So overrated! Read my comment knucklehead L has more SACKS than he does, 84 for Mr. overrated 131 for Al Baker +23 and one season better than Strayhan know the facts before you talk knuckleheads
Howie is the best. Played with Kyle back in the day and he'd come out and work with the linemen after practice and just share his time. That flat top still going as strong as ever
I'm listening to the pod right now as I write. Really enjoying the football talk, back & forth between Julian and Howie...so informative. Thanks for a great one!
Howie had the best memory and the best stories and the best demeanor and personality of any former nfl player. Name one that’s a better conversation than Howie Long. You can’t.
All I wanted to add and say is that I miss the 80's. Football and in general. Also, incredible interview all involved, great podcast, and Howie doesn't disappoint. The dude is a legit legend.
I have watched every one of these…this is by far the best. With wings, zin, cigs, and or drinks would have been best plus! Thank you squirrelden and the best two co hosts on podcasts. As a fins fan, will my favorite sports related podcast ever. Thank you all!
Listened to this podcast on Spotify and brought back so many great memories of those grest Raiders teams. Howie Long is one of my all time favorite football players and really enjoyed this podcast. I really enjoy listening to all of Julian's podcast and love him and Gronk together.
This is awesome! Im a lifelong fan going back to the Stabler Days! I loved Howie Long, Marcus Allen, Lester Hayes and the rest of this those legendary players!
Lets get it straight. The Patriots were like the Raiders, not the other way around, it was 1984. Head coach Tom Flores gathered his Silver and Black-clad warriors on the sideline. "No let up, no let up. Just 30 minutes of Raiders football and its ours,"
its crazy the transition from nfl to personal life, hes so calm and the nicest guy and on the field we he was the "we have to stop howie long" problem to the start of every team meeting
Only fitting a Long podcast is Long!! 🔥🔥 Let's get Howie, Kyle and Chris for a Long Long Long Lonnnnggg podcast! 🔥🔥🔥 Also, RAAAIIIDDEERRRSS 🏴☠️🔥🏴☠️🔥🏴☠️
Edelman brother, I’m really happy for you and all your success. I hope your podcast really takes off and you find yourself in a really good place and very prosperous. Great job!
"Lester in my mine should be in the Hall of Fame" such an understatement. If the NFL had any sense they should have put Hayes in a long time ago. Way too much politics on who should or shouldn't get in. Too many great ones not getting in until after they pass away.
Babosic..lake so cool im a southern nh guy so cool to hear Howie talk about child hood memories and my grandparents ended up in Montana as well so cool to hear this
Great interview - tough memory for us Redskins fans but great to hear Howie’s perspective on them as an opponent. Now we just need John Riggins to come on and talk about SB17 or the ‘82 NFC championship game! Awesome show!
Another great show today Good information and content smash the like button you filthy animals. Howie Long is a great Raiders legend, obviously. Ty for having him on the show
I grew up in Pa. Never a Raiders fan or even Raiders fan adjacent. But I always thought Howie was the coolest dude ever and it was really cool to see Chris win a Super Bowl in Philly.
“Commitment to Excellence”…on every Tampa billboard and bus stop bench in black and silver in this game. Pre -game Redskins hotel was full of “we got this” merriment . Raiders hotel was deathly silent with serious intent. We had 24 guys in our group who flew in to watch the game. We bet each other a hundy . So 12 had the Skins. 11 had the Raiders. It was straight up no points given though Vegas gave Skins more that a 7 pts. I had not bet yet and was being pressured. I was not flush with money to lose. I declared for the Raiders and immediately got 12 calls for $1.2 grand. Could have been a million. Did not tell my wife. But, the Raiders came through. Never forget that Super Bowl.
Howie is my guy, these raiders and previous years teams are what I wish we had, kinda what we hang onto for those old enough, the mystique was real! Go Raiders!
Howie was my favorite player as a young teen. Growing up in Ma and him from Charlestown was big. In high school I wore #75 because of him. Starting nose guard and left offensive tackle Jr and sr year.
Edelman you were my favorite player as a much older man. Of course I like Brady and many other players but you had that inner fire that I always had. It was great follow the Pats for all those years... Now, well... 😅
Howie was before my time as a Raider fan, but my dad always talked about him, and ive seen a bunch of his highlights, its too bad the raiders have been in a funk since 2003, as all Raider fans we hope that they do get their shit together and start winning again.
Lester comes into my local card shop all of the time and he loves to talk Raiders FB. He loves Howie, Allen and agrees with you that Haines belongs in the HOF. So be it!!!
Talks about that Raider vs Bear game in 1984 where Ray Guy refused to come in, that truly was the most violent football game that I've ever seen in my 50 years of watching ball. Dick Enberg also said the same thing. Anyone who enjoys old school tough football,go watch the game on RUclips there's plenty of uploads of it. You won't be disappointed
Love ur channel I always see ur famous interviews wit all football players etc, but u guys definitely gotta get Marcus Allen in ur show.........SHOW MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!
Edelman’s podcast needs more views man. This stuff is gold
Looks like you'll just have to watch it twice!
Script ain't working for him no more🤣🤣 Gotta call uncle Godell
340k views in a month for a podcast is pretty good I’d say
Howie dropped some absolute gems in this
He sure did!! Such a legend
Absolute legend!
You are
Indeed, Howie is. #AbsoluteLegend

I haven't felt good, as a Raiders fan, in a long time. This one got me going.
Howie is such an all time Raider
@@gameswithnamesHe is but our franchise is dysfunctional as fuck
I don't think I could ever tire of listening to Howie Long tell stories
Howie is the best. Played with Kyle back in the day and he'd come out and work with the linemen after practice and just share his time. That flat top still going as strong as ever

Great cast tonight. Thank you.
We love the Rrrrrrraiders in the Nuthouse
I'm listening to the pod right now as I write. Really enjoying the football talk, back & forth between Julian and Howie...so informative. Thanks for a great one!
The best interview I’ve ever seen Julian! I’m 72 and I’ve seen a lot. I could have listened to you guys all day!
Man I watched Howie and the boys as a kid in the 90s. Its awesome to see them doing the same thing 30 years later!
After 1984 that organization has hit rock bottom you missed the great raider teams 🏆🏆🏆
Howie had the best memory and the best stories and the best demeanor and personality of any former nfl player. Name one that’s a better conversation than Howie Long. You can’t.

HOWIE IS A RAIDER LEGEND!
Terry Bradshaw and now Howie Long! I don't know how you can top this.
Two old school gentlemen..I'll take them every day!
Howie has been my celebrity crush forever
He is a handsome guy.
He’s looking good at 65! 😅
@@NMTrucks Hell yeah he is. His wife is a lucky woman
He is the man 🤷🏻♂️

Chris Long and or Kyle Long would be great guests too.
Boy do I have some good news for you!

That 1983 SB was brutal for us Redskin fans.
Lived in MD at the time just fresh off if beating Miami
After the game could not hear a pin drop

'3000 Miles to Graceland' is a classic...

Love that movie!
I was already a 9 year old Raider fanatic on Jan. 22, 1984. It's arguably the best day of my childhood. 17 Bob Trey O!
Howie Long is terribly underrated on the all time list of players. He was a dominant force playing everywhere on the line.
Great interview. Howie is a class act. Great player and commentator.
Babosic..lake so cool im a southern nh guy so cool to hear Howie talk about child hood memories and my grandparents ended up in Montana as well so cool to hear this
This is by the far the best guest you have had. Between howie or matt slater but this one’s the best
Might be the best show you fellas have done yet.
Is there anyone that embodies the Raiders more than Howie Long?
Al Davis?
John Madden?
Jack Tatum
Lyle Alzado and Jim Otto.
Ken Stabler

There's a lot to admire about Howie Long and not just that he was a very good football player.
I just want to see my raiders win a Superbowl. I'm 35 and haven't even seen a playoff win since I was 13
"Don't stand around piles" This is great advice more coaches need to be saying this.
