LFG man. The lowest of lows for Mecole first half of the season sitting on the bench with the Jets to coming back to KC and catching the game winning TD pass in the Super Bowl. Redemption.
I'm a Jets fan and I was happy to see we traded him - not because he was bad or anything, but I KNEW this guy was CLEARLY the 2nd best receive on the Jets but was not getting the reps for whatever stupid ass Hacket reason. Good on Mecole and really happy for the guy to win another chip considering the way he was treated by my team. Respect
This interview was incredible RC, just wow. As a Chiefs fan, we weren't told too much about his injury. It was kept so vague and many were dismissing him as being weak, not wanting to play, not really hurt. etc. Thank you for allowing him this space to talk about his experiences. Raised my respect for him tremendously. I wish you all the best in your career! I know you will continue to excel!! Thanks again!!
Watching this the day after The Chiefs beat the Ravens. Most times it's better to be lucky than good. Hardman still on this team. Operation Three-peat.
Mecole, I have been cheering for you since you were drafted here in KC. I’m so proud of the person you are. As a special needs mama, I cried ugly tears in the end. Thank you for being you and for SEEiNG these special kiddos. Go be great. Always. ❤
Sensational interview, gotta love how transparent Mecole was here. A lot of people will think he buried the Jets & who is he to talk cause he's a role player but when you go from structure & excellence to mediocre & dysfunction... OF COURSE you're going to have something to say about it. Furthermore, this young man has incredible character to work with special needs children & understands the grace & thankfulness in being able to function through live without assistance. He's got it all together upstairs! Happy for his success! phenomenal episode fellas!
Do you watch the Franchise or any of the Chiefs behind the scenes or NFL Mic'd Up? If not, I highly recommend doing the research, Mecole has been out here...
He makes big plays when we need him to - he would have had another big catch if he didn't complain about the pass interference on him instead of trying to catch the ball 😂 he had to get his head right last season, but I feel like he has the potential to really take off this next season
Amazing interveiw guys! Chiefs Kingdom didn't know the full extent of Mecole's injury, so my mind was blown. Thank you for giving this KC treasure a space to tell his story. He deserves the flowers.
Loved hearing Mecole Hardman talking about his experience. I'm super glad that the football on the winning play was returned to him. And I loved seeing his super bowl rings.
wow he is such a humble and amazing young guy. his story about his injury is really just so inspiring and really made me feel grateful for my life too.
This is so good. I cannot imagine Mecole missing out on 57, and later being traded, and later returning to Chiefs Kingdom, and then...catching the winning touchdown for Super Bowl 58. Proud to be a Chiefs fan. Love you Mecole, hope to have you back next season.
Fantastic interview! Love the thoughtful vibe. Mecole's comments on the Chiefs locker room feeling like everyone is on the same page is so important. I've felt that personality is a huge factor in who the Chiefs acquire. Nearly everyone on that team is heavily teamwork-focused. You can tell they love each other and genuinely want to support each other. That has to help them go the distance.
Since Mecole was drafted I have liked him so much, such a likable and talented guy. 2022 was supposed to be his year to really shine when Tyreek left. His injury seemed so serious and mysterious all season and I felt so bad for him. I'm so glad he's recovered and glad he came back to the Chiefs. Stay healthy young man. Your little baby is so cute.
Last 5 minutes is really powerful, if anyone doesn't have time to listen to the whole podcast. Don't get me wrong, it's all fucking fantastic. Just that last bit was a lot of insight into the man. Great job RC and crew.
This was a great interview. Mecole is an awesome player and an awesome person, very humble and giving. I’m glad this interview was about him especially after he caught the ball to win the super bowl. He deserves more spotlight on him because of the injury he overcame and then winning the super bowl and for his team. All the best to you Mr Hardman looking forward seeing you play another season.
As a Chiefs fan-- this was really cool to hear. The Chiefs are always very hush hush in terms of giving details about injuries. They keep all the details close to the vest, and dont ever give the fans or even the media covering the team, much info to work with.. i knew about a very VERY vague groin/pelvic injury. Never did i hear any of these details, and i follow the team religiously. Mecole giving all the full details about this paints a much clearer picture. Really cool to listen to this-- even though it was a rough time for him personally
I love how astute RC is about the emotional side of the injury. As someone who was also a gifted athlete, and whose identity was that as well, I broke my neck and was paralyzed playing football. While I had a super rare once in a lifetime recovery, you don’t ever fully recover. I was never the same and my body is and will be broken for the rest of my life. I was 14. I have suffered through depression, PTSD and still have moments where I get sad and heartbroken. So I really appreciate Ryan asking about that.
This man is amazing. Loved the whole episode. Very insightful. Didn’t know much about him personally but just came out after hearing this as a fan. Keep being great Mecole! You’ll have a brilliant future
I have loved Mecole from day one. He’s honest, he’s confident but humble, and he summed up the poor leadership at the Jets in the nicest way possible. His second year, I was chopping vegetables and preparing dinner and I got a notification that he was having a Twitter Spaces so I jumped on. They were debating if a hot dog was a sandwich. It was some seriously funny shit! Happy he recovered from the injury, God definitely has him!
OMG. Mecole said it perfectly! They had too many egos in the locker room, they weren’t doing it right. Nobody was acting right. Welcome to what makes Andy Reid a phenomenal coach able to take multiple players on multiple teams to the Super Bowl. It’s team mentality, it’s having a standard of conduct, expectation, leadership and accountability. Going to another team has to be a future shock. And for him to come back and be welcomed back says so much. And then catching the game winning touchdown in the Super Bowl. Any team can win on any given Sunday, but the Chiefs will be in the conversation any time they show up because they ARE a team.
OHMYGOODNESS, Mecole man, that was eloquent football-ese for us Chiefs fans. We all nearly cried in unison when you came back. Then we ALL DID CRY IN UNISON WHEN YOU caught a 3 yard pass. Thank you, sir.
Pivot Podcast had an awesome interview with Mecole Hardman. He's a caring and loving man for family and special children. Down-to-earth young man. Enjoyed it while I drove home from 12 hours career. Much love❤! Mecole keep doing your thing!!😊
The fact that KC already discuss that if the 49ers scored a TD in OT. They were ready to go for the 2 point conversion. That’s how ready they were. Meanwhile 49ers were perplexed on the sidelines. This KC winning culture is going to be hard to beat. It’s a team there’s no individual egos. Perfectly explained by Mecole. It’s a team sport.
These three dudes are perfect together .. man, JC, sometimes I'm like can a brotha move on? Can a brotha be happy, JC...lol. Then you got Freddie T. Who is actually asking questions that could go either way...but Chandler?!? We know we about to crack the hell up ..this dude is the best at funny shock...love these dudes...keep it up
As a Swiftie, the major question is, how did the 49ers NOT KNOW???? oh my god i’ve been doing this for 4 months and i knew that they shouldn’t have taken the ball!! 🤣🤣 49ers fans should demand accountability from their team!
Mr. Hardman, thank you for bringing awareness to children with special needs. You truly understand what they look for in people in order to put forth their best efforts in learning and social settings. Children with behavioral and learning disabilities really do, do better when they sense that you are authentic and caring. And those qualities Mr. Hardman seem to be you! May God bless you and your family. May he give you many more blessings throughout your career.
Mecole is a breath of fresh air, didn’t know this side of him, great, genuine, and funny guy. Great Job Pivot
Seems like a really NICE guy. His passion is working with special needs kids. Come on bro. He doing GODs work.
Was thinking the same thing
LFG man. The lowest of lows for Mecole first half of the season sitting on the bench with the Jets to coming back to KC and catching the game winning TD pass in the Super Bowl. Redemption.
You the man, man
LFG
‼️‼️‼️💯💯
I feel u Cole. Im glad Mecole got his chance to bounce back. #12
And aint let go of that ball since! 🏆🏆🏆
That beginning with Channing and the baby was priceless. Thanks guys for reminding us of the bigger picture.
Mecole aint let that ball go since he got it...🔥🔥🔥🔥
Most important play of his career in the biggest moment, and he made the play.
@@dalehammers4425 love to see it .
That was so beautiful seeing Channing in baby mode
He's most definitely a daddy
I'm a Jets fan and I was happy to see we traded him - not because he was bad or anything, but I KNEW this guy was CLEARLY the 2nd best receive on the Jets but was not getting the reps for whatever stupid ass Hacket reason. Good on Mecole and really happy for the guy to win another chip considering the way he was treated by my team. Respect
I agree and I’m a jet fan as well
Mecole unintentionally funny asf
Real talk, I'd love to see a podcast with Mecole and Chad Ochocinco. That joint might break RUclips...
Dude he really is 😂
This interview was incredible RC, just wow. As a Chiefs fan, we weren't told too much about his injury. Yes I agree, as a chiefs fan watching this, I was shocked I had heard nothing about this extent of his injury

Special Ed teacher here, and I was happy to hear that too! And kudos to you and your child too!

You could be a practice squad player and still know the difference between trash and class.
So glad Mecole caught this pass so we could see this side of him!!!
Do you watch the Franchise or any of the Chiefs behind the scenes or NFL Mic'd Up? If not, I highly recommend doing the research, Mecole has been out here...
he had PED's in his system at the time of the catch. (He'd be *CAUCASIAN* if he tested *NEGATIVE )
Mecole is such a good dude, full of positive energy. Hope the chiefs bring him back for a 3 peat.
He makes big plays when we need him to - he would have had another big catch if he didn't complain about the pass interference on him instead of trying to catch the ball 😂 he had to get his head right last season, but I feel like he has the potential to really take off this next season

Go Dawgs! I was a student at UGA the same time as Mecole. Great to see him being so successful!
Loved hearing Mecole Hardman talking about his experience. I'm super glad that the football on the winning play was returned to him. And I loved seeing his super bowl rings.
RC is funny. "You weren't going to be on here if you were still with the Jets." 😂😂😂
That’s wild lol 😅
He was serious ASF 🤣🤣🤣
Yea cause Rodgers went down in 4 plays lol
BIG FACTS 😂
Mecole is such a bright light. Can't wait to see him ball again with Pat and the guys 🏈🔥
Man mecole such a vibe 😂. And a stand up man from what it sounds.
Mecole full of energy! Got his head on straight, got his mind right. You love to see it!!! Great sit down!
Thank you Jets for giving us Mecole back. ❤
You can’t be anything but happy for Mecole. His energy was great!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯
RC, you are the new Barbara Walters! Lol, you ask those deep questions that bring out all the truths and emotions!!
wow he is such a humble and amazing young guy. his story about his injury is really just so inspiring and really made me feel grateful for my life too.
This is so good. I cannot imagine Mecole missing out on 57, and later being traded, and later returning to Chiefs Kingdom, and then...catching the winning touchdown for Super Bowl 58. Proud to be a Chiefs fan. Love you Mecole, hope to have you back next season.
I am happy to see Mecole getting recognized. Thank you @ThePivot for inviting Mecole.
Him with 3 rings is crazy..
Chiefs fan who came for Mecole, subbed cause of you guys. Great pod. 👍
Mecole knows what he’s looking at and how to explain it. Bruh can be a great coach or analyst one day. No bs.
Fantastic interview! Love the thoughtful vibe. Mecole's comments on the Chiefs locker room feeling like everyone is on the same page is so important. “Maybe in the morning .. I’m tired “ 🤣

This young man is from my hometown. We were all behind him. We also knew he was gonna get his shot. He is truly our hero.
Fred's hat game is Crazy 💯💯💯
Lokey too nothing crazy
Most bald dudes do 😂
This interview needs more views for sure, great content
This is a cool dude. So genuine. The Pivot does a great job of allowing the guest's personality to come out.
I love how honest he was during this interview and didn’t hold back!
His energy is contagious so welcoming
Last 5 minutes is really powerful, if anyone doesn't have time to listen to the whole podcast. Don't get me wrong, it's all fucking fantastic. Just that last bit was a lot of insight into the man.

Love when athletes are open and honest about there mistakes. Great conversation about his times with the Jets.
❤ this interview! I could have listened to him all day.
“It’s because he got a black haircut!” 🤣😂😂
Amazing interview. Mecole is genuine and fun to listen to
One of my new favorite players. Mecole is an awesome dude.
This is definitely one of the top pivots, never laughed this much on any previous episodes. Dude is a gem and so funny! We need more of Mecole 😂

I thought it was six straight afc championship appearances?
As a Kansas Citian, this interview made me so happy.
Mecole sat up to the edge of his seat talking about Trav's pregame speech.
What a bright young man. I know his parents are so proud of him.
I have loved Mecole from day one. He’s honest, he’s confident but humble, and he summed up the poor leadership at the Jets in the nicest way possible. I always like Cole but now I admire and respect him so much.

He's a class act through and through.

I felt that, “AYEEEE COME GET ME!!!” 😂
Tampering
Mecole Hardman sound hella country and I'm all for it 😂.
Incredible interview, Mecole got a testimony that will preach all 52 Sundays!! Happy for you bro!!! Walk that thang out.
Fred Taylor, RC, and Channing didn’t ask about his time and pivot at UGA from QB to receiver. That was his biggest pivot, finding his real position.
Never even knew he played QB
Absolutely was a dawg at QB too. This was a hella pivot!!
I thought he played CB.
@@ronskullie9380 he played everything as most phenoms do
I have mixed emotions about this situation with Jets & Mecole Hardman .... I'm glad to hear Mecole's version of the happenings.
HOW u have mixed emotions when he's saying his side of his story. U clearly see how messed up jets is.

Hey guys Thank you! What a fun look into the Chiefs and one of its big play stars. Andy has his Fantasy Football team at last!
Great interview 💪🏼
For us football novices this interview gave us an excellent insight into the game. Thanks
As a Swiftie, the major question is, how did the 49ers NOT KNOW???? oh my god i’ve been doing this for 4 months and i knew that they shouldn’t have taken the ball!! 🤣🤣 49ers fans should demand accountability from their team!
Great content...love the laid back conversational style of this group.
