wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t refuse his marriage. For a while it seem like he had enough momentum to win the whole thing.

      Walder demanded and had grounds for demanding the marriage be had immediately. Only after Robb broke the oath.

    Everyone should also remember that Robb was still just a teenager. He was doing his best, but he was also grieving and worried for his little sisters. His brothers in the North when he thought his best friend killed them, and his brother Jon, who was at the Wall and couldn't come help him even if he wanted too, because then Robb would be forced to execute Jon, for leaving his post. His mother should have stayed in the North and guarded it for him, but she was an idiot.
    Robb was alone. But God was he a pretty good tactician. If his people had just listened to him, and his mother not promised him to a lowly Frey bitch, he would have won the war.
    I still think Robb Stark should have taken his army and stormed the Twins, slaughtering all in his way for the Frey's denying him crossing. But I'm fairly ruthless.

    • @jde-jj1lu
      @jde-jj1lu 2 года назад +26

      And lose at least a third of his army? Make enemies of possible river land houses? Rob was doing well in open field tactics, the reason he kept his numbers up was cuz he wasn’t doing sieges, that’s a whole other board game that usually costs the attacks substantially more and not easy win. Not as easy as ‘storming’ a well build fortress. Say what you will about freys, but their home is well built to protect.

All I know is that they were super soft and couldn’t care less who was in the house. They were sleeping most of the time. They were 11 years old when someone broke in once at night, like 10PM. Both dogs nearly killed the dude. My grandma called the ambulance and without the call he would have died right there in the hall floor. She took pictures of the dogs, they were both pure red, no white to be seen. I’m telling you, dogs feel what you are feeling and will give their life to defend you. You just happen to never had been close to anything related to danger, which by the way is great. Don’t worry, your dog will show up if you really need him.
