      Just respect this bike and be smooth on the throttle while you're getting used to it. Also, be sure to rev match when down shifting and use brakes while coming to a stop... because the engine braking is very aggressive and will make the rear wheel hop.

    • @naturalforlife6741
      @naturalforlife6741 2 года назад +2

      @@hackysac4528 I like the power in the rpm range of the MT07. You can really enjoy the bike around 5k in 4th gear. With the Triumph you need to break 6 to 8k really have the same amount of torque. I can get to a dealer for Yamaha just about any where but a Triumph dealership is over 100 miles away from me and cost of the Street Triple wont get you anymore joy than the MT07. Cost of service and available parts and service is cheaper too. I'm so much more comfortable on the MT07 then I was on my Street Triple.

    Thanks to all your videos, I finally snagged one this year. Of all my friend's bikes, the FZ is still the best I've ridden. I can offroad it a little. It's ridiculously torquey. It's great to commute. Absolute hooligan machine yet it gets 65MPG.

    It can wheelie easily because of the short wheelbase, but because the weight is mostly centered, it means it works both ways : the tail also lifts easily when braking, therefore the ABS will trigger fast =)

    Wow man, wonder how you'd compare that if you've ridden the new Monster though which is basically same size / weight and ease of drive but much higher power

    Random question. Do you do the first oil change going by the mileage or month? I just bought a 2022 Mt-07 and going by the service manual im due for a oil change. Service manual say 500 miles or 1 month whichever comes first. I’m at 230 miles.

    For a first bike to a new street rider, what would you recommend to get? A brand new MT-07?, or a used low mileage FZ-07? I know they are basically the same bike, but there are some slight features that are different on both. What’s your advice, and opinion? @Chaseontwowheels

    The rear ABS engaging isn't just the MT07. I have a 2021 Tenere and it always just randomly kicks my foot when im downshifting, sometimes cornering I'll feel my foot get a vibration from the abs. I think its something yamaha has done in conjunction with the CP2 engine. Really weird

    When you mention low stability, when that happen? On the straight or or on turns? I am looking for a motorcycle to carve the canyons.

      Hey bro bro! I came from dirt and 21”mt 07 and it doesn’t feel much different besides weight/suspension. How does a supermoto feel because I think I might want one?

      It's really like riding a dirt bike on the road. It's a blast around town. The mt07 feels like a slightly bulky supermoto.

    For comparison, the cp2 700cc engine is comparative to a 1200c evo engine. A 1200 Sportster will pull off the line harder and quicker but the MT07 will keep up and slowly creep by with the higher top speed. It's practically just as powerful of an engine as a 1200cc thanks to the drivetrain and DOHC.

      thanks i have a sportster 72 1200 2016 and my buddy got a cbr600rr , i am keeping my harley but would like a faster bike but not so far foward like the sportsbike, thought the mt 07 would be faster but i guess not lol

    • @ZipKickGo
      @ZipKickGo 10 месяцев назад

      @@nightmare8162 Granted, my 1200 has a ram air intake, drag pipes and is a lot quicker than a stock one. My buddy had a tuner on his MT07 but never actually messed with it outside of presets. I also wonder how good his shifting is and he could do a sprocket ratio change to definitely beat me off the line.

      Hey, I can’t call myself expert but I wondered the same way. But now I can call myslef happy owner of MT07 2021. Reason of my choice was mostly price but also weight compared to power. I needed 35kw version cause of my age and with that power MT is supposed to be mutch better

  • @iefie

    i bought it and great power. only downside is that the gears not always work wel and a lot of vibration in the handlebars from the engine.
