A great mini size interchangeable lens camera which punches above its weight. I think it can perform and handle better than my Lumix GX9. What I like is the higher flash sync speed of 1/250 sec which is seldom found in entry level cameras The Panaroma Mode would be very useful to shoot wide angle landscape shots without having to stitch them in a computer later. Face and eye detection AF eventhough it is contrast based is very useful for portraits. It might be not face enough for fast moving subjects but well, its not meant to be a sports camera. Should be good enough for 90% of portrait shots.
My goto vlogging camera at the moment. Love my gopro but it has really bad sound, bad in low light and takes rubbish photos. The only thing missing off this camera is a microphone input, it's such a shame they didn't add one.
Looks like a good update to the Mark III but will a battery grip be offered as an accessory, and also the price looks a little high for an entry-level model, even if it has features not usually found on entry-level models. I hope that the post-launch price settles down somewhat !
Yes, I am always surprised to hear reviews about this "entry level" camera... the price is twice the price of an entry level DSLR... :) That being said, I love my OMD EM10 mark... 1 :) and this upgrade is very tempting. Debating between this and gx9...
@@cedricsimonakafrozenjazz I had E-M5 II and E-M10 III and went for Panasonic GX9. No regrets so far. The GX9 is a very capable little Camera. I guess the new E-M10 IV has better IBIS, longer batterie life and probably better C-AF. C-AF (DFD) on the GX9 is not good enough for focusing continously moving subjects. It is not bad, but far from perfect.
@@biolleychristophe4209 I have read GX9 reviews and they were very good. The only thing is, the intervalometer is better for time lapse.... but I don't know if it is as easy and quick for my very special usage, that is: I want the camera to shoot 8 photos, starting in 5 seconds, each shot being 1sec apart. On the OMD, this is really easy and fast (which I need). I do this to shoot 360 panos with a monopod above my head. Instead of using a remote control, I use this excellent self timer.
Olympus is stabilization king!

A great review, thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Another great video! Love the colors in your shots and that stabilization in the video is EPIC! Nice one!!!!
Glad you enjoyed the video and yes that stabilisation is pretty impressive for sure.
You edited the colors or they come directly from the camera ?
Could have been better if the C-Af was tested in the video mode. Anyways good review. Would like to know how it performs in fast action video shooting
Great review! Well detailed and very well represented with what the camera will actually be used for :-) Keep up the good work!
Say I just bought one. I cannot get the super control panel to work. Can you please tell me how to set up the camera so that it appears. Thanks!
You probably found this out, but this still needs an answer: there is a dedicated button for the SCP beside the ON/OFF button.
Excellent review! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Does it have 4k cropped video ?

Eagerly waiting for this product ❤️❤️❤️
Woaw! That was really a good and helpful video. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
How to check if the product I got is genuine?
I bought it from Amazon but not sure if it's genuine or fake
Should I wait for it or a E-M 1 MK II is good enought
sortie microphone externe??
So what if I want to mount the camera on a tripod and do self portraits, I don't think I could see the screen?
Does this camera have an app for a phone? I use this with other cameras as my eyesight won’t let me see the screen anyway.

@TH4U Well, it is often reviewed as an "entry level" camera. 700 is not "entry level" to me :)
This is nearly as expensive as OM-D EM-5 mark iii in Japan. (87000 Yens. vs 90000 Yens).
Swan song camera? 😀
It may also spell the end of the E-PL range as it now has the infamous selfie-screen
1:55 LOL! good luck with that using a hand held tripod - talk about epic fail in design. Olympus should have took a leaf from the canon g7x range
