As a Cowboys fan I completely understand what Dez is saying how the media portrayed him and how the organization and league never helped push his story and always shown him in a negative light. The only people around here that knew the real Dez were the ones who actually went out of there way to learn about him. Much respect to the pivot for once again shining a light on the man behind the player.

I won't go into detail because I don't want the risk of being sued by him. I know a few ppl in the cowboys organization...But the Cowboys use retired players to MENTOR/ monitor the high value players every day and night. SO your monitors calling them at night to make sure they stay out of trouble....They even need to call them in the morning to wake them up to go to practice...Like little kids, for some of them. IN dallas, a lot of them engage in drinking, high speed driving, daily visits to the strip club.. In terms of notable cowboy players--one of them has been known to beat their own mom(fucked up shit right), called 911 and the recording..wink wink..They kept so much shit under the rug to allow him to play...That's why the cowboys can't win, they don't hold players accountable@@kelvintrell3347

Dez’s stepmom is a bad person who happens to be a woman. Not all women are bad, not all men are bad. Just as Dez expressed himself and allowed us in his personal experience to some degree, he stated he was different. He managed not to continue the cycle of dysfunction and give his children a chance.
Not everyone can do that, so they repeat, rehash, and regurgitate what they know…ergo his stepmom.
I’m not giving her a pass, I just know many people treat others how they’ve been treated, regardless if they are a man or woman.

As a cowboy fan It kinda baffled me when he said he wish it was more chemistry between him and Romo because growing up back then they were the most unstoppable duo I ever seen. And that 2014 year was the closest we have ever been to getting another superbowl. I’m surprised he even vouched for Dak because his career immediately went downhill once Dak got behind center. All them 5 yard dink and dunk passes weren’t doing anything for a receiver of his caliber and wholeheartedly believe they should’ve let romo take the reins back that 2016 year once we made the playoffs..

Dez Bryant has brought up something important. That no matter what level of fame or status you get, we as fans don’t understand the amount of pressure they go through as individuals. The money and the cameras don’t fix any of those mental health past. Shout out to Fred for showing love. I appreciate this podcast. For making this place a safe place for athletes. Dez, as a fan of the NFL I appreciate your years. But the most I have to say you are great father bro. You are making a difference! Much love brotha.

This episode touched my soul on another level bro. I broke down watching it. Grown men cry and that’s okay. Trauma should be met with therapy when the time is right and this felt like therapy to me.

Man DEZ got me crying over here!! lol so proud of the man he’s become and I’m just a stranger. We all have obstacles in life, some greater than others, but for DEZ to be open and vulnerable, helps those dealing with it now because he’s a voice for those going through it. We are never alone. Thank you Pivot for this platform, otherwise we would’ve never heard this from DEZ. Much Love to all ❤

I’m not a football fanatic but I absolutely love this podcast because it’s not only football it allows individuals that are held to unrealistic standards many times, to simply show and say I’m human I make mistakes, I live, I learn and I deserve grace. Excellent episode as usual and Thank you Dez for being transparent and vulnerable sending love & light y’all’s way ✨✨💫💫💓💓💓

Dez would be a great example of change and what it means to overcome and help others.

I loved the interview. Dez did a great job. You can tell he has even more things he wanted to open up about. Only 1 question. Why at the end of the interview at 1:20 min in, Dez was telling the story about Jerry and taking a knee, the video edit cuts away to the current Cowboys team? Why did we not get to hear the full story? Why edit this part out?

I haven’t even came close to facing the trials and tribulations Dez has growing up but we’ve all been kids. When he read that note saying “don’t yell at your kids at night and expect them to sleep well. Don’t yell at them in the morning and expect them to have a good day…” hits home. Kids are very impressionable, and us as adults, the things that we may brush off or not care about may be the same things that stays in a kids’ mind for life and could affect their outlook growing up…

Before a breakthrough medicine came out recently I used to struggle with my Cystic Fibrosis. Constantly in and out of the hospital. As a child I was a huge Oklahoma State Cowboys fan and I messaged Dez on Facebook around 2008. He responded in a lengthy encouraging message that had me smiling ear to ear and filled me with hope. I will always love and support him because of that. So many things he does behind the scenes bc he’s truly a wonderful person.

I’ve been watching football since the mid 70’s. Receiver has always been my favorite position, followed closely by DB (all).
From Paul Warfield, Roy Green, Charlie Joiner, Roger Carr, Kenny Burrough double 00! through the modern era. Dez Bryant has been one of my all time favorites to watch play. I was excited when he came to the Ravens and the support he gave to Lamar. I love the way he played. That passion. Glad to see the young man maturing. Wishing but nothing for the best for the man!
I always wished for players like him to get in to coaching at some level.
