    Different configuration, but same overall procedure for '99-'04 Mustang as well, using a T55 Torx bit. I just finished the job on my '02 and man... was that tensioner bolt on there TIGHT! Nice vid and good overall explanation. I was curious about the torque setting on the bolt until I watched this. Thank you!

      I replaced alternator ,tensioner pully , idler pully, and belt and i replaced the belt agin because it was the last option and that stoped the squeek lol so it was just the bent in the end

    My tensioner is to too far out from all the other pulleys and my belt keeps slipping off the crank pulley, new tensioner?

    • @bderkhanvlogs4715
      @bderkhanvlogs4715  5 лет назад +1

      Possible, never seen that before but have you made sure all your bolts are tightened? Especially the one that connected the black pulley to the pulley arm? If yes, then yeah you probably need a new pulley because something is off.

    For anyone with a late 2010 to 2014 Mustang 3.7L. You want Motorcraft BT118 Tensioner and Motorcraft JK6553 Drive Belt.

    Hey man! Great video. Just a quick question. My car makes a squeal only on a cold start or when it’s really cold out.i replaced the belt already but it’s still doing it. Could it be the idler pulley?

    • @bderkhanvlogs4715
      @bderkhanvlogs4715  4 года назад +5

      My car will make some squeaking noises when it’s cold. I think it’s because I replaced my water pump and the idler pulley so it could be because the pulleys aren’t aligning properly so when it’s cold it amplified the squeak. I would recommend, when it’s a bit warmer outside, get a cup of water, when the engine is running, poor water on the belt, if the noise goes away then it’s your belt. If it’s still there then a pulley of yours is making the noise. Chris fix makes a good video on diagnosing it.

    For God sakes idk why I can't find a video where someone spins the wheel to hear its sound and how tight on the arm it should be smh

    how important is it to use a torque wrench for this? kinda on a budget and don’t own one

    • @bderkhanvlogs4715
      @bderkhanvlogs4715  10 месяцев назад

      Honestly, you can rent torque wrenches for free.
      But fr, don’t over tighten them. Just make them good. They’re pretty small bolts.

  • @joshstrope1092

    When you accelerated did the noise get worse?

    • @bderkhanvlogs4715
      @bderkhanvlogs4715  2 года назад +1

      No it didn’t, it was just when it needed to warm up. However my tensioner wasn’t as bad, if your tensioner is really bad or if the belt is really bad then it could be the case

    • @joshstrope1092
      @joshstrope1092 2 года назад +2

      @@bderkhanvlogs4715 yeah it was my belt that was causing the noise. Thanks for the response and stay safe!

      I can confirm the “K060857”, that’s what I see online at oreilly.com. For a gates belt

    My tensioner still shakes Nd I already changed it , what do you think it might be ?

    • @bderkhanvlogs4715
      @bderkhanvlogs4715  4 года назад

      Could be another pulley not functioning properly. See if any other pulley is shaking. Check them all.

  • @ufartface

    didnt hear squeaking before

    • @bderkhanvlogs4715
      @bderkhanvlogs4715  4 года назад +1

      It’s a light squeak. The biggest difference is the actual tension. You can see the before tensioner wasn’t as tight as the after. Negligible difference. But that squeak was very annoying to me
