It's like for a moment she got to be a bit of a kid again with Tyrion. He was so respectful of her youth.
Only in the show. In the books, he was far less noble, even at his best moments.
@@thatvalensteingirl valid point, but this IS the show we are talking about since this is a clip of the show. Show Tyrion was a standup dude 90% of the time.
@@thatvalensteingirlyeah lol. It's so weird seeing sansa being this innocent with Tyrion. In SoS she was cautious and grieving and only ever said repeat phrases to him like "if it pleases you" etc.

Not to ask you for like a full lore dump but what's an example of him treating her badly in the book? I'm really curious

Tyrion would be the perfect uncle for a girl like Sansa.
If I was Tyrion, I would have smashed on the wedding night.

@@its_mr_clutch7509 u r a fkin bolton
Despite them being married, they were more like strangers that eventually became best friends. Kinda like a sort of "The Breakfast Club" ish scenario.
Wasn't like that in the books, Sansa was cold to Tyrion past Jofferys death. Even when he saved her from Joffery she felt ashamed because the way he looked.
Honestly nobody roasted Tyrion better than Sansa's thoughts, she was Lannister level of savage but was never brave enough to speak her disgust out loud but Tyrion picked up on it and so he was distant and respectful
He was like her uncle and Shae her aunt they filled that whole her parent’s I wish they would have been a family together😔
@@aerystargaryenii2565 part of her disgust is because of how grotesque he looks. But show Tyrion is decent looking, so that goes some way to explain why the show is different.

These two were actually a good couple. They respected one another and even understood each other's pain.
@Mona Negi they should have become great friends. Tyrion seems he would be a great King. Too bad he wasn't given the chance to prove he could be a great ruler and great husband!!and
I loved them as a couple! They worked. In my head they hook up!
@@maribiddle5859 she's a kid, he's twice her age at least not to mention the fact she's a prisoner. Whole lot of nope
@@johnpixie oh yea, you are under the misconception that Westeros is earth 2023. It has only begun recently in our worlds history that a man doesn’t need to become established to marry a woman. And the young woman is chosen because they are young and able to be healthy enough to give birth to children. In a world beset with all kinds of terrible things that kill pregnant women and or child during pregnancy you want someone strong enough to handle it.
They would make a great match. She is kind hearted and he would respect her. They would grow to love each other and build winterfell into something great.
@@maribiddle5859 agreed. Those two hooked up and Jamie and brienne hooked up for me.
Shae in the background: 👁️👄👁️
I think she's thinking that he would make an excellent Father
@@Ocker3e never loved him and then lied about him wanting to kill Joffery because he wouldn't let her attend the wedding because Tywin said if he saw her again she would be hanged, then the night before Tyrions execution Cersei pays her off to sell out Tyrion and then she sleeps with Tywin.
Edit: The show makes her more likable as it does with all characters. In the books she purely goes off of profit and uses Tyrion. If he didn't kill her and Tywin she would have stayed in Lannister service which probably was her end goal all along. To be a fancy servant who wears jewelry and attends lords and ladies parties. And she probably would have been Cersies little bird.

Tyrion and Shae acting as surrogate guardians to Sansa is my favourite change from the book. I'm so sad they never followed up on it
It’s bad when the least toxic relationship is between a child and a dwarf
You could really see how young she was there, I know she was annoying at first but she was 12, and there I think she's only 13 or 14
“That’s the vulgar word for dung.”

She was never annoying. Last seasons she got obsessed with being Queen in the North

Tyrion was so kind to Sansa, even when she was completely naive. Her character had a great arc. She went from supplicant to a player well.
"Why sheep *shift*?"
I die laughing every time.
Because little baby bird Sansa thinking she was sating a dirty word is PRICELESS.
What saddens me that after Sansa telling that to Tyrion, she gets terrible news about something I can't quite remember, I'm not sure if it was the death of Robb
I guess it's not just death of Robb. She found out that they took his head off and put there his direwolfs...
death of robb and how they paraded his dead body with his direwolf's head and how they slit her mother's throat and tossed it in the river (something against tully culture)
She finds that out during the play Joffery puts on.
@@aerystargaryenii2565 No she found out before that
@Aerys Targaryen II lmao how would that make any sense? Joffrey taunted her with it immediately plus everyone knew what happened. No way she would make it to the wedding and not learn about it.
Let’s not forget, Shae also adored Sansa. She would protect that girl with her life.
Nah she was a hoe
And then later she goes ahead and rats out Sansa as the one who planned Jeffrey’s murder
Shae is an annoying whore, sansa is way better than that woman
Yea and then she accuses her of killing joffrey thats real admiration 🤣
She didn't even protect Tyrion, forget Sansa.
People really seem to forget what a piece of sh*t Shae actually was.
I know people said they would be good together, I disagree. Tyrion was more of a confidant and best friend than lover. Tyrion would have been grand to end up at Winterfell, advisor to Sansa. Married to Shae and Sansa married to someone closer to her age. Both happy.
That's what people mean. They don't mean it in any romantic way. But in a way where they would've been good to each other as friends.
That’s often how political marriages were. Romantic love often didn’t happen but if the couple were compatible then they could form strong bonds of trust and respect.
oh no Shae was a snake in the grass. “my lion” whom she slept with his father and accused him to “murdering” joffrey
Yeah, this would’ve been ideal. But I think what people mean is that in this land of arranged marriages, this was one of the least painful ones b/c Tyrion did not take advantage of Sansa (as nearly every other man in her life had done up to this point) and actually tried to make the situation bearable. So they found their dynamic refreshing. Lower-than-whale-shit bar, I know, but hey 🤷🏽♀️ It’s GoT.
Married to shae are you forgetting how she backstabbed both of them😭
It’s sad to know that at this time of her life Sansa thought that THIS is the worst possible scenario she could ever be in because she’s an average teenage girl in an unfamiliar place with people who don’t like her or don’t care for her or have ulterior motives, she’s probably embarrassed for being married to Tyrion and a little afraid. But then it gets worse.. and worse.. and worse. Tyrion is one of the few people who showed her genuine kindness at this time of her life and he is one of the few people who knew her when she was young who hasn’t died. Tyrion respected her and did not take advantage of the poor girl. He says “Sansa isn’t a killer.. yet” not out of spite but out of understanding and respect for the girl, knowing that she is tough and and smart and can handle her ground.
I really wish that they could have stayed together. Tyrion treated her so well
Tyrion should have stayed in Winterfell. Daenerys was a monster.
"We do a little trolling" - Sansa
I loved them together, but as friends. They should have been best friends as time went on, considering how much they each endured at the hands of the Lannisters.
He was so respectful of her youth.
I loved that rare cheeky moment for Sansa. XD
I never realized how truly innocent and childlike this interaction was, you could see she felt a bit more safe and comfortable around Tyrion enough to let her guard down and show a bit of childlike mischief. It’s also the innocence of the fact that she called sheep shit “sheep shift” that got me, I never realized because most of what we saw of Sansa she was being psychologically tortured, lied to, and treated coldly/cruelly, for literally years until she learned how to play the game and manipulate others she had to live in constant fear of being raped by the common folk or brutally killed by the lanisters. I do believe at some point she realized they wouldn’t kill her because they intended to marry her to a lanister to secure the north, but she didn’t know that for the longest time, after her fathers execution she had to have known on some level that Joffrey would never marry her and allow her to become queen, and she genuinely started living in fear and almost total isolation despite being in the castle. So to see her getting to be a naive little “shift” again like all children are, even if it’s just for a moment warms my soul. The few times we genuinely got to see her be a girl we’re always somewhat impactful (even if she used most of those opportunities to be a snarky teenage girl) and I never noticed before but it appears the castle gardens became Sansa’s safe space after her interactions with Margery and her grandmother. Another fun thing I didn’t notice the first time around is that Sansa wasn’t actually offended/saddened by joffrey replacing her with Margery, she was actually extremely grateful that Margery freed her of that burden/fear and tho she pretends to be heartbroken by it she actually serves a tiny coy smile to herself as she walks away after Joffrey’s proposal. I wish we could’ve seen more moments like this and that her life as a capital hostage and political pawn wasn’t so terrifying. There’s a very real, very possible chance that had Arya not disappeared from the castle the day of Ned starks execution that one of the girls would’ve been killed, after all they only needed one stark/lanister marriage to secure the north. And I believe that had any other stark women other then Sansa been the one to be held hostage in the castle they would’ve died. (Especially Arya, everyone loves Arya but my girl was right when she said there’s no way she could’ve survived what sansa survived with her attitude the lanisters would’ve killed her within days, and sansa was right about not being able to endure or survive what Arya had to go through. Sansa’s strength was in her ability to become a social chameleon and learn to climb the social hierarchy, for all intents and purposes once she understood how to play the game of thrones she became very good at it- that’s how she survived, Arya’s strengths were in her ability to overcome practical adversity in the real world, adapt and physically persevere in a man’s world.) People give her character ALOT of shit but I think Sansa was written in a beautiful, complex and very human way, and that her character arc is a direct foil to her sisters arc.
This is the only time Sansa appeared to be happy however briefly, during the entire show.
The Monkey Demon and the Disgraced Daughter is going to be the name of my band.
great name lol😂
It's such a sweet moment. A great improvement upon the books.
Lowkey they had chemistry going on there
Hell of a duo
Sansa was such a sweet girl, broke my heart watching her go through such horror with Joffrey and Ramsy. When you compare her here to the final season, it makes sense why she was so cold and uninviting to ANYONE not from the north. Even if they did arrive with their army and dragons to save the north’s azz
God, I wanted them to stay together so badly 😭
Arya and Tyrion both making lists
Curious 🤔
I wonder who made it to both lists?
Tyrion: do I look like Joffery to you?
Arya:👀
I would love to see Tyrion get married and be happy and loved. He really deserved that
Shae and Tyrion was so good together can't believe it ended the way it did
She never loved him. She knew what to do to survive.
I can't too. I couldn't believe she pretended so good that she loved him, she always seemed as if she was honest and I still want to believe her testimony at his process was her lying to protect her life. A thing that striked me was that she was offered to get away to an island on her own with money but she declined to stay with Tyrion.
Actualy she used him
She just used him, the people who actually thought that she loved him are probably retards who would have failed easily just like Tyrion did, y’all are brainsead
She was manipulating him the entire time.
Oh bless her. It’s almost sad looking back at how innocent she was in the early days
Sansa was so nieve at the beginning!
Most 12 year olds are.
Naïve? Yes. She was a child.
I thought, mostly from this scene, they could’ve been good together… I imagined her asking Robb to spare him when he took King’s Landing after getting the Frey’s back and continuing the war… and then… yeah…
Man i wish they stayed married and together
These two 😫 the way he is so protective and caring
I love the way that he smiled at her.
Finally sansa smiled 😍I love you sansa 🥰
We all eventually find out the resourcefulness and creativity of Lady Sansa
I love how protective Shae was of Sansa. She saw her as so cute and innocent.
So protective she implicated her in the murder of the king cause she was mad at tyrion for trying to protect her from the den of vipers that is kings landing
Cutest revenge plotting ever!
Shae like “I was gonna be jealous of her and then I realized she’s a sweet baby and now I want to wrap her in wool batting and kill anyone who offends her”
Book Tyrion and Sansa and Show Tyrion and Sansa's relationship is night and day
Aw she’s so innocent she thought it was shift not shit that’s so cute
I loved this trio so sad it’s gone😭
In a way, they were perfect for each other.
While their marriage was not solidified in love, they probably would have grown very fond of each other, maybe each taking their own lovers if they didn't divorce/null the marriage. If he couldn't be a Hand at Kings Landing, he surely would have been a tremendous asset as Hand in the North
God Sansa looked so elegant back then ❤
Tyrion is the wise relative that you actually enjoy being around at family gatherings
I love that she gets so comfortable with Tyrion. The times he stood up for her without expecting any favor really added up. She respected his bravery and his manners. This is the first time we see her relax at all since Ned’s execution. It is the first time that she feels safe, and like she doesn’t have to choose her words.
These two are the best characters in the show.
I would of liked to see these two together. He would of treated her like a queen and she could of used his wisdom to make winterfell great again.

I really really wish that they had stayed married. I hope that they get back together later in the story. I like them together. I think they would have come to be a happy couple.
I love this relationship, it's very different from the book one. In the book Tyrion was way shittier of a person, and Sansa was still a scared 14 year old.
Tyrion wasn't really shitty. He was morally broken, but still had some kindness underneath. He mostly ignored her, although in his POV he thought that he wished they could be closer. Sansa didn't trust him at all, though she admitted that he was kind to her.
I wish they had stayed married. They were so good together.
Sansa gets a lot of hate but at the end of the day she was just an innocent little girl 😢
God I know this was weird for them to be married but I honestly ship it
Tyrion Is a Good Man
Love her
sadly in the books she never really opened up to him
If Sansa had been willing to look past his size, they would have been a hell of a power couple.
You forgot about their age difference
Not sure what it is in the show since they aged her up 3 years but in the book she was 13 and he was 26 which feels huge but really isn't if you look at other political marriages in the show. Also once she is like 25 having a 38 year old husband is perfectly fine
I kind of wanted them to end up together in the end, once she was grown up. Maybe they wouldn't be in love, but they cared for each other and it would protect both of them.
Love how Tyrion is like a kill list? Don't be ridiculous! Meanwhile Arya is like interesting... [writes that down] 😂
I love that Sansa needed a little bit of Arya's wild spirit to survive and Arya needed some of Sansa's patience to survive. They truly are the best of the union of Tully and Stark, my girls ❤🩶

Seeing Shae there just brings a bitter taste in my mouth 🙄
Me too, hate her character. 🤬😡
In a what if scenario on the tv series i do think these two (for those about to go crazy about what i typed. This in their world not our modern world) would probably be one of the best couples. They compliment each other's weaknesses but foremost respect each other.
They were made for each other.

They are the cutest couple for throne, sansa and her half Targaryen prince, and even Cersei approves , with she and Sandro as their side pieces,
Arya had a list tho 🤣
The look on Shae's face at the end... She's beginning to take a liking to Sansa
Demon monkey is still my favourite name 😂
I wish they had stayed together longer. They actually were quite a cute couple, and he actually was very nice to her.
The most wholesome relationship in the whole show x]
If Only They had this kind of relationship in the books
So am I the only one that thinks she missheard sheep shit? I literally thought she said sheep shit the first time I saw this episode on HBO
Tyrion was a diverse, cultured but compassionate man when required. In that, he became unlike most men of the Lannister name. He provided warmth and counsel to Sansa out of respect and despising what his nephew was becoming, and behaved appropriately, even while cunningly plotting the downfall of those around him whose own nefarious aspirations threatened him or his family.
This is one of the better aspects of the show I think, where Tyrion and Sansa kid of relate about their tormentors and what people think of them
Lol that lock in gaze at the end
Probably Arya was inspired from the quiet kid in our class
she's so cute i luv her
I love how they shot the scene from below so Sansa towers over Tyrion.
Shift is the vulgar word for dung? Thank you, I will include that in my dictionary!🤣
Omg, Arya, calling her sister out for not even being a sheep, but it's shit🤣.
And look, proving they are sisters, seeking revenge.
LOL Tyrion learned a new trick from Sansa & Arya!
I won’t defend Shea’s later actions, but you can tell she really cared for Sansa after her marriage to Tyrion.
From sewing sheep shit into mattresses to feeding Ramesy to his own dogs.
