    Yeah a lot of people are stuck in this honeymoon phase where they think that if the new games were made in Unity's engine they'd be masterpieces.
    *They have been made in Unity's engine all this time*
    It's just that once you remove the magnetization of Unity you are left with the janky base animations and slow sprinting which has plagued these games for last decade.
    Even the hidden blade kills are identical to those of Unity.
    That said, this is the best AC has been for a long time.
    I'm looking forward to what you can squeeze out of the new geometry.
    Have you rebinded sprint to a bumper button? I hear it makes it feel better.

      @@harinkrobert-angel2710I use L1 for my crouch and down, O for my dodge, R2 (hold) for sprint, X for climbing and R1 for parry. The party felt a tiny bit different, especially if your use to L1 for parry but you’ll quickly get use to it it feels natural quick. Then left dpad for tool wheel, so far it’s felt like the old layout feels good.

      Nah mate there are so many I’ve found after like 3 hours playing and they often are part of a parkour chain like I genuinely think this may be intentional

    I do like this parkour. No side ejects kinda sucks, but overlooking it is easy.

      You actually can side eject quite frequently, the wall runs often end at a position where the wall next to you ends lower, allowing you to eject onto it if you wanted to change direction

      @@Wbubbles3998 I noticed that, but sadly you have to be really close to your target to do so. You can’t cover distance with it, it’s more of a turn than an eject

      @@Wbubbles3998 it feels like they recognized the bootleg side ejects and made them slightly easier to trigger, at least it feels that way to me. maybe its just the world building has more opportunities tbh but mirage doesnt feel too bad at all

      Better than Origins. Mechanically pretty much the same. But faster, way better world allowing to apply advanced techniques more frequently. Manual vaults are also a plus. And if you remap sprint to a trigger, that helps a ton to. I tried for instance doing a jump from sprinting to a rope and would always land on top. Tried from jogging at the same angle and would always do a dive. So being in full control of that adds a good layer of agency.

      @@subpain4257 the level design is similar to Unity in some aspects, and it is more like the Ezio Trilogy and AC1. The ejects, parkour mechanics, and animations are more like Unity/the 2017-2020 games (a little blended between new and old, thus the new new).

    You cannot jump at will , you cannot reliably grab edges or anything your aiming for side and back eject rarely are reliable and do not gain height except in rare instances, the animations look like shit and you can rarely do what your actually trying to do if you had taken the time to learn unity parkour system as opposed to this dumbed down trash you would then understand.
