Gained a subscriber just from how easily your explaining things you aint making it rocket science like the others much appreciated
Thank you for getting straight to the point
Hahaha your a beast! I knew this could be done faster then 2hours! Thank you boss!✊
THANK YOU!!!!
1hr and 25 min.....he was doing like the guy on a creeper at the shop a few years ago. He wasn't moving I thought he fell asleep. I said, hey whatcha doing? He said I'm studying it boss. Maybe he too was just studying it lol.
Thank you for the video, extremely helpful.
Re calibration of electrical throttle body is important too.
Great Video! Strait to the point! Thanks
Great video but I can't believe he only replaced the gasket and didn't install a new thermostat when the unit was all apart. Those things are pretty cheap compared to the work and hassle of tearing the whole system apart.
Hi I just changed the thermostat housing on my 05 mustang and no my heater won’t blow hot air. What do you think it might be?
Thermostat not workimf
You're awesome
I have a 2005 v6 mustang and every time I hit the gas the temperature gauge goes all the way up but instantly gets back to normal
What y’all think??
Your a beast
If it hissing when car is off does that mean it's the gasket
Did you drain the coolant before u taken of the housing
what about the lower half of the housing, that plastic crap that Ford makes doesn't withstand , it's ruined some of our head gaskets usually right after 100 000 miles
He definitely should have replaced the lower housing lol
I have a 2005 mustang and I just changed the thermostat housing with new thermostat and now my heater doesn't blow hot air, what do you think it might be
i think you need to flush the heater core. its easy to do. you can search my videos for that, let me see if i can find you a link.
You have air trapped in the heater core. I don't think the S197s have a bleeder, but you can usually just compress the bypass hose with the radiator cap off to get it out. You can also search RUclips or check Thomas' channel for the engine rev procedure.
Or have a faulty thermostat
Did you drain the radiator first?
no, not much comes out because the thermostat is much higher than the bottom of the radiator. small mess but easier. thanks for watching
@@thomasbriansavingmoney Do you have to bleed it after doing this? If so, do you have a video on how to bleed it?
How much will the dealership charge 🤷🏻♂️
mine is leaking, they wanted 460 just for parts and 1200 total for parts/labor. i bought a whole new housing for 65. gonna do it today with a buddy. dealers are a joke.
The bolt didn't wanna cone off with me
Easy fix. now make a video on how to remove 2 of the 3 bolts that snapped off when removing the entire thermostat body...UGH.
David McCracken THAT FUCKIN SUCKS BRO you fix it?
