@@celsiiius that's like back when Peyton signed with denver, there was no player I had greater respect for in the league than Peyton Manning. Probably cuz he owned the Chiefs as a colt.. Then signed with the arch rivals, attracted a ton of all-star players to ALSO join denver, and then be proceeded to dominate the Chiefs again wearing rival colors lol... But thats the effect truly elite players have, across all sports. There's just not a lot of weakness to their game. If you claim to not like them, it's probably just because you're a hater.. That, and they attract other talent. Guys wanted to play with manning cuz they knew it'd give them a fantastic shot at a championship. With mahomes, every one of the stars (outside of Tyreek hill) have all taken a little less than they could have got elsewhere to stay and play with him. These kinds of players are not only supremely talented and can raise the game of their teammates, theyre also cultural cornerstones for franchises. I'm glad my team has him!
@@ryanwhite9437 Great point about Peyton Manning. I loved watching him play, even as a Texans fan. He was on such a different level, calling audibles, and the only QB in over 30-40 years to truly call his own plays. I see a lot of that in Mahomes as well. Great guy, smart player, and on a different level so every play of every game is something to watch. Plus Pat is a fellow Texan (Actual Texan, not the poor excuse for a football team we have) so I'm always going to pull for him. Jalen Hurts is also a Texan, so I'd love to see a Chiefs vs Eagles Super Bowl.
@@celsiiius I have a genuine hate for the Broncos (because of family) but this is nice to see. Honestly thought everyone fan hated him just for having to play him
Shout out to Whitehouse, TX. My son was a freshman when Pat was a senior at WHS. The summer before Pat's senior season, I was up at the field where the fb team was practicing. Mahones was warming up with a wideout tossing the ball back and forth. I recall walking by them, hearing the ball hum through the air when he released it. It caught me off guard. I recall thinking to myself, "Holy shit, this kid has a gun on him." Little did I know.....
Pat knowing Chiefs history warms my heart. This fan base's experience the previous 30 years before he was drafted is what makes this era of Chiefs football so special.
The Vermeil/Priest Holmes days were pretty good. And Schottenheimer had some really good years too. He gets a bad rap, but some of the worst luck I've ever seen. I'm not even a Chiefs fan and I felt bad for him. Every year the Chiefs would make the playoffs, and like clockwork they'd have a major injury or a horrible call or just some weird stuff happen so he never got a Super Bowl ring, but they had a great run.
@@RonniePTexan true, chiefs fans had pretty much acknowledged we were cursed until mahomes. The smith days were pretty good but I knew for a fact there was a 0% chance at a title.

He seems nice enough but isn't as personable or humble or even A real as like a Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts or even the big names like the Manning brothers.
I'm a Broncos fan and I truly never thought I'd relate to Travis in any way, and then he talked about the honey BBQ chicken sandwich from Whataburger and now we relate on a personal level. He's borderline one of my best friends now, a man of taste, a man of culture.
Wow! Pat is locked in even in informal conversations with his bros: “To answer your question…” He’s definitely going down as one of the QB greats. It was great to see him give a shoutout to Jalen Hurts. Go Birds!🦅🏆

My brother in law is a DIE HARD Eagles fan, and I love what they’re doing with their game plan. That being said, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes might be the most dynamic duo in the NFL. It doesn’t matter who your team is, facts are facts. They’re disgustingly good. If they’re both healthy, you can’t guard that.
This was definitely a treat, first Jalen Hurts now Pat Mahomes, New Heights is killing it! For a future guest edition I think it be fun to have mama Kelce & ol Ed Kelce share some family stories growing up & talk about family would love to hear insight ! Great episode keep killin it guys !!!

The center later said he didn't realize who was on him till he heard Mahomes' very identifiable voice and realized something bad had happened to his qb. He went perfectly still till they could get him off. I think it was actually Chris Harris from the Broncos who slid Mahomes to the ground.

Hey at least the Bears have some hope with Fields. They can build a team around his rushing ability. They just need to get him someone elite to throw to.
@@chiefmac88 Good luck with that. The Bears have a way of ruining QBs. And unless Fields gets his passing game going better, the Bears will end up trying to use a high school/college type option offense. It won't end well for the guy.

As a tech alum who was in Lubbock all of pats years, my opinion would be his game didn’t change much, the talent level around him did. He’s dialed back some of the stuff he HAD to do to give us a chance. Great guy all around. Waited on him at a steak house in Lubbock many times. Always the nicest guy, always took time to take pictures with all the kids. Just a great dude
Also nothing to do with pat probably, we were told to stop selling pat’s ma homie shirts and then a few weeks later there were the student shirts passed out with the same phrasing
It’s still amazes me how mature Travis has become! From throwing his yellow towel at a ref to being one of the best KC chiefs of all time.We are glad and hope Pat and Travis retire in KC .Not sure I could imagine them anywhere else.
I’m raised and still live in S. Philly so bleeding green is in my DNA. The fact that the Kelce bros are still professional football players in the NFL and probably going to Canton one day is simply awesome. Just hearing about the game and how much they not only respect it but the passion, dedication and love of the game, comes through so authentically. Staying humble and grounded in this day and age isn’t the usual way of the world in my opinion, but both of these men seem to keep it real. Thank You to the Kelce Bros for not being fake. Best wishes going forward and hoping for the Lombardi Trophy to come back to Philadelphia!!!! (Sorry, not sorry Travis).

Love hearing Patrick talk about Alex Smith and the respect he has for him. CHIEFS KINGDOM
I was looking for that comment! I love the love Alex gets, he deserves it!
Patrick Mahomes dad once said, "my son can never repay Alex Smith for everything he did for him."
Facts, if the niners stayed with Alex instead of going to kaepernick, they would have probably won that SB.
This is an unnecessary shot at Kaep. Smith couldn’t get San Fran to the Super Bowl and Kaep did. Same thing happened in KC and why they went with Pat.
I want to be clear, I love Alex Smith and always thought the media did him bad. He was never as bad as they made him out to be. As a matter of fact, his numbers were on par with Matt Stafford and Andrew Luck.

As a life long die hard Chiefs fan, I'm sooo happy that Pat is our guy. Even if you're a fan of another team, how can you not like this guy? Hes humble, he's greatful and appreciative, hes selfless, he's a funny, down to earth guy, and thats all on top of his unbelievable talent. What a dude.
broncos fan here, and even though I hate having to play him the man is just hard to not like
@@celsiiius that's like back when Peyton signed with denver, there was no player I had greater respect for in the league than Peyton Manning.

I’m a StL sports fan and when the Rams left, I get every chiefs game and he’s so fun to watch. Young and mature on and off the field!
Facts bro
