    Really u should be ripping the seam out instead of cutting the material for better alignment and center placement afterwards.

      Hi Sheshe. I didn't even think about doing that. I'm just so impatient. It would have made it easier to sew back together.

    A suggestion: the thread may not catch on top of your machine if you thread it through the top loop of the thread stand. I also use a stand and I always put the thread through that top loop and it holds it up as it feeds towards the top of the machine. :)

    You can hit the spool +/- to get to the next color

    This is a great video and the stocking of adorable. You are once again so helpful and intuitive. I'd like your opinion: I always pull my thread out at the top like you do to change colors. Karlie Belle says never to do that as it's not good for the machine. She cuts her thread at the top and pulls it out at the needle. I did that for awhile but I'm back to pulling it out at the top after I saw all the wasted thread in my waste basket. There was a LOT! Do you think it hurts the machine to pull it out at the top?
    Also, to jump from one color to the next, push the spool PLUS button on the right and it will take you directly to the start of the next color change. There are the Plus and Minus to move around from each component of the design. I sometimes use those buttons on my designs.

      Hi Janice. I know I have to break this bad habit I have of pulling the thread from the top instead of the bottom. I heard the same thing as well. I will be taking in my machine for servicing sometime next week. I'm going to ask them about this. I didn't know about the button to skip a color change. Just like you guys learn from me, I learn from you all as well. I LOVE IT!

      @@BoricuaSewingCrafts I can't wait to hear what your service technician says. I hope it is OK to pull it out through the top so we don't waste so much thread. I was shocked at how much thread had piled up in my waste basket after cutting/pulling it out next to the needle. But I will do whatever is best for my machine. Glad to help teach you a little something as well. :) Jan

    Hi. Thanks for the tutorial. Just found you today. I like that you left your "oopsies" on video. This happens to all of us.
    How do you package the Christmas stockings for shipping?

    • @BoricuaSewingCrafts
      @BoricuaSewingCrafts  3 года назад +1

      Hi Tricia! Thanks, I'm glad you like the video. I do like providing the videos raw. The mistakes are just as important as doing it right. When packaging the Christmas stockings I fold them in three parts and put them in a clear plastic bag and then place everything inside a shipping bag. You can find these items on Amazon. They are not too expensive.

    Hello Jeanette, once again thank you for a great video. I love how you keep the mistakes in your videos, it reminds us of how we are all humans and make mistakes. I have a question, I know you’re suppose to use the water soluble stabilizer on top but I don’t have embrillance software at the moment to do the knock down stitches could I use tear away stabilizer on top to help with the fluff of the material? I know the tear away stabilizer will eventually disappear but that is only if you wash it and I don’t think I would be washing the stocking for quite a while. Thank you for any help you can give me. I bought stocking before Christmas and really want to do them for my granddaughters. Keep the videos coming, mistakes and all, you’re great.

      Hi Teresa. yes. I totally agree with you. We are all human and I saw matter how long you have been doing things. Mistakes still happen. Tear away stabilizer is used underneath the embroidery. You can use Water Soluble topping on top to help. Another option you can use is Embossed files to help keep the fuzz down. Here is a video I done on this. You don't need software to do this. Just the files and they are not expensive. ruclips.net/video/iOkOGJxcdvc/видео.html

      I usually charge between $15-$20 a stocking. Depending on the amount of stitches. If I use knockdown stitches I charge no less than $20.

      HI Walkbyfaith! I created the file using the software Embrilliance. This is where I included the knock down stitch. I then transfered the embroidery file to the SE1900 on my flash drive.

      Hi Monica. I purchased the stabilizer from Amazon. Do a search for "sticky embroidery stabilizer". I use different brands. I usually just select the one with the best price at the time of my search. I usually buy about 3 rolls of it at a time. I love this stuff and use it often.

    Hi! I was wondering- if the top part of my stockings fold upward, where I’m going to embroider the name, do I still need to cut the side of the stocking? Because I really don’t want to do that haha 😅

    • @BoricuaSewingCrafts
      @BoricuaSewingCrafts  2 года назад +1

      If you have a flat bed machine like the SE1900 you will need to split the stocking. If you don't you will be sewing the front to the back of the stocking and then end up with no opening.
